Michele Mills lives in California and leads a life of quiet, G rated desperation with her husband and two sons. In an attempt at a fulfilling, R rated inner life that does not include Disney movies and Nickelodeon; Michele reads and writes filthy romance and, well...filthy romance. And she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Mara comes to the mining planet Timbur wanting nothing more than a good paycheck and a quiet fresh start — despite being seven weeks pregnant and hiding it. But her plan falls apart when Cayzor (Scar), the terrifying, scarred Xylan everyone fears, starts showing up everywhere she goes, sensing every discomfort and watching her like she matters. He doesn’t care that she’s carrying another man’s baby, and soon he’s the one supporting her through the pregnancy. At the same time, Mara is pulled into Scar’s long‑running hunt for his parents’ killer — a mystery that heats up the moment she arrives. She came for work, but she might be the key to ending a war.
This finale was full of emotions and feelings as Mara tried to manage her pregnancy, her growing connection with Scar, and the rising tension among the Fever brothers as the truth about their parents’ killer finally came to light. I loved the contrast between the sweet moments, where Scar cared for Mara despite their incompatibility and the fact she carried another man’s child, and the dramatic moments, when the hunt for the murderer intensified and everything shifted for them all. The blend of tenderness, danger, and long‑awaited answers made this a satisfying ending to the series. It was wonderful to finally see the mystery resolved. This was an MF story with mature content.
I've been reading this series from book one, and I have loved reading about how the Fever brothers all find their human mates, and working on clearing their families name and finding out who killed their parents and why. Mara had it tough, being pregnant by her former boyfriend, who had been cheating on her with her own cousin. Then finally dumped by him so he could marry that snake. Scar has been polite and supportive while she does her job, but finding out disturbing things about her brother. This is heartbreaking, since he is all the family she has. Scar is so at ease with Mara, and after scanning that she's not his mate, but knows she's pregnant, he decides to be a protective friend. He even helps her after her baby is born. Thank goodness after that, her scent changes and he claims her . I was so excited for them, and the whole family. They get their answers and their oldest brother will soon be allowed to come back home to introduce his wife and son to his family. Beautiful ending of this series. Trish. A
Battle Scarred by Michele Mills is the eighth and final book in th Fever Brothers series, and what a doozy it was!
Scar, Cayzor, is driven to find out, finally, what actually happened to his parents. He's focused, hard, and doesn't quite know what to do with the human engineer that's shown up, and somehow seems to see things he couldn't before, and which help him with his quest.
Mara is so lovely. She's caring, hardworking, and wants to do the best she can, do her job right, and can't help but be smitten with the growly miner that keeps showing up everywhere and all the time.
This was such a beautiful story full of familiar faces, and it was one heck of a rollercoaster ride as we find out what's been happening, why it was happening, and what it means. It's got some light angst and drama, action, and continues to show the beauty of friendship and family and love.
Thoroughly enjoyed this conclusion to the Fever Brothers, and am excited for what comes next in this world!
I enjoyed every book in the series, this one was one of the best. If you’d enjoy a story that includes, espionage, murders, framed family scapegoats, a sweet man doting on an adoring woman, yearning, HEA to wrap up their individual story as well as a tying up the plot overarching the entire series. All of the books are well paced, keep you engaged, are well rounded, and have satisfying endings. I’d definitely recommend this fun series and I will absolutely be reading more from this world when Michele Mills delves more into Timbur and Chronos.
M/F Pregnant when she meets MMC Open door romance not inundated, less spicy than previous book books. Found Family Quick read HEA

So I messed up and read the last book in the series first but i don’t care cause it was awesome! Now I’ve got 7 books to go read and that’s exciting instead of an ending I get a begining of sorts! I loved the uniqueness of this series aliens are my favorite genre and I love finding ones that really stand out! Crayzon and Mira really showed the slow burn trope a piece of them but it was a great way to keep the anticipation!
I can't believe this series has finished it really hurts my heart, not knowing what goes on with the brothers there, kids and wives. I love that author her pen/keyboard is mighty. I felt I loved the beginning but the end of this book was wishy washy first she's pregnant then the baby is here it's like lots of chapters are missing and there was a missed opportunity with the oldest brother and his ban an no epilogue.
Oh my gods, I’ve LOVED this entire series! Why does it have to end? I have so many questions! Seriously, READ THIS WHOLE SERIES! Very well written and plotted, pulls together throughout the series, relatable characters (even though some of them are 7 feet tall with fangs), and great sex scenes that are graphic without being disturbing. I’m truly a Michele Mills fan! More please!
What an incredible, incandescent finale to the Fever Brothers series! Couldn’t love any characters more and the closure over their parents and the mystery of the mines was so satisfying. Mara comes to audit the mining systems and instead finds a new life with Cayzor (Scar). Of course there is found family, intrigue, and the mating ritual - makes you wish that a some cousins can be found somewhere, somehow(hint, hint 😁).
Wonderful book and a great ending to the series. I only wish it could continue as I feel invested in this family. The underlying mystery woven through nine stories has kept me coming back. I love the brothers protective nature and devotion to their brides. The world that was built by Michele Mills is a place I'd like to live. If only, I could find a fever brother of my very own. Swoon....
I loved all the suspense and mystery in this one and talk about slow burn! The characters make you feel like they are your family and you root for them the whole way through. There is definitely some smexy scenes but it doesn't take over the story, it's mostly at the end if that's not your thing. If it is your thing there is still enough to satisfy. I am so sad that this was the last fever brother story. This is seriously a series that is a must read. Seriously, read it.
This was so good!! I just loved the main characters. They worked so well together and had their stuff together. It was a satisfying ending to an awesome series. Sounds like there might be a spin-off series! I hope there will be more Xylans and humans!!
Michele Mills saved the best for last! I have loved all of the Fever Brothers but Scarred is my favorite! I never thought that Scar would be my favorite brother but he is. I also adore Mara. It was so good to have the answers to the mystery of who killed their parents and why! What a great ending to one of my favorite series!
This wrapped up a mystery spread over 9 books. It was done with intrigue and very appropriate tying off. Mara is an excellent choice for Scar. I feel that Michele Mills has displayed a new, higher level of writing skill with this book.
We finally get to see the entity of the corruption that lead the the Fever Brothers' parents murder and more in this thrilling read where Scar !sets his match in systemd.engineer Mara even if she appears to not be his mate, Scar falls hard.
Almost sad to have this part of Michele Mills universe end, but it is good. Mara is smart and nerdy. Scar is her match in every way. Some surprises and the ending is satisfying.
I have loved these books so much. Each s different yet drawn together with twists and turns along the way.. The characters are strong and determined and their mates are individuals that make up a tight knit family.
The Fever Brothers have finally found answers to the fate that fell upon their family. Thanks to the cooperation between Scar and Mara, the whole family found resolution. Looking forward to more stories spinning from this series.
Scar or Cayzon is finally thinking about a female and not his mission. Mara and her brother Andrew come to Timbur to check the system and find much more. Loved the whole series and so glad to have the mystery resolved. 💎 enjoy
Enjoyable conclusion to this entertaining series. I loved both main characters and enjoyed their HEA. The mystery was handled in satisfactory manner. I would like to see all brothers together…
