I knew this was going to be amazing, but I enjoyed it even more than I thought I would!! It was such a good start to a new series and I already love the Black family almost as much as I did the Ashby's!!

Hallie is back in her hometown and it's off to a good start after she meets a man in a bar, a man that she feels an immediate connection to.. Beau has the weight of continuing his family's cattle ranch and raising his twin daughters after their mother's death.. He closed his heart for good, until the first day of school has him face to face with a woman he met at the bar, woman that turns out to be his ex's long-lost sister, woman he hasn't stop thinking about. The attraction isn't gone, but they are determined to fight against it. But now that summer is here and he needs help with the girls, Hallie is there to help. Living together under the same roof and spending time together, they are getting closer, but are they ready to cross that line?

Beau was an amazing father and there is nothing I love more than cowbay and a single dad with a dirty mouth!! He was loyal, honest and direct, carrying far too much on his shoulders, but seeing Hallie lighten that load, even a little bit, was everything!!
Hallie was strong and always there to help. She deserved every ounce of happiness and her bond with the girls was wonderful. The moments where she would tease Beau were my favourite. I hated her ex with a burning passion though!! 

Hallie and Beau were perfect for each other, you could see their explosive chemistry since that first encounter and then seeing them fight against it, avoid one another, because they felt it wasn't something they should do, it was such a delicious torture. I loved their banter, the stolen moments and the inevitable crash, the vulnerability, the crime documentaries and horror movies, the dinners and the mermaids and the pirate, I enjoyed every moment they spent together. Their spicy scenes were hot and heavy, I had the time of my life!! But the way they were there for each other, helped one another and how protective he was of her, that was my favourite part!!

One of the best parts, like always, is the family. I can't imagine watching your father fade, seeing the dementia steal away the man that was everything to you, it's simply heartbreaking, but they always supported each other. It was so sad, but Maeve was such a force, I admire her so much. I adored their bond, I can't wait for Hunter's and Walker's book next!!
Hallie's bond with her dad was beautiful too, they had their own grief, but he was incredibly supportive and always had her back. And Savi was iconic!! 

I have to say having mentions and seeing glimpes of my favourite people from the Silver Pines Ranch series made my week. That was so fun, I loved seeing them again and I hope we'll get more of them!!
Paisley really knows how to write a family you can't help but love and characters you will always root for!!

60% of the book was just about family issues and last 40% felt like a quick do-over of romance.

After Hallie ( FMC ) moved to small town looking for a fresh start, she mets Beau ( MMC ) on her first night here and they both have no idea who they are and are struck in an instant attraction towards each other. But when Beau discovers who she is actually, he thinks it's better to keep thing proffessional when she's the teacher to his daugthers. But how long would they deny this attraction between them when she is the only thing that calms him from the demons of his past?

Things i liked ↴

→ The whole family crew was extremely loving and supportive. At times i really loved their heart-to-heart convo. That's an other aspect that it was overly done🙂

→ And ngl but Beau was the best dad a girl can ask for. he was so caring for them. He kept them cloud 9. So very sweet to read that

Things that didn't work for me ↴

→ The story is going very slowwww. 40% of the story is just Beau and his family and sometimes Hal thinking how HOT he is.I don't mind slow burn, it's not exactly giving slow burn vibe either, it's just they are doing separate stuffs. I just want to get out of the grief of Beau and his father, I do appreciate the struggles they are doing for his father but i am bored reading it again and again yk?

→ And let me get this straight that I AM NO FAN OF BEAU. Being all rugged and cowboy is not the only trait for a good book bf for me. Beau is a coward, who just keeps running away from Hallie and her feelings. It's like Hallie didn't have her own life at all, she just kept worrying about girls and beau, I was like go out Have FUN!!! And the fact that he made it up to her with a fcking DINNER and BL*WJ*B at 65%? ughhh tell me i am not being dramatic. But he was very not at all caring towards Hallie. Even that girl needs care and pampering, she is doing so much for his daughters (and her nieces)😭 I want him to tell that she so helpful time to time, protect her from her ex! Not just treat her like a doormat ( even if that's what Hallie wants to be!!)
he calls his daughters as 'baby' and calls Hallie as Baby...ewww.(though this can be a complete ME problem)
I just kept longing for some moments where i will root for them as couple yk? Like they were meant to be something like that, BUT sadly NONE
So it's safe to say that THIS BOOK HAD NO SWOON

→ And those fighting parts of him? That topic was so serious for me and we don't discuss about it at all? it was wrapped in one chapter only? I was like what? that's it? If you read the book then you will get it what i am saying.

So overall i find this book based on complex family concerns and the romance was almost on secondary basis. And i was bored.
But I am excited for teh next book in this series ANYWAYS

No one is more surprised by this than me 😭 I was sooo excited for this ARC and absolutely adore everything Paisley has written so far, but for some reason, this one just couldn’t hook me.

It had ALL my usual favourite things: a ridiculously HOT single daddy cowboy, found family, and some good ol’ sadness. But alas, even Beau Black himself wasn’t enough to make me want to keep reading 🥲🤠

Sometimes it’s just not your book and I’m genuinely sad this one wasn’t it for me.

🐄Holy cow, Paisley Hope does it again! “Cowboy Beau is the epitome of rugged alpha.” ❤️

A beautiful small-town contemporary romance that completely blew me away. From the very beginning, my emotions were through the wringer, starting with tears as my heart breaks for Beau. Paisley Hope beautifully writes the raw, realistic weight of the world on Beau’s shoulders.

Beau is stretched to his absolute limits. Following the heartbreaking loss of the mother of his children, he must also process his father’s devastating medical diagnosis while enduring the brutal physical demands of a working ranch. Despite the immense weight on his shoulders, he acts as the sole provider, tirelessly working the fields and pouring his remaining energy into raising his two young daughters.

Hallie brings the perfect blend of light into Beau's heavy world, mashing beautifully with both him and his family. Navigating their developing relationship is a joy to read, especially with a supportive family who is completely all-in on them before the couple even realizes they are together. A standout element is the clever use of character nicknames—Hallie as "Star" and Beau as "Fight Club"—which make complete and perfect sense once you uncover their layers.

To top it all off, the epilogue serves as a beautiful bonus read, offering a heartwarming look at how their lives continued after the main story, adding a rich, satisfying final touch to an unforgettable family dynamic.

This was my first book by Paisley Hope, and I’m quite impressed. It was pretty deep at times, which I honestly loved!

I thought Beau was such a great person. I loved how he did everything he possibly could for his girls, and I really respected the way he handled some of the more emotional parts of his life involving his daughters’ mother. Beau and Hallie’s chemistry had me hooked! I loved the tension between them, and there were definitely a few moments that had my jaw on the floor.

I also enjoyed that this book took its time. Beau and Hallie knew and interacted with each other for months, which made the progression of their relationship feel genuine and understandable. Nothing about their connection felt rushed.

I was really touched by Beau’s struggles with his dad’s dementia. Having dealt with that myself, I understood many of his emotions. I felt like his dad was treated with so much love and respect throughout the story. It was very touching to see how much he meant to his family.

And I’ll just say this about the ending… don’t play with Beau or his woman!

I was pleasantly surprised by this book and would give it 4 stars. Hallie and Beau needed each other in their lives and were so good to each other and for each other. Outside of strongly disliking two side characters, I loved how positive this book was: no toxic relationships, no third act breakup, slow build of trust, great positivity and support. Really enjoyed this story and the characters. I can't wait for Walker and Hunter's stories!

I really enjoyed this one. The dynamic of Nina having passed away and Hallie being here sister and aunt to her two kids, but also Beau's love interest (dad to those two kids) was an interesting one. But the relationship between Beau and Nina was not what it appeared to be. I loved getting to know the Black family in this book, especially after we've had a peak at some of these characters in the Silver Pines Ranch series. And Paisley, as always, has done a fantastic job of setting us up for the next book in the series. I'm super keen to continue this series, see which brother we're going to get next (I have my suspicions). I do enjoy her epilogue's which give us a looksie in the couples life 7, 10, 12, 15 years down the line, and she does it very cleverly so as not to give too much away later on in the series, just enough to have us wanting more. I had a really good time with this one, keep em coming Paisley.

I freely admit that I am one who covets a really strong male leading character in my romance novels. Thankfully, this author knows how to give us all of the feels.

I am a sucker for a really good cowboy, small-town romance, and main character Beau is perfect in so many ways.

Not only is he hot and definitely swoon-worthy, but he is also sweet, kind, and so loving. The author nails it on the single Dad level. The girls are always number one and a main focus in the book.

But we also get all of the other pressure and responsibilities that he has with his family ranch.

Then he meets a hot stranger in a dive bar, and the fireworks are definitely there. I love that she is kind and has such a big heart, even though others have treated her poorly.

When circumstances bring them together, the slow burn is definitely a slow-burn romance. The fire and the heat are simmering. When truths are finally revealed, that’s when your heart can finally stop beating so hard.

There are a lot of family dynamics that take center stage sometimes. Plus, there were certain parts that I felt were kind of repetitive, and I wanted that conversation between them to happen so that we could move forward with the actual togetherness and get more of that.

But Wanted is a beautiful story of finding the perfect fit for your life, your children’s lives, and your family. So much love for this story. Steamy, sexy, and sweet. Beau is a dreamboat! Cannot wait for book 2.

Oh the forbidden. The guilt, eating them alive.
The yearning. The tension.

Her estranged sister and Beau made the cutest little girls!
Hallie returns home. Becomes teacher and nanny.

There’s some morally grey action.
There’s her ex drama.
There’s an age gap.

But there’s also some deep grief stuff happening here that will want to break your heart.
Found family ish vibes. But more strong ranch family vibes.

This book held on to my heart, and would not let go. But I'm okay with that. My top book of 2026 so far.
Is it a single dad romance? Yes. Is Beau Black the perfect hero? Don’t even get me started. But it’s also SO MUCH MORE.

I want to scream at everyone to read this. And I sort of have. Sorry not sorry.

"In my girls, I found myself."
Beau is a single dad raising his (so very cute!) girls after their mom passed away. They’re his priority and his whole world, right along with his family and his ranch, which takes up a lot of his time. There’s no room for anything or anyone else.
Until he meets a stranger at a dive bar.

"She’s a June afternoon I haven’t earned, and I’m spilled coffee, old leather, and the restless hum of a ranch that never stops complaining."
Hallie just got to town, and maybe she could have gone to a nicer bar, but there’s this rugged cowboy sitting there, and they start talking. He’s big and broad and inked, and he makes her feel comfortable. There’s a whole lot of attraction between them, and they kiss. It’s the kiss to end all others… until they get interrupted.

"He was my sister’s before she died, yet all I could think was if I could dream up a man, a father for my future children, I’d want one like Beau."
They never exchanged names, so there’s no way Beau could have known she’s his daughters’ new kindergarten teacher—and his late ex’s sister. But even that does nothing to stop the want between them.

"My heart beats faster with every passing second that neither of us looks away. He’s devastating."
Beau’s father is ill, and it’s all-hands-on-deck for the rest of the family to try and keep up with everything at the ranch. They need help when it comes to caring for the girls, and who would be better for the job than Hallie, their aunt?
But when she moves into his house and when you see how perfectly she fits in with the three of them, with their routine, with… everything, really, you know Beau and Hallie’s story is nowhere near done.

ME Are you asking me on a date, Fight Club?
BEAU All due respect, Hallie, I wasn’t asking.
Hallie is incredible with the girls, fits right in with his family, and she gives him shit just as much as everyone else does. It’s like she was meant to be part of it.
I loved their banter, I loved the way they talked to each other, I loved their movie nights (Hallie and I are kindred spirits when it comes to horror and ghost shows, yay!).
I loved… just them.

"I’d complicate the fuck out of everything just to taste you. One. More. Time."
Now, this is complicated. Hallie doesn’t want to feel like she’s butting in on her late sister’s family, but she doesn’t really know the whole story. And, to be honest, I don’t think anything could keep these two apart. Not when their connection is this perfect.

ME We can still be friends with your lips wrapped around my cock, Hallie.
ME I’m happy to help you balance both.
STAR It’s true what they say then.

STAR Ranchers really are great multitaskers.
Every single moment of them together and with the girls is beautiful and heartwarming and everything I needed. And if you’re wondering if it’s hot when they finally go there, I have a question for you: have you read Paisley’s books? Enough said.

"Thank you so fuckin’ much for just being you."
The ranch backdrop made me want to pack up and live there. Their family and what they’re going through, as well as his father’s illness, brought tears to my eyes and reminded me a lot of something I went through. It made each and every one of these characters real to me, and I couldn’t ask for anything better.

"Let’s remind each other every day. And never take this for granted. It’s you and me, forever now."
It also felt like this book taught me a few things. That sometimes the right person does find you. That you shouldn’t take things for granted. That the right person will love you, every single part of you—even the ones you may feel are unlovable because you’re a mess or too much.
Because to be wanted like that? That’s the one thing that makes it all worthwhile.

A cowboy romance with forbidden feelings, plenty of tension and a single dad who made it very difficult not to fall for him!

I had such a good time with Beau and Hallie. Their first encounter had me intrigued, but it was watching them slowly get closer, despite knowing they probably shouldn’t, that made their relationship so enjoyable. The banter, little stolen moments and all that unspoken attraction kept me invested throughout.

Beau was such a fantastic MMC. He’s a devoted father, works incredibly hard and carries so much responsibility without ever wanting to ask for help. Seeing Hallie become someone he could lean on was lovely. She brought so much warmth into his life, and her relationship with the girls was just as special. I also adored how comfortable they became with each other, especially all the teasing and those wonderfully protective moments. Their chemistry was definitely a highlight!

The family side of the story made this even more enjoyable. Beau’s father’s dementia brought some genuinely emotional moments, and I appreciated how the Black family always came together to support one another. Hallie’s relationship with her dad was lovely too, and getting little glimpses of the Silver Pines gang was such a fun surprise!

I’m already attached to this family, and this was a brilliant start to a new series.

Beau is shocked to discover Hallie is his daughters’ new teacher and the woman he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about since that kiss. To make things even more complicated, Hallie is the twins’ aunt. Their mum was Hallie’s sister, although the two were never close.

When Beau’s dad’s health declines and his mum needs help, he asks Hallie to move in and help with the twins. It sounds like they’re asking for the best kind of trouble.

I have found my new Book Boyfriend of the Year… Beau Black. Holy moly, this man is EVERYTHING! A filthy mouthed cowboy with a dark side? What’s not to love?

This story had it all. I honestly think it beats Riding the High in the spice stakes for me! And trust me when I say this book is SPICY.…. I genuinely needed to take a breather and sit in front of my fan.

Beau finally meets his match in Hallie, and I absolutely loved them together. Every glance, every little touch, every subtle thing he does to make her happy had me completely hooked. Someone get me a one way ticket to Grosvenor Ranch, please.

Paisley, you’ve absolutely outdone yourself! I feel so lucky to have had the chance to read this before its November release.

You are all in for one incredible ride.
And can we talk about seeing the Silver Pines gang again? It felt like catching up with old friends, and I loved every second of it!

Paisley Hope's "Wanted" is the first book in her new cowboy romance series. The Black brothers own Grosvenor Ranch. Beau Black (MMC) is the oldest son and has two young daughters, Piper and Sadie, to care for, but he's ready to take over the family's land, where he's been working for decades. His father has recently had to enter a care home because of his increasingly bad dementia diagnosis. Beau is also still dealing with the fallout from harboring the secret that his daughters' mother, Nina, was going to leave them all and turn over full custody to him, but she died on the way to the airport. He wasn't looking for love, until one day at a local dive bar, he met and made out with Hallie Lockhart (FMC) on an impulse before she disappeared on him. It turns out, Hallie is not only Piper and Sadie's new and first teacher, but she's also Nina's sister. I really enjoyed this book. There is a lot of drama, a lot of intrigue, and a lot of moving parts and characters, but I think Paisley Hope balances everything well and captivates her audience while doing so. I loved the chemistry between Beau and Hallie. Beau is a gruff, grumpy, tattooed rancher who loves his daughters fiercely and would do anything for them and would do anything to protect them. He's loyal to a fault, a natural caretaker, but has never really been taken care of himself. He acts like he doesn't need help with anything. He is certain that no one has ever loved him for who he is in his entire life. Enter Hallie, the effervescent, warm, kind teacher who just wants a fresh start in her small hometown after a bad breakup but has no idea that one quick drink in a bar would change her entire life. Despite their makeout session at the beginning of the story, this is a slow-burning romance, one I dug every single step of the way. The way their relationship unfolds feels authentic and natural and flows easily throughout the story. I love how they got to know one another throughout the story, how they each wiggled their way into each other's lives effortlessly, like it was meant to be. He brings her stability and protection and care (and two little girls she has fallen in love with), and she brings him light and happiness and affection. This book has a bit of a miscommunication that honestly didn't bug me at all because it's about Nina's involvement with her daughters and how she was going to leave Beau, as well as the reasons Beau chose to keep her "secret." I also loved the family aspect of this story, how the Black family embraced not only Hallie, but her father, too. The family's tight-knit bonds were well explored and well-written, and I felt so bad about Beau's father and his worsening dementia diagnosis. All in all, I had a great time reading this book.

It was the fighting for his life not to fall for his dead wife's sister that put this book on your TBR right? If you said yes then we should be friends. Because let's face it, we love when things are slighted forbidden and off limits. But what if I could sweeten the deal and tell you that his dead wife's sister is also subbing in his nanny all summer to help and also staying under the same roof. Yeah, I know, it's the perfect forced proximity goodness. Because when I tell you this one is angst and tension filled. The way these two fight with tooth and nail to stay away from one another is so good!

I truly loved Hallie and Beau. Beau is very much giving eldest daughter. He doesn't often ask for help and he is really trying to keep his family together while his father is dying, all while raising twin daughters and keeping his family's cattle ranch afloat. And dare I say I saw a lot of myself in Beau. Which is weird bc I rarely feel like I can relate to an MMC. But I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that I am the eldest daughter and my mother died from Lewy body dementia in 2023, which is the exact disease that Beau's father is also dying from. Paisley did such an amazing job and accurately portraying this rapidly progressing dementia. It plays a huge role in this story, so if a dying or sick parent is a trigger for you, please go into this one with caution. I know for me, t's always nice to read stories that are relatable to my life experiences. It always heals a party of me I didn't know I still need healing.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book, as always. It's a perfect start to this new series and I can NOT wait for the Black brother book!

Another book I was really looking forward to but was disappointed with. I felt like the romance took a backseat to Beau's family issues. If I had known what was going on with his father, I probably wouldn't have requested this arc. Too close to home for me right now. (I reread the synopsis and it's not mentioned. )

As far as romances go, this is extremely slow burn. I really didn't get too many swoony vibes between them. A little more relationship development between Hallie and Beau was definitely needed.

Also, the plot was a little lacking. At times, I was wondering where the story was going.

It’s humanly impossible to go wrong with a cowboy romance written by Paisley Hope, and, of course, Wanted is no exception.

One of the things I appreciate most in a book is when the story extends beyond the relationship between the main characters. I love having a strong sense of family and the world surrounding the couple, and Wanted delivers precisely that. .

Reading Wanted feels like discovering what all-consuming love looks like. The romance is a deliciously slow burn, unfolding gradually enough to make you ache for every little moment between them, and leave you wishing for more.

The book also touches on some themes that may feel triggering for some readers, so keep that in mind going in.

That said, for me, it was absolutely worth it.

🔹Plot: Beau Black had so many on his hands, being a single dad of two beautiful girls and the one who was in charge with everything that was happening at the Grosvenor Ranch. After the mother of his children passed away, he closed the door on having someone to love. But trying to survive to all those responsibilities forced him to be part of some dark and dangerous things. Beau never saw Hallie Lockhart coming, his late wife's estranged sister, and the one who would soon be in his proximity quite often, because she offered to help with his daughters. What they didn't plan was for their feelings to become stronger with each day passing and to question themselves if it was worth to fight for what it was blossoming in their hearts, even if their situation wasn't that conventional.

🔹Impressions: Everything about this story it was suuper sweet! I had the bestest time with that slow burn between Beau and Hallie and that feeling which followed them, of trying to have something forbidden, because she was his wife's step sister. I adooored that cute bound which was created between Hallie and the twins, these two having such a strong personality even from that fragile age. Of course that it was so much fun to follow the relationship between Beau and his brothers, which was super delicious because of their continuous bickering. I was quite surprised by the secret Beau was hiding, knowing that something was happening with him, but I couldn't exactly figure out what was that thing.

I'm so happy that I got the chance to read this book in advance, thanks to Paisley's amazing team and Random House UK, who accepted my request on Netgalley. I fell in love with this book and I'm now super excited about the next book from this series!!😍😍

This whole book revolves around family and being there for each other and honestly I cried on more than one occasion. Hell, I'm still crying while writing this review. But I promise it's not a sad book, it just got me.

Hallie and Beau are so amazing with the kids, each other and just their life? They have such a hard time but still find time to be there for other people. And ofc for each other.

It starts of with instalust but honestly this was a slooooow burn y'all. I loved every second of it.

Wanted is an emotional family saga with a Kentucky ranch as the backdrop to a semi-forbidden romance between a single dad, and his late girlfriend’s sister.

The romance took a backseat to a plethora of parental illnesses and the legacy of ranching life, but was still a prevalent part of the book.

Beau is a very grounded and decent MMC, whose love for his daughters is at the heart of everything he does. I liked and appreciated his strong moral code and core values of family, hard work and dedication to his family’s legacy.

Hallie is a very kind and thoughtful FMC, and I appreciated the way her steady presence and commitment to stability affected her nieces lives,by her simply being a permanent fixture.

The supporting characters are all interesting in their own right ,and I’m certain we will see more of this family of cowboys in the future.
I cannot say that I felt an overwhelming amount of chemistry between the main characters of this book. I wish we had less slow burn and more true development before we were thrown into a physical relationship between the two.
Perhaps instances where everything wasn’t about the kids,but about their attraction and connection as individuals.

The father’s diagnosis and the sheer amount of stress involved in his care was quite daunting and painful for me,as someone who has recently dealt with these same issues. That being said, I do appreciate the disease of dementia and Alzheimer’s being addressed, and having a true depiction of what that entails for family members whose loved ones are no longer themselves may prove cathartic for some readers.

Paisley Hope really said "let's make Beau Black the most broody, responsible, twin-daddy dream of a man" and honestly? I'm not mad about it. The forbidden aunt/sister-in-law tension had me KICKING my feet the entire time. Hallie waltzing into his dusty, rule-bound world like a breath of fresh air was everything. The slow burn from "we absolutely should not" to "we absolutely cannot stop" is exactly the kind of messy, heart-tugging chaos I read this genre for. Watching her win over the twins while simultaneously dismantling every wall Beau built around his heart was so satisfying.

I stayed up WAY too late flipping pages because I could not put this down. Paisley Hope has this magic touch where she makes you fall in love right alongside the characters; the ranch setting felt so real I could practically smell the hay, and the found-family vibes with the Black brothers already have me BEGGING for the next book in this series.

If you love forbidden romance, single-dad heroes, small-town cowboy settings, and getting absolutely gutted by feelings before being put back together with a perfect HEA; this is it. This is the one. 10/10 would recommend, need book two immediately.🤠❤️‍🔥

He forms an unexpected connection with Hallie, who is new to town and happens to be both the aunt and schoolteacher of his two daughters. But is their growing attraction worth reopening old wounds?

There was a lot packed into this story, from family drama and complicated relationships to the development of a beautiful friendship and, eventually, romance. I actually really enjoyed the slow burn, especially because I listened to the audiobook. The narration was fantastic and brought the explosive chemistry between Beau and Hallie to life!

OMJii!! Beau is for the girlies who love a single dad cowboy!! It just melted my heart right off of my chest every time this man was in dad mode. He was such a family man. I loved that despite there being a forbidden line between Beau and Hallie, they couldn't have stopped it even if they wanted too. Fate brought them together! She loved every part of him, the dark and the light. I might've blushed a few times but I was swooning for most of it. It was the kind of love that wasn't just body and heart but soul too.

I love all things Paisley Hope, and Wanted did not disappoint!

Beau Black is a single dad raising four-year-old twins while carrying the weight of his family’s ranch, legacy, and a whole lot of grief. He’s determined to keep his heart closed—until Hallie Lockhart, his late ex’s younger sister, arrives and offers to help for the summer. She’s his girls’ aunt and completely off-limits, but their growing friendship and undeniable chemistry make staying away a whole lot harder.

Omgggg, did my heart hurt for Beau! It felt like the kicks just kept coming, and that man never caught a break!

Watching Hallie bring some light into his world made my heart so happy. She was the perfect fit for Beau and his girls, and I loved seeing how all their relationships grew.

The family moments, the forbidden romance, and a cowboy learning to open his heart again had me hooked. Plus, adding the Silver Pines crew to the mix? I was a happy girl!!

This was so good!! I went in blind and let me tell you, those first few chapters were a whirlwind and I’m so glad I knew nothing going in. So much fun to uncover why their romance is so forbidden and everything that was working against Beau & Hallie!

Beau and Hallie were perfect for each other and that slow burn was worth the wait!! I always love Paisley's spice but a slow burn from her was exactly what I needed. They were so hot when they finally got there but I honestly was just more focused on their connection and strength as “friends” haha So much more to them than physical attraction I loved them both individually and together.

I adored Beau’s twins and Hallie’s relationship with them. The whole Black family just felt like home and one of my fave characters was definitely Mae!! We all need a woman like that in our lives. My heart broke for their family so much but I loved how strong they were and I can’t wait to learn more about the other brothers. Definitely have some theories forming!!

This is one to mark your calendars for when it releases on November 3rd! A fave of mine from Paisley for sure!

I’m going to be real honest, I was not expecting this. I love the way Paisley writes. She really captures everything, the family, the friend group, the heart ache. It’s not just the main characters, she makes everyone feel important. I was not expecting to cry so much. But also, check your trigger warnings, dementia is a bitch and Paisley did an incredible job with everything surrounding dementia and the Black family.

First, Maeve. The magical matriarchy of the family. She is amazing, loving, strong and watching her husband wither away with dementia. My heart.

The Black brothers. Going through their own things. We really get a taste of the closeness of the family and love the love they have for each other.

Hallie’s friends. I love the friend group. There and super supportive.

Getting to see the cameo’s from Silver Pines. Loved how connected it is in Paisley’s world. And getting to check on some of my favorites. Jo included.

Beau and Hallie. They might be my new favorite. I’m having a hard time writing this review, because I don’t want to spoil anything, but they are perfect. And I love them. And Beau is ✨chef’s kiss✨

A beautiful story for a beautiful family.
When Paisley hinted in her last book that the Black family might get a series I was hopeful I’d love them as much as the Ashby’s and I absolutely do- I can’t wait for more from Grosvenor Black Cattle Ranch!

Hallie and Beau’s love story may start unconventionally and a little messy, but it’s pure and good, and everything a happily ever after should be. Beau is an incredible father to his twin girls, and Hallie’s relationship with them right from their first meeting was beautiful.

There is a deep sadness to the Black family’s situation during this book which is all too familiar to many of us, and Paisley writes this with such empathy and respect. It was hard to read but so very real, and the way the family came together, along with the community’s support was so lovely.

I think Beau Black might be a late contender for many readers 2026 book boyfriend!

I always love the start of a new series and knew I was going to love this. A single dad, age gap and grumpy/sunshine. Some of my favorite tropes.
Beau only knows love from his family and to give it to his twin girls, Sadie and Piper, the loves of his life.
He is determined to be the best dad and will do anything for it, even if some decisions make him not so nice.
Beau has been through a lot, but he never gives up. When Hallie came to town it was love at first sight, but turned out to be a forbidden love.
Hallie has always been there for her family and friends and has gotten taken advantage of. She truly shows her love through acts of kindness. I love that she is fierce and sticks up for herself. And her loving scary movies is a plus!!
I loved how close the family is and they have each others backs. They don’t back down and love tremendously.
Paisley shows heart ache in this book and makes you think about your own family and what can happen in such little time.
I’m so excited to see what happens in the next book!!
