A possessive dragon king, a curvy Black heroine, fated mates, obsession, and enough heat to set Willow Creek on fire.
Remy
I didn't move to Willow Creek looking for love. I came here to escape. Escape the family that called me the ugly Black girl. Escape the people who made me feel like I'd never be enough.
Now I'm working double shifts as a nursing assistant, struggling to pay rent, and trying to survive one day at a time. Then one night at EMBER changes everything.
One look from a powerful stranger makes me feel seen for the first time in my life.
The problem?
He's not a man.
He's a dragon.
And he says I'm his.
Titus
For centuries, I've ruled the Furnace District.
Feared. Respected. Untouchable.
Then I scent my mate. One curvy human woman with fire in her soul and no idea who, or what—I am. My dragon wants to claim her.
Protect her.
Keep her.
But Remy isn't impressed by power, money, or fear. And if I want my mate, I'll have to earn her. Because in Willow Creek, dragons may rule the shadows...But love can bring even a Flame King to his knees.
Claimed by the Dragon is the first book in the Dragons of Willow Creek where the Dragons are hotter than fire.
If dragons are in the scene, my ass is there too. And while this book definitely kept me locked in because, you know… dragons, I needed a lot more from everything happening around the romance. The world building and backstory were pretty much nonexistent, and that secondary storyline with the drama, the possible war, and the people watching them needed WAY more development. I kept feeling like there was something bigger happening in the background, but we never spent enough time with it for me to actually care or understand the stakes. I expected the instalove because… mates. That comes with the territory. But I still wanted more pages and more actual time with the couple on page. Because baby, if this wasn’t a fated mates paranormal romance, I would NOT have believed they were in love. The connection needed more room to breathe. Overall, it was too fast paced without enough direction or depth for me. I was entertained, but I wanted more world, more story, more romance—just more. That being said… there are dragons, so naturally I’m on to the next book. 😂
This was my first time reading a book from this author. I really enjoyed the story it did a great job of laying the foundation for what the book was about and where the conflict started. I gave it 4 stars because it was over to fast lol. I want to know what happened with Titus & Remy their first year together. I will read the rest of the series and I hope the books are longer.
This one was ancient, dark, and atmospheric in the beginning with the dragons 🐉! Norah Rose opens up on a new world of shifters and a new romance! I’m for it and can’t wait to read part two!
It’s extremely short, and it is supposed to be this way. But from the last chapter to the epilogue it seems like I am missing something. Now the book is a really good read. So I guess I should read the next book to see how it goes
