OHMYGODOGMYGAWD!!!! It’s finally time!! It’s starting! Annani and Kihann’s story is beginning and I am sooooo here for it.

You absolutely have to read these from book 1 (Dark Stranger the Dream) and yeah ok I know that’s intimidating as hell but I absolutely promise it is completely worth it. The books are short and you will absolutely destroy them. I’m actually jealous, I’d love to start them now with so many out and not have to wait every month on pins and needles. This one is mostly setting up and it’s still a book I couldn’t put down and read until 2 am to finish.

And if you’re current on the series… OMGOMGOMGOMG IT IS STARTING!!! WE ARE FINALLY HERE!!!

Thank you to IT Lucas for the ARC and the lovely job of beta reading you are a saint who sends me books weeks early!

I could not put this down. The characters are all ones I currently really like. The multiple plot threads are so compelling. I absolutely devoured this update.
I have loved the development of Dave and the individual guys that make up DAVE. I love Yaaf's personality and how he's really kind of leading the way for them in regards to romance and families. I loved all the "escape the island" crew and how Arrianna is leading them. The scene where they bow to her was so good. The best humbling moment for Navuhh ever. I love that we get to see more of the scientists. I'm excited to see the shock of when Mati transitions since no one is expecting it, including herself.

I loved the stuff with Ananni. I'm so excited to find out who the other warriors with Khiann were. I knew it was gonna end on a cliffhanger, and I wasn't wrong. It was perfect though. It will be interesting seeing Khiann deal with modern life, like the others have had to, but more so the Annani he fell in love with was like a teenager. She's 5 thousand years old now. How will this dynamic work for them. He used to be the experienced one but now she's the more experienced one. He was used to her taking charge before, but how will she handle him being so much younger than her. I'm excited to see what trials and how they work through them. I also hope it brings her closer with her other siblings.

Some Authors Can Reach Your Soul

A Series That Reaches Your Soul

The Children of the Gods series is one of those rare series that doesn’t just tell you a story—it makes you feel it.

I’ve read almost every book in the series, and I honestly don’t know how to explain the experience without saying that these books take you on an emotional journey that stays with you long after you put them down. They make you laugh, they make you hurt, and yes… they can absolutely make you cry.

The characters feel so real that their happiness becomes your happiness, their pain becomes your pain, and their struggles somehow find their way into your own heart. There are moments when you have to stop reading simply because what you’re feeling is so intense.

That, to me, is the mark of an extraordinary storyteller—not just being able to create a fascinating world, but being able to make the reader feel everything.

I’m almost caught up now, with only a couple of books left to be released, and honestly, I’m both excited and a little sad. I want to know what happens next, but I’m not ready for this journey to end.

If you’re looking for a series that will pull you completely into its world, make you care deeply about its characters, and take your emotions on a ride you won’t forget, I cannot recommend Children of the Gods enough.

These books don't just tell you a story. They make you feel it.

Thank you to the author for this gifted ARC!

I feel like we have been waiting so long for Annani to get her true love mate back, and the time has finally arrived! Though it has been difficult waiting for him to regenerate after so many years in stasis. But Annani never gives up, she keeps a vigil by his side, telling him stories of the past with the hope he can and will remember.
Meanwhile the enclosure women are settling into the village and homes and things they could never have dreamed of! New and beautiful clothes, shoes ect. They are all looking their finest when they take their 1st trip to see the 8! The sons and brothers that helped them escape the island! So much excitement for all of them, but for some more than others!
Navuh is finally moved to the dungeon apartment, and is not loving the fact that Ariana has taking over his care. On the way to the pool for his water therapy, Navuh has a totally shocking encounter that crushes his very short lived hope of gaining some little bit of control
This book is unputdownable! I can’t wait for the next one to come out!

Mehn, can you imagine losing your at the just gotten married.
And going five thousand years with only the words of a blind fortune teller that may meet again and have 2 more children.

Whew, Khiann is finally at the keep. If I were Annani, i'd be inconsolable. That woman showed too much grace because I would have kicked everyone out.

🙅🏾‍♀️Now, the way the clan is handling Dave, is exactly the way the world would handle the clan, should they be discovered. I find a highly hypocritical. Kian can be exhausting sometimes. I can't believe my Annani's going along with it.

💁🏾‍♀️I loved it how the women reacted. When they heard the Eight's story. The outrage is warrented!

This is book 110 in the series. I started reading during covid.

💁🏾‍♀️Sullha and Yaaf. The couple is learning to love and explore their feelings whilst navigating and protecting the feelings of his other 7 shared hive minds 🤭.

💁🏾‍♀️The 8 experiencing love for the 1st time when they believed it was lost to them... I love it here!

Two Beautiful Love Stories

Yaag and Sullha are creating their love story. It is complicated with seven additional consciousnesses as witnesses. The eight share one mind, but can Yaag carve out a space for himself to love Sullha? Or, will the eight always be present as Yaag's and Sullha's love grows?

Annani has finally found Khiann, her truelove mate, after five thousand years. Will he and the other four awaken? Assuming they all revive, in what condition will their minds be? Will they have their memories? Will Khiann remember Annani? Will their truelove bond be intact?

If you thought the Clan's rescue of Dave, the scientists, and the women and children from the breeders' enclosure was exciting - well, it isn't over. Sure, the pace is slower in this book, but the suspense is just as intense!

From book 1 and the prequels this series is AMAZING, if you haven’t already read them start know because this amazing story line has Annani / Khian and what she has waited over 5000 years to reconnect with him even it he doesn’t remember her , she will never know if it was from her bargain with the faith but she will never give up on her one true love. Dave runs into Navuh and as predicted he tries to compel them, with false hope Dave strings it out for a minute then totally squashed it, humbling Navuh. (Just a small spoiler). Can’t wait for the next two box in this series of her serial of these books.

Dark Destiny, Fates' Bargain #110

OMGOODNESS!!! As one of many diehard COTG readers, I have been waiting 2 years for this book!!! Thank you, Isabell, for finally giving me the ultimate reason for supporting this series! I love the writing, the characters and the many, many adventures you have taken me on over this journey. I say at the end of every book, I can't wait to read the next one. This one left me sobbing and elated at the same time. In my opinion, it doesn't have to end. I will continue to look for the next obstacle in the lives of these characters and twists and turns that keep me coming back! Thank you, thank you!

Annani finally found Khiann after 5,000 years. She will do anything to have him with her again. She is trying to keep it together while the healing process begins. Then there is Dave and the clan evaluating if they can be trusted. The scientists and Dave are at the keep while the rescued women are welcomed to the village. They are allowed to visit their relatives, which is emotional. While visiting some discoveries are made. The developing relationship with Yaaf and Sullha’s is very touching. While Khiann is still unconscious he has dreams that he may discover are from his past. And what an ending.

Finally!

No spoilers, but if you’ve been a fan of this series, a big moment is finally happening! If you’re looking for a good series, you must start this book at number one but they are fast reads, release quickly (thank you ❤️) and you’ll come to love all the characters whose stories continue from book to book as new fated mates are found within the gods, immortals and humans, plus a few more you don’t expect along the way. Love the crossover to Bonds of Wings and Fury, different worlds intersecting in ways you never imagined and more is on the horizon. Can’t wait to see the reunion unfold for goddess Annani.

Finally!

Annani is getting her story.  It has been a long time coming and I can't wait to see how this all plays out.  Annani has waited a long time for Khiann and I think this is going to be spectacular.

With regards to the eight, it will be interesting to see what happens with them.  How trust is formed between them and the clan and how they learn to love.

I can't wait to see what happens to those women who escaped the island and how their stories develop.

There is still so much left to tell.  I can't wait for the next book.

Spoilers - kinda: This one really hits you in the feels.

110 books in the making. We finally have some closure and it was beautiful. Yes I got a little weepy. Yard and Sullha’s story is so sweet.

I’m so glad that Khiann was rescued and I can’t wait to read the next book about his recovery journey. I thought it was dragged on a bit long in book 109 but I liked the speed at which things happened in this book.

I’m also super curious to see how this series ties in with the bonds of wings and fury. That series is becoming one of my favorites.

Well done Ms Lucas! Well done!

August is here, and the heat is TURNT UP!!

Yes, I can spell turned correctly. But wow - there is so much going on in this book the storyline is just expanding rapidly. The clan welcomes the former prisoners from Navuh’s island. Dave (8) is having both individual and collective thoughts and most are warm and gushy! Annani strikes a bargain with The Fates (seriously - this sounds like a bad idea) and SO MUCH MORE!
I can’t imagine not following this series until the end. But what I didn’t imagine is that it would get better and better!

This was another great book!!!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Now, I eagerly anticipate the release of the next book. Although the wait is quite long, it is undeniably worth it. I have read all 110 books and, occasionally, I revisit them to start anew. However, this particular book stands out as the best. The journey of reading Annani’s story and witnessing her efforts to fight back and reclaim her man is truly captivating and delightful. I know the next book will be about Khiann’s recovery, but I’m excited to see how Annani will handle him.

"First kiss, if done right, left an impression to last a lifetime, or in Annani's case, multiples of them. Five thousand years, give or take a few hundred."

This woman has waited over 5,000 years to see the love of her life again. This story teaches us that love never dies. It's heartwarming while also giving us a little adventure. Who doesn't love a good 💀 scheme.

A New Beginning

This is the first book in a trilogy where Annani finally gets her true love Khiann back. The Eight and the women in the enclosure that they rescued are safe with the clan as are the two scientists and their women. The Eight are showing more individualism and even a sense of humor. I am loving the growth of these characters - so different and so interesting. A great read that leaves you coming back for more.

at last he is back

I’ve read all 110 books most more than once , to recap as it’s taken years to get to this point, this one is one of my favourites, I love the 8/ Dave especially Yaaf they have overcome so much to become the caring yet strong people they are I hope future books carry on and bring them mates as they have with Yaaf and Sullha , of course the fact that Khiann is now entering the stories brings even more excitement as always I can’t wait for the next book

Toying with my emotions

Some books Lucas really advances the story and those books are usually her best ones. This one was pretty stagnant. In fact very little has happened in the last 9 books that couldn’t have been told in 2. She’s reaching the end of her tale and now is just stringing her readers along. I will likely read to the conclusion of this trilogy, then whether Lucas is done or not, I believe that I am.

Great book

I can't wait for the next chapter of this incredible saga. Every book is always better than the last. I.T. Lucas writes in a way that just brings u along with the story. Her writing style is the best I've ever read. Her books flow so fast and easily that I can read them at record speed. Love this series and the two-faced gods series as well. They will eventually interconnect.

Annani and Khiann are back together after 5000 years for Annani, we do not know if Khiann will even remember her and she makes a bargain with the fates on Khianns behalf. DAVE proves himself while also ingraining more worry in Kian and the other about how unpredictable they are. Truly was disappointed when the book ended. From the prequel to this book that would be 113 all together and the unfolding of the immortals lives just draws me in more. Great series.

Annani's Truelove Mate

Dark Destiny: The Fates' Bargain is book 110 of I.T. Lucas's The Children of the Gods series. Annani's clan has rescude the 5 chest from the Doomer's island. The hard part now is the waiting. Will all of the rescued revive? Will they have any memories? This book will have you reading it from start to finish in one go to get those answers. Now our wait for the rest of the story begins.

Cliffhanger...

I've read the entire series and am thrilled to see Annani's wait is coming to an end. I am eager to keep reading and can't wait for the next book in the series!!! If you are me to this series.... don't start here. Start with the Dark Origins duology... the beginning of Annani's love story (&her sister's). Reading the series in chronological order is by far the best approach. 110 books later, you won't want it to end either!

SQUEEEE!!!

He's Awakening!! At long last The Clan's Mother is close to finally ending her heartbreak!!
Yaaf and Sullah are very adorable in the relationship that is building fast between them.
Areanna is becoming a stronger being and less of her mate's doormat.
And the way the eight dealt with Nuvah was priceless!!
Once again our authoress has given us a master's class in great writing and left us with a beautiful cliffhanger.

Exciting

It feels like we have been waiting a very long time for Annani to reconnect with Khiann. I at first thought it would be through reincarnation but I prefer this turn of events much more.
The encounter between Dave and Navuh was delightful….retribution. I still don’t understand how Arianna could take any offense. Her mate is terrible to everyone but her. Of course his victims will feel anger towards him.
I am looking forward to the next book

Holy moly!!! Wow what a book, an absolute page turner

Feels like the excitement of books 1, 2 & 3, absolutely epic, every aspect is my new favourite! Highs and lows and such heart wrenching writing, Tomeks reaction to his own room will stay with me for some considerable time and that ending, oh my days, counting the minutes for the next installment.

The wait is over

The clan retrieved the chest that contain Khiann and his guards with the help of Dave.
Will they be able to be revived ?
Dave , the scientists , Mattie , Anita and the women from the enclosure are finally free from the island.
This book was everything I have been waiting for . What a fantastic read.

Best series ever

I live to read this series. It is an absolute favorite. Although I feel so impatient right now and really want this Khiann thing to happen! I also cant wait for Dave to pass the test and be apart of everyday life. Goodness the wait for the next book is always agonizing. I keep calendar reminders in my phone so I can get back to them when they are released!

This has by far been a favorite. Loved reading and rereading it, I cried reading some parts and I’m so happy for Annani is getting her time to shine. The Dave characters really grew on me and I can’t wait to see more and what happens next. The wait for the next book is going to be so hard!
