Peyton's books always provide interesting characters that keep me turning the page. These two dance around each other until Frankie makes her move and gets a date with Trent. They are two mature individuals that feel a connection and know what they want from one another. Is it insta-lust and love pretty quickly—yes, which can mirror real life. When you know, you know.
When trouble comes to Frankie's doors, Trent promises to be the only weapon she needs to eliminate said problem. Y'all messed with the wrong one now, or is it the right one, y'all know exactly what i mean. Highly Recommended: Read This Book!

This was an easy quick read. I’m not usually a fan of the insta-love trope but the author made it work for me. I enjoyed the mystery that was put into the storyline.
Trent was the ex-military hero roaming around to find his place in this world and he ended up finding it with Frankie who was thwarting off a corrupt businessman who was trying to buy her diner thru intimidation when she wouldn’t sell. Trent being the protector that he is, made Frankie’s situation disappear.
I enjoyed the palate cleanse that this book provided.

Another solid SCR installment by Peyton! I still think about Draven and Cashea to this day and have read that one twice! I loved this one because of the shy element of this big and strong former ranger turned cowboy. I loved that he was too shy to approach her in a romantic way but at the same time couldn’t stay away until they finally gave in. The men in these series really make me want a quite country guy that is good with his hands 😉

I love me some good old fashioned cowboy romance and this one hit so good. I love how she save him and he save her too. I love that he was always going to protect her from anything. I love that he found a place to called home and he got the women of his dreams too.
