Author Motivation:
When I sat down to write my series I created characters I liked. I wanted the women to be smart, have their heads on strait, be part of a group of supportive friends, and have a positive relationship with their family. I wanted the guys to be the men you really want to meet -- good guys, who work hard, and treat women with respect.

For Juliette, I depart from the typical romance plot where the two main characters are absorbed with each other and have a misunderstanding during the mid point lull. Instead I take you through Juliette's day. Juliette works as an engineer at a Silicon Valley start-up and is busy with her strong group of friends. Initially I alternate chapters with four distinct threads - work, roommate, friends, and men. When Juliette chooses her man, the book becomes a more traditional romance novel.

Please note - this book was formerly The Juliette Trilogy - created from Meet Me, Kiss Me, and Be with Me. These books have been reformulated into one book, Juliette.

Work Stuff -- I've spent many years working high-tech in Silicon Valley at both large companies and start-ups. This has given me plenty of war stories and a rich understanding of how things work in the valley. I use this as a backdrop to my stories.

Family Stuff -- I'm a mom of a wonderful teenage daughter.

Book Stuff --
Coaching my daughter's soccer team was the inspiration for the Princess series. I watched all these wonderful girls and imagined what they would be like in ten years.

The Prince stories were inspired by all the single 30-somethings I know who are all working hard and still looking for that someone special.

The Reunion series was motivated by me going back to my high school reunion. The love stories are all from my imagination but many of the interactions were real.

Background Stuff --
Most of my stories take place in Silicon Valley. Not only do I live in Silicon Valley but I find it a unique and dynamic place with lots of smart people who work really hard. It also has its own culture I rarely find correctly represented in our media. I think most people who write about Silicon Valley have never worked at a Silicon Valley high-tech company. In other words, they really don't understand why it is the way that it is, they just write about the manifestations of what they see. I hope my books are a fun and an under-the-cover look, at high-tech Silicon Valley-style.

When I was looking for a second location for my stories, I wanted a place that would be different from Silicon Valley. That's why I chose Western New York -- where I grew up. I liked that it was three thousand miles away so the weather was different, the land was different, and it has a very different economic base.

Why I write --
A few years ago I had a cardiac arrest, spent four days in a coma, and lost ten days of my memory. With my damaged heart, I spent the rest of the year laying on my couch trying to get oxygen to my muscles and reading ... a lot. I found I liked books that have a first-person narrative, are relationship-driven and have a happy ending. These three characteristics were in all romance novels.

My Niche --
What I didn't see in most of the romance books was intelligent women with non-traditional jobs, a strong group of friends, and a loving relationship with their families. Since I have no desire to try to fix a broken man or date an unrepentant bad boy I found the typical romance men to be unappealing. That doesn't mean my hero's don't have issues. It's just their issues can be solved by opening up and falling in love with a great woman.

Where I get my ideas --
I got my idea for my books from life. My first series “The Princesses” is about 20-something men and women who live in Silicon Valley and are transitioning from college to full adulthood. For my second series, “The Princes”, I aged the protagonists up so they are dealing with issues people in their 30's face. With my third series “Reunion” I felt the issues and lifestyle of adults in their late thirties were universal and the stories did not need to be tied to Silicon Valley.

TITLE:
Juliette

SERIES:
The Princesses of Silicon Valley (#1)

AUTHOR:
Anita Claire

GENRE:
Contemporary Romance, New Adult, Academic (College)

SYNOPSIS:
Meet Juliette Cole, she’s just arrived back to Silicon Valley after three heartbreaking months following her grad school love to London. Moving in with childhood friend turned blond bombshell she gets introduced to Cassie’s crazy over the top lifestyle. Taking a job at a Silicon Valley startup she learns that work is more than just hoodies and free gourmet food. Thankfully she has The Princesses, her close group of girlfriends from college who all went as princesses to a Halloween party their freshman year.

They don’t call San Jose- Man Jose for nothing. Juliette’s heart is not lonely for long. Swimming before work she sees a guy with the most amazing six pack get out of the pool. Now she has a new quest – to meet him. While playing soccer she gets knocked out by an opposing player. The player’s hot doctor brother helps her to the sidelines then starts texting her. As things start heating up in Juliette’s personal life she now has two guys vying for her attention. Who will it be sexy swimmer Zach or hot Dr. Nate?

SETTING:
The story takes place mainly in Silicon Valley (home of the world’s largest high-tech corporations), the nickname of the southern portion of San Francisco Bay Area in the state of California.

CHARACTERS:
Juliette Cole - MC; Works as an engineer in one of the prestigious engineering group in Silicon Valley.
Nate Lombard - MC; An orthopedic doctor who loves hockey.
Zach - The “Abs Guy” swimmer; Love triangle with Juliette and Zach.
Cassie - Juliette’s promiscuous roommate.
Hita Chamarthi - Juliette’s colleague.
Isabelle Becker - Juliette’s former college roommate; Soccer player.
Amanda - Co-swimmer; Kevin’s girlfriend.
Austin - Co-swimmer; Mechanical Engineer.
Kevin - Co-swimmer; Electrical Engineer.
Stephen - Juliette’s ex-boyfriend.
Luke Tomlin - Cassie’s on-and-off boyfriend.

PLOT:
In a swimming pool, Juliette met Zach. Smitten by his perfect physique, every time she comes for a swimming practice, she waits for Zach to come and do his training. While ogling on Zach’s strut and, ahem, Speedo, she collided with one of the swimmers that ended up Zach noticing her.

In a soccer practice, Juliette visited her friend Isabelle. But after the game ends, she was accidentally hit by Nate’s sister who was also a soccer player. Nate, to the rescue, helped Juliette by examining her.

Over the course of the story, Juliette was confused whether to date Zach, her major crush or Nate, who she thought was cut out as a perfect buddy.

Thus, the story of love triangle unfolds.

NOTABLE PHRASE/S:
”Hita: How did your dates go?”
”Juliette: Two guys, two days, no conclusion.”

”Hita: Juliette, dating should be angst-filled. That’s what makes it fun. In twenty years when we’re knee deep in kids, houses, and jobs, we’re going to look back and long for the angst of our current lives.”
”Juliette: What a simple solution. It takes the angst out of the decision.”

”Oh Juliette, you’re too suburban middle class.”

OVERALL COMMENT:

As much as I want to like this book, sadly, this one isn’t cut out for me. Firstly, the story gave me an impression this was mostly about engineering, computers, geeky stuff and the likes, which lead to romance only as a sub-genre.

Secondly, all characters were developed feebly. I couldn’t connect to Juliette because her character mainly talks about her work and that her judgment as to who she should be dating between Nate and Zach was somehow disconcerting. Nate’s, on the other hand, could have been more likable if it was written mainly on how he was as a person and not just a doctor transferring to another state or Juliette’s text mate. Zach, for me, is the least character I liked due to his dismissive character towards Juliette. The story was supposed to be a love triangle but with Zach being inattentive to Juliette, I couldn’t see the angle. With this, combined the three MCs together, it was hard to fathom a romantic interest.

Thirdly, there were too many secondary characters. I get it they were introduced as part of the series. However, these characters somehow just popped up out of nowhere and only given one or two minute to almost useless scenes. That doesn’t bode well if you want to introduce an important character for the next book.

Fourthly, I found no interesting climaxes. The closest I got was when Juliette had sex with Nate for the first time. Subsequently though, most sex scenes ended up a “quickie”.

Lastly, it was written well. But somehow the beta readers and editors forgot to revise how most of the scenes should be delivered to make it more appealing to read. It seemed they focused on grammars and technicality which ended up as the storyline meagerly segmented.

On a positive note, the author writes well. IMO, it looks like the discrepancy came from the beta readers/editors. However, she needs to focus on creating scenes that correspond to interesting plots.

I also learned some engineering jargon.

RECOMMENDED TO:

I received a copy of the ePub from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Juliette is a refreshing New Adult Contemporary fiction where the female protagonist is not dysfunctional and pining over the bad boy. Juliette Cole has recently graduated and is working as an engineer in Silicon Valley. She is recovering from a break up but is determined to move forward. And she meets two potential boyfriend candidates—Zach and Dr. Nate. Both men appear to be attracted in her.

The novel introduces the reader to Juliette’s world. She has a strong support system including but not limited to her parents and her ‘Princess’ girlfriends. It is clear that she is focused, ambitious, confident and comfortable in her own skin. Her life is full and interesting—work, friends, eccentric roommate, swimming, soccer, and fencing to name a few. She is likeable and real. The short chapters move the story along quickly and the author draws the reader into Juliette’s world.

Juliette is a truly delightful read. The characters are well developed with strong and identifiable personalities. Their friendships and personal lives drive the novels. This well written series is character driven. The character list at the beginning of the novel is a useful tool—great idea.

Juliette is book 1 in the Princesses of Silicon Valley series. Anita Claire is a talented storyteller. Readers will be hooked on this page-turner.
Will Juliette make a choice between Zach and Dr. Nate? Looking forward to the next instalment.

Juliette Cole is a quirky, athletic, and highly intelligent young woman. She is trying to forget her latest blunder which was moving to London for love only to return back to Silicon Valley shortly after. Moving in with her friend from kindergarten friend Cassie, seemed like a good idea at the time but Juliette begins to quickly realize they are not always on the same level.

Juliette swims almost daily and she has been seriously been crushing on ab guy, Zach. While she is getting to know Zach she meets Nate, a doctor, whose planning to move to California. Through a series of fun flirty texts with Nate, she finds herself torn between two men, who to choose? Enter in Juliette's friends who are filled with opinions not to mention problems of their own.

This was a refreshing read. I thought Juliette was very relatable and her feelings with whether she was being flirted were very interesting, she questions herself and is not sure where she stands with either man. A real treat.

Story is told from maine character point of view.
It's kind of nice to be able to read about a strong, smart woman, with nice family, good friends, job and hobbies in New Adult fiction,…..but….

There were so many characters and a lots and lots of details about some not so important stuff. It felt so overwhelmed at times.

She is attracted to two different guys.
One Engineer sexy swimmer

and the other delicious Doctor,

... who could possibly decide?

I really don't like love triangles.

It just a little too long. Not great, but not bad either. With some sexy scenes, ok characters and nice writing I think it deserve three and a half stars…

4 stars for encouragement ! I enjoyed this book!! I really like the heroine's voice and her family and friendship dynamics. I adore her friends, the 'princesses' are so different and so cool! The book has a lot of characters I admit, but you won't feel overwhelmed about 'em , because the writing is very smooth and the story line flows in such a way that you are able to keep track of all of them. It helps that at the beginning of the book the author provided us with a list of all the characters.
Juliette is in her early twenties, she is a tech engineer, you can even call her a geek, she loves her family and friends, she has a lot of them, she works at a tech firm in a more of a men land and she is nursing her wounds after a half bad relationship. She is dealing with normal problems and she is living a normal life. This heroine is definitely not boring and I've enjoyed taking a peek into her day to day life. Being in the early twenties myself I can say that I definitely relate with the characters and some of the situations.
The plot is half about how a young intelligent focused woman deals with daily situations regarding work, family, friends and a 'dreams to be a social media star' kind of roommate, while the other half is about trying to choose between two interesting guys.
Even though I enjoyed the book, I was not a happy camper about that love triangle, only because I really don't like love triangles and I don't understand how you can not decide between two guys. In my opinion when you think about a second person, it means the first isn't the one, because if it was, then you wouldn't even looked at a second one. Is as simple as that. Though I really get the presence of the love triangle in this book, sometimes it happens. Actually I don't like love triangles because I end up feeling sorry for the other guy. *sigh* Oh and gosh I don't want to spoil anything,so don't read the next of this phrase but there is also a third guy in the equation at some point. Yes, that girl is busy! But, in the end I really liked the one she choose and I loved their relationship.
If you want a good, light, fun read you should definitely give this one a try!!!

3.5 I was contacted by the author to R2R several months before I actually read this book. Life, you know. By the time I had the opportunity to read it I lost the email with the ebook link (I think I deleted it by mistake), so I bought my own copy. There are a lot of things that I liked about this book, and a few I didn't. On the negative side, I'm not a fan of the love triangle trope (I've mentioned this many times in my reviews), so I didn't love that Juliette was going between two guys. There were moments when I felt she was shallow and immature and she frustrated me greatly. Also, I wasn't a big fan of Zach. I think he was what I saw as Juliette's moments of shallowness because he just seemed as if he only wanted a hookup. But that could just be me. On the positive side, I like Juliette as a character. She was sassy and smart and she truly evolved and grew throughout the book. I also really liked Dr. Nate. He had a great personality and I loved the text messages they exchanged. I enjoy it when an author adds elements such as texts, emails, and notes etc. within a story. The two were really cute together. And I love the interactions of the Princesses. They were funny and interesting and had such a great relationship. The writing was smoothed and flowed easily, the story held my interest that I finished it in a day. It also made me add the rest of the series to my TBR pile. I enjoyed this read a great deal. I would definitely recommend checking this book out.

4.5 stars

When you have a group of girlfriends with different personalities, like the princesses, it makes for a hilarious read.

Claire does a great job of giving each character their own unique personality. Even the smallest of characters stand out.

It's really refreshing when an author really takes the time to develop the characters, their traits, their idiosyncrasies...

Not once, did the characters bleed into one another. I always new which character was being focused on. Let me tell you, the banter between characters, especially the princesses, was absolutely hilarious. When it comes to women, you don't get more genuine than the conversations between best friends. Claire captured this perfectly in her book.

I'm giving this 4.5 stars and not rounding up to 5 because the ending just didn't have the closure or oomph that I needed. I really liked the majority of the book, but I felt myself kind of dragging towards the last 20+ pages. I loved the guys, but there wasn't a whole lot of closure with a couple of them. They just kind of faded.

Would I read from this author again? Absolutely. Her writing style is great. The flow is very nice. The humor is top notch.

I was given this book by the author in exchange for a review. I would like to say that I loved it, but I didn't. I think the premise of the book was great, a group of young women trying to find their place in the world while simultaneously trying to navigate the dating pool, but this book just came off as a series of extremely boring diary entries!! It was so bland hearing about Juliette's day-to-day life and honestly she was a pretty bland character. I felt no depth from her or her other "princesses" for that matter. I thought her roommate, Cassie, was extremely selfish and superficial and I didn't feel like there was any real sense of friendship between them. And speaking of no connections, I felt nothing, NOTHING, from either guy that she was "flirting" with! There was no chemistry or heat. I thought the conversations she had with them were boring at best. There was no humor or any sort of wittiness about their banter. Everything about this book was very vanilla. Her friends made fun of her for being "vanilla" and that's exactly what this was.

thoroughly enjoyed reading this story first for two reasons:
1. I've worked in the Tech sector for nearly 20 years and as a woman, can identify with Juliette's crazy 50+ work week, but rather than her extreme involvement in sports activities, I was raising three children as a single parent.
2. I live two hours northeast of the the San Francisco South Bay, having commuted back and forth for several years to the Silicone Valley for work, the books setting local is very familiar to me. I enjoyed recognizing the different places mentioned.

It took about the first three chapters for me to become emotionally invested in Juliette's story, but after that, I found the book moved along really well. I'm glad that Juliette and Nate came together and look forward to reading his story next. I also enjoyed how the author weaved the Princesses' relationships so very seamlessly into Juliette's story...and appreciated how all these women made such an effort to maintain their friendships.

This book was provided by the author for my honest review, the above is 100% my own opinion.

I really really wanted to like this but I'm afraid I couldn't even finish it. The writing was good but there was WAY too much detail. The story never progressed in the 40% I was able to read before giving up. She had the same conversation over and over as a way to introduce all 30 some characters. There was just absolutely no need for all of them. They didn't add anything to the story and in fact made it pretty unreadable for me. I have no idea who the love interest is supposed to be or why she would be interested in them except the doctor. I'm sorry I couldn't leave a good review and I am happy to see there seem to be plenty of people who enjoyed the book so maybe it just wasn't for me.

My review is 3.85 stars.

I'm a software engineer. So I think the book was perfect for me, as per the story. But I didn't make a connection with the story or the character, the way I wanted to. I liked the story but I didn't love it. The main character Juliette was good but the character didn't please me so much.

The other characters were like ambushing the whole story & its structure.

Romantic section of the book was ok not great. I felt some void there. The author's writing skills are exceptional but based the content part of the book, I cut few marks in the review.

This was an interesting and cute trilogy. It's wonderful to see an educated woman as the protagonist. Juliette and her friends are endearing and funny at the same time. I loved the difficult choice Juliette had to make between Nate and Zach with a little Gray on the side. These books are sexy, funny, sporty and geeky at the same time. I enjoyed reading these books from start to finish and will probably continue reading the Silicon Valley series.

Wow! 5 star *****!!!!!
I will say the book started slow as the author introduced several characters, so give it time. I love that Juliette and her group of friends are strong women but they live in the real world with situations that most young women have to deal with. They are smart, but sometimes you have to learn by going thru life. The men, range from total sigh, geeky sigh, creepy, etc... well you probably get the point.
Great read!

Juliette just returned to Silicon Valley after following her boyfriend to London. She is alone and moved in with her best friend she grew up with even though they are complete opposites. There are a whole lot of characters packed into this book from Juliette's college girlfriends to all the people she works with and the swim team. Cute little geeky story with lots of computer talk and an unexpected love triangle. Fun Read.

Book 1- Meet me in the Silicone Valley
This was a very easy read and an extremely fun one. It was a really well written book with an interesting storyline and very likeable characters that made it easy to fall in love with the story. In short I really enjoyed reading this book and look forward to the next in the series.

The main character is Juliette, a young lady who has finished university and has moved home to live with a friend from high school. Her and friends from university who now work at the same company call themselves the princesses based upon their likeness to Disney princesses. The book centres on Juliette’s life and how she is managing being back at home with her friends after a summer in England with her now ex-boyfriend. As Juliette becomes emotionally attached to not one but two new characters in this book, it is a learning character for her who is usually the shy wallflower type. I loved the main character due to how she is written, like she could very easily be a real life person and that her characteristics made her very likeable.

The secondary characters include Cassie, The Princesses, Zach and Nate. Cassie is the friend from high school although there is bad blood there involving a boy Juliette had a crush on and Cassie stole away, the two in this book are living together showing readers two people from completely opposite end of the scales with opposite personalities. The princesses are Juliette’s friends from university; they are called the princesses due to their likeness to Disney characters including Princess Jasmine, Mulan, Snow White and Merida. There are a lot of different characters included in the group of people referred to as the princesses however they all seem to have similar characteristics. They all seem to be very loud and willing to talk about their sexual experiences, almost the opposite to Juliette. Zach is a character also known as abs guy, he is a swimmer in the same place as Juliette and first comes to the reader’s attention in a sexy dream Juliette is having; the two characters go on to have a date. Nate is a doctor who attends to Juliette after an injury in a sporting game; the two characters go on to sext each other pictures of their bodies and then go on a date.

The storyline and pacing are superb leaving us with a cliff-hanger and desperate to know which of the two guys Juliette is involved with is going to contact her. The storyline I thought was very original and extremely fun to read and the pacing gave us a great intro into the characters and then brought us on a journey with them.

I loved this book, 5 stars.

Book 2- Kiss me in the Silicone Valley
Another really easy read that was fun and got me in the mood for summer and all the excitement it brings. This series so far has been a new and enjoyable read with really fun and lifelike characters that I find very easy to fall into. Anyone who has been to university and can identify their friendship group using characters from TV or film will like me recognise and fall in love with the characters in this book.

The main character in this book is Juliette, in this book she is still struggling with the two men in her life and is trying to balance these men with the help of her university friends ‘the princesses’. Juliette in this book goes through tremendous character development and turns from small wallflower to a slightly more confident version of that person and I expect there will be more growth in the next book.

The secondary characters include all of the princesses, Cassie the roommate, Nate the hot doc and Zach the swimmer. The princesses as always are supportive in their own way and have issues going on in their own life however they still make the effort to see each other regularly and catch up in what is going on in each other’s lives. Cassie is still a pain in the arse and attention seeker and is still in some kind of relationship with the same guy from the first book. Nate is a lot more present in this book with him and Juliette dating on a more serious level whereas Zach gets side tracked a little bit.

The pacing and storyline in this book make it more enjoyable. And the character development through these first two books shows that this series still have a lot to offer can I can’t wait for book 3 in the series to see who our leading lady will choose.

4 stars thanks for letting me review these books 

Book 3- Be with me in the Silicone Valley
This was another easy read although even at the start of this book it is fairly easy to see who is going to win the battle for Juliette’s love life. This book also differs greatly from the first two as it moves more along the lines of a traditional romance book which the first two try to stray from; but I felt like this was a good move because at this stage I already knew how great the characters were.

The main character as in the other two books Juliette; in this book she very much invests her time in dating Nate, and adding a few steamy moments into the mix allowing readers see even more intense character development on Juliette’s part. I’ve grown to love the realness of this character throughout the first two books and now in this book I feel like all ends have been tied up nicely, while I would like to read more about her and Nate as a couple and what happens in their relationship next.

The secondary characters are the same as in the other two books although with the book being more centred on Juliette and Nate than their relationships with other characters they were not mentioned as much in this book.

The storyline and pacing in this book are very different to the others in the series; it didn’t feel like there was very much going on other than the steamy parts with Nate and the character development with Juliette.

3.5 stars, I just thought taking this book in another direction made it a less of an easy read.

I received these books in exchange for an honest review. The main character of this trilogy is an engineer in Silicon Valley named Juliette. She has a close group of friends who all went to college together and are all very intelligent and supportive of each other without any drama or cattiness between them. The call themselves the "Princesses" because one Halloween their freshman year of college, they each dressed up as a Disney Princess who best fit their looks or personality. And now, out in the real world, post graduation, they still get together and still sometimes call each other by their Princess names. So Juliette's friends call her Snow since she dressed up as Snow White. While I loved that she had this truly supportive group of friends, there were just so many friends, that it was hard to keep up with who was who. There is an index and physical description of names of each character among the first pages before the book starts, but having read it on a Kindle, it was too much work to find that page and figure out who was who again. I also felt like there wasn't one friend that stood out... all the friends had equal exposure, so it was hard to really learn them. I know after this trilogy each friend gets her own book. I felt like the first book moved pretty slowly and I had trouble getting through it. I felt slightly less that way about book two, and book three was the most interesting to me. One thing about Juliette is she swims, runs, fences, plays soccer, does Zumba and helps teach English style horseback riding every week, along with working 55 hours a week. I simply found myself baffled about how she could fit all of that in, in addition to starting a new relationship. There were two men interested in Juliette at the same time. One was a fellow swimmer and engineer named Zach and the other was a sports medicine doctor moving there. The indecisiveness of Juliette about which guy to choose and was it okay for her to talk to both guys at the same time when she hadn't even been dating either one yet, was a little frustrating. Nate, the doctor, had impeccable manners, chose to text her daily and actually chased her. He was 5 years older than her 24 years and wasn't a commitment phobe. The swimmer, Zach, was Juliette's age. They had a lot in common as engineers, but he was slow to chase her and only started texting her, and asked her out on an official date because he was instructed to do so by someone who informed him another guy pursuing her and he would lose her if he didn't step it up. But she never did decide, as one of the guys was called out of town on business and was taken out of the picture. Also there was a third guy, Noah, who she grew up knowing and never thought of him in terms of a romantic partner but one who had seemingly had a crush on her. He shows up in maybe three scenes in the book. Juliette made a big deal about only having been with 2 men, yet after Noah kisses her, things get so hot and heavy that they have a one-night stand the day before her date with the guy she ends up with, which is the only reason she tells him "no" to sex on their first date. We never hear from the one-night stand guy again. I feel like he didn't need to be in the story.

Things I liked: That Juliette had a supportive group of girlfriends who supported each other 100% and got together regularly. I liked that Juliette and her friends were all intelligent professional women. We need more female protagonists that are intelligent and well educated. I liked that she had a close relationship to her parents, who supported and loved her. I liked when she ends up with the one guy in book 3 and we got to see their relationship bloom and grow. There was no angst in her actual relationship with the guy. It progresses like a normal healthy relationship would. I liked the scenes and descriptions of the dynamic at Juliette's work. I especially loved the description of their Holiday Star Wars themed party. I would have loved to attend that!

Things I didn't care for: At first I was excited to see big words like "ruminate" in the book until it was used so many times that it distracted me from the story. Things that also distracted me was the tendency to name and repeat brand names, like Pandora music station, Curly Girl hair product, Disney Princesses. I think between their real names and the princesses, I had a really hard time keeping up with who was who. It was hard to believe that Juliette had the time to work such long hours and do all the sports that she did each week. I also felt like much didn't really happen in books 1 and 2 and that it would've been a much stronger book if the three books had been trimmed down into one book.

Overall I give this a strong 3.5 stars because I loved the premise and saw so much potential, but like I said, if it was trimmed down into one book, I would rate it much higher. Thank you Anita for giving me this trilogy and I look forward to keeping you on my radar for your future books!

First I want to thank Anita Claire for asking me to give a r2r on Juliette , it was an absolute honor, and the book was frickin awesome .. I am sorry it has taken me a week to write a review i would have posted earlier when I actually downloaded it but I was finishing up with another series I started reading. But I finished it and immediately started Juliette . I was not disappointed . It was so frickin fantastic . If u like a story that you can relate to this is the book for you . I'm older than these group of girls but some of them I could actually relate to when I was younger .. So it was an amazing story . It has great characters and story line .. Also it kinda gives u a bit of a love triangle on Juliette's part .. You have to decide if your on team gorgeous , Dr. Nate who is little older than Juliette , his athletic and is very much a dominant with Juliette .. Then there is team Zach who is also gorgeous all over , swimmer , a little geeky , but very flirty and is the same age as Juliette.

Juliette Cole is a junior engineer w a startup co . She's beautiful , very smart , scrappy , and love to swim , play soccer ,and exercise .. She just came back from London after 3 months where she got an internship there , but things didnt work out like she hoped .. So she renewed her pass port n headed back to Silicon Valley to her princess friends and family . One of her friends gets her an intern job at the start up company she works . She rents room from one of her friends Cassie who happens to be very high maintains .. Juliette realizes she does love her friend but knows she can't trust her ..

One morning when she was swimming she saw mr. Abs , and realized she needed to find out who he is . She starts fantasying about him and wants to get him closer to him and see if he is everything her dreams are telling her .. She makes it her mission to find out who Mr. Abs is ....
Then one afternoon she is playing soccer and gets blindsided by a player from the other team and hits the ground and the breath knocked out of her when a Dr. Nate comes to the rescue and checks her out . While checking her out there's a little flirting on both parts and takes both of them by surprise .. As they introduce themselves Juliette is feeling a little off kilter.. Doesn't know why she all of a sudden feels him watching her and the affect he has one her .. Bc in her head she wants Mr. Abs .. So things start to develop in Juliette's life that she isn't prepared for and has to decide which hunk she wants to be with if any..
So who does she pick Dr. Nate , or Mr.Abs (Zach) ?

Very good love story and with amazing characters who so fit the covers of the books .. Loved it ..started on the 2 in the series ..
If you want a book w good characters , hot hunk man , and just a sexy steamy story .. Please read this one .. Anita Claire is awesome ..

This is a quintessential New Adult Romance Novel with it's love triangle, out of control roommate/friends, and plenty of angst. "Juliette" is the first novel of the Princesses of Silicon Valley series. It's computer rich Silicon Valley backdrop gives us plenty of great dating settings but it also bogs down the pace of novel with a large amount of technical and engineering laden jargon. Much of that read "blah, blah, blah, to me and made my eyes glaze over - I'm not a STEM girl. I think the same message, or feeling, could have been made with much less tech-speak. The pace felt rather slow in the first half and I'm not sure if that was by design or not. I'm also not a fan of the Love Triangle - and the heroine brought the New Adult heroine angst out by the fistful. The Heroine, Juliette, came across as slightly juvenile in how she handled the love triangle and it seemed as if she got lucky ending up with the Hero. She was continuously basing her choices on whoever she was with at the time - or whoever hotter or more dedicated in their correspondence. Anita Clare created extremely likable characters - a lot of "normal" friends that are all engaging and I am curious about their stories. For me I think "Juliette" needs to get re-edited, there a lot of misspellings and the unnecessary grammar errors such as using "then" when she should have used "than". There was a section when the name of one of the members of the love triangle, Zach was changed to Jack. Like I said, there was a lot that could have been pared down. The third member of the love triangle, Nate, was extremely charming and Alpha sexy.
I really enjoyed "Juliette" and wanted to rate it higher but because of the grammar errors that should have gotten caught, and the excess of unnecessary story I'm rating it lower. I really do wish Ms. Clare would get "Juliette" re-edited - same story - perhaps pare down (or out) some of the many sports and the lessen the tech-talk. Corporate politics, regarding women is corporate politics regarding women in the tech field, whether it's as a programmer or in Distribution. (I know, I worked in computer distribution.) I even loved the time spent with the roommate from Hell, Cassie. I want to see more of other Princesses of Silicon Valley. Hopefully Kim Carmichael has streamlined their stories and hired someone to catch those pesky typos better than before. The main characters where good to fabulous. The secondary characters were marvelous. The San Francisco and scenes set in the surrounding areas are also great. This is a good New Adult novel that could have been Fantastic with a little streamlining.

Read2Review: I received a free digital copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Summary: Juliette is a book about an Engineer who is trying to figure out her love life.

Pros: For the most part, the characters seemed real. Some of her friends were majorly flawed (Cassie), and Juliette's life wasn't all that exciting. When Juliette finally starts dating only one guy, the relationship progresses and I grew to like the guy she chose.

Cons: Although the characters were mostly real, some things were not. For example, Juliette works 55 hours a week, but also makes time to run, swim, play soccer, fence, teach fencing, ride horses, help with the horses, take hikes, have dinner with her family on a regular basis, go out with her friends on a regular basis, and date!!! I work out, but I honestly don't know anyone who has a full time job and is physically active in so many areas. That was too much! Also, she had too many friends to keep track of--so many that there was a "character guide" in the beginning of the book. Even after finishing the book, I can't keep all of them straight. What else was there too much of? Details. There were too many details about her projects at work and her comings and goings in every day life that had no relevance to the plot. This made the book feel too long. There is one thing that the book didn't have enough of--EMOTION! There was no conflict! There was never anything that happened where I thought, "Uh oh! Now what is Juliette going do?!?" Juliette seemed to just be going through life without really FEELING anything...I mean, at one point one the guys she hooks up with doesn't even respond to her texts. And she doesn't seem to get angry at all. She just seems to end up with the guy at the end through default. I didn't ever get the feeling that she "chose" him for any certain reason.

In the end, I just felt the book was okay. Too long and not enough emotion to want me to read more in the series.

>Book Review – Juliette –

>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the first in the Princesses of Silicon Valley series and ends in an HEA.

>Juliette is one of a group of friends who dressed up for Halloween as Disney princesses in college. Now out of college and in the work force, the group of friends get together to discuss their love lives and maintain their friendships. They speak bluntly when together, but the humor falls flat among all the sexual references. The real comedy is in the scenes with Juliette's sister and parents. The descriptions of the engineers in Juliette's office are amusing as well.

>The story line is unusual. Juliette has to choose between 2 guys. Really, though, no choice is made by Juliette. Circumstances bring her to choose Nick. There are a lot of side characters that could have made a greater impact in the story, especially her roommate, Cassie. The tools were there to make Cassie a great villain, but nothing was done with her. Juliette's high school friend, Grey, hooks up with her and just disappears from the story. Juliette's boss tells her some negative gossip about herself, but the origin of the gossip is never mentioned.

>The relationship between Nate and Juliette was cute, but their dates tended to drag a bit. I must say I've never read about someone with such an active lifestyle. Juliette enjoys fencing, horseback riding, swimming, and running. I feel like I'm in shape just after reading this story!

>I flagged 6 instances of editing errors, such as missing quotation marks, and misspelled words like marrying and dessert. Editing errors really take away from the story for me. The errors pull me out of the story the author is trying to weave, like an unwanted speed bump.

>This book is appropriate for an adult audience.

> I am giving this book 3 stars. I liked the story, but it felt like a lot was missing.

I received a free copy of this ebook from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Sadly, I'm not going to be able to finish it. It's not what I thought it'd be. The author gives this as her motivation for writing the series:

"When I sat down to write my series I created characters I liked. I wanted the women to be smart, have their heads on straight, be part of a group of supportive friends, and have a positive relationship with their family."

That sounded so refreshing in a New Adult contemporary romance! I wanted to read about these women who were smart with their heads on straight! Four chapters in and I was shocked at how juvenile they were. Middle school girls are more mature than these ladies seemed to be.

Plus, I was a little taken aback at the beginning when there was a chart to help one navigate the characters. There were 21 characters plus a dog listed. I thought, "what is this thing, Game of Thrones?" Why would we need this to read a contemporary romance? Well, you do need it, because the characters fly at you fast right from the start and I couldn't keep track. Plus, each of the women is assigned a Disney Princess she's supposed to be like and that just made it even more confusing and juvenile for me.

But, please understand that this is an explanation for why I did not continue reading the book. I DID NOT READ THIS BOOK. Just the first 4 chapters. Maybe it's awesome! Maybe it gets so good I'll never know how much I should hate myself for not sticking with it!

My honest review is that I am a quitter and have no idea whether this book is any good or not. Maybe you should give it a try and tell me all about what I've missed out on by failing to read it. ;)

First off, I received this book from the author as part of Read2Review in exchange for an honest review. There were some things I really liked about this story, and yet I was also frustrated by it. I liked Juliette and her group of friends, but I thought that there was way too much time spent doing nothing. We meet the Two main contenders for the love interest fairly early on, and yet, she doesn't really start dating any of them until about 70% of the way through the story. I thought Juliette's internal conflict over her feelings was realistic, but then she did something I thought was out of character . Since the relationship portion of the story was so short, I never really felt that there was any true connection. It just kind of felt like she ended up with the one who was there at the time.

Like I mentioned I did like Juliette and her group of friends. However, I didn't really connect with the Princess naming. I think there were too many of them and they kept coming in and out of the story. Halfway through the book there was another spot where it was again described as to who was which Disney Princess, and it threw me out of the story.

I thought the dialogue was good, and there were only a few editing/typos. I would have liked more time spent dealing with the actual people in the relationship versus just angsting over it.

I received a copy from the author for honest review.

This book is the complete trilogy and what a book it was. I’m far from a NA but I found that the main character was a relatable, average woman who had just begun what promises to be a successful career.

Juliette has just returned home after chasing her grad school boyfriend back to his home in England. Things did not end in the fairy tale romance she had hoped for and we find her back in Silicon Valley with a new job thanks to her college friend Hita.

We are introduced to Juliette’s friends nicknamed the Princesses (due to the girls going to a freshman Halloween party as the beloved Disney princesses), who help her navigate through life encouraging her to choose one of two very interested men.

We met Zach (ABS GUY) and he is standoffish at first but takes a interest in our main character after her childhood friend and flatmate Cassie persuades Juliette to go to her boyfriends NFL game. Where Juilette is seen by the world wearing a very tight top and smiling at her friend antics towards to cameras.

Things between Zach and Juilette are heading a little slow when guy number 2 shows up. Nate helps Juilette during a soccer game that see her injuried by his sister. Nate a sports doctor tends to Juilette and charms his way into her heart.

Juilette now has not one but two men bidding for her attention. Both men are charming in their own way. With the help of her fellow Princesses will Juilette choose the right one?

Wonderful book cant wait to read number four Nate

I was provided a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review.

The book starts with a list of characters and brief descriptions. It's quite the list, but I found it unnecessary to look back as I read.

I enjoyed this book. It began slowly and a bit stiff, but by about 20%, I found myself laughing at the dialogue, bonding with the characters, and getting into the situations described. The author takes a jargon-heavy setting in the Silicon Valley and turns it into an interesting, fun environment for a group of college friends starting out in their chosen careers and hobbies.

I liked Juliette, the main character, a lot. She's sporty, intelligent, and driven. I liked that she's finished grad school and is still fairly naive in the ways of men and relationships. I also liked that she's feisty in life, but somewhat buttoned-up and conservative in her approach to men. The interactions with her friends are authentic and amusing. They poke fun at each other and gossip the way friends do, without malicious intent. It's a great group of diverse personalities and backgrounds.

The book is speckled with steamy sexy times--dreamed and real. Some are over the top and felt artificial, but those were dreams, so probably intentionally so. Juliette had some fun and some serious, and all was right in the world.

I'd recommend this book. I'm looking forward to delving into the rest of the series.

First, allow me to say thank you to the author, Anita Claire, for sending me an e- copy of this book for review. I understand that it takes a tremendous amount of hard work and courage to offer your work up for review. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of that process.
I find myself struggling to write this review. There were moments in the story where I paused and thought, "oh... That was smart." Then there were moments when I wondered where in the world this story was heading. In fact I would liken myself to Dorothy in Oz, wondering where I had landed. There were way too many sex scenes packed into this book. Sensual scenes are great, but only when done with class. Sometimes I felt like the characters were acting more like overly hormonal 16 year olds as opposed to the young adults they were supposed to be.
Lastly, the sheer number of characters to keep track of was completely overwhelming! Why do all the Disney princesses have to represented in the story? I understand that the author is setting her story up to continue through a number of books, however, I think, in this case, less is more.
If you are looking for an easy read and you don't mind a lot of crude language, then this may be a good fit. If you are the reader that requires more of a meaty story then you may be disappointed.

Good book to start a series with. After this one the rest of the series is now on my to read list as they are still coming out. It was an easy read more real life than fantasy love story so you can relate. It stopped at a perfect spot that makes you accelerate the next in the series to your next in cue to read.

This was a light read you could pick up and put down reading a chapter a day and it was exciting enough you'd contemplate what's going to happen next time you pick up the book. It did build to the point I read way more than a chapter a day and finish the last half of the book in a few hours. It is young and fun as you love vicariously through Juliette's fun dates and encounters with friends. I can't wait to read what's next.

** spoiler alert ** A little disappointing after all the fun in the second book of this series but still a good read. This was a whole lot more sexy time getting to know one of those lucky boys more intimately. After a little way in though it was pretty disappointing that the choice was obvious and there was no second guessing yourself or good twists and turns.

I received this book in return for my honest review.

I would give this trilogy 3.5 stars

The story is light and easy enough to read, however, I struggled with the first book as it introduced a lot of characters which left me flicking back and forth between pages to work out who was who. I didn't find the character list until I'd read the three books, if it had been at the front I think it would have helped me get into the book more.

I enjoyed book three the most as Juliettee had finally found the right man, I was pleased she picked Nate as Zach didn't seen fully invested or that into her really. I like that the characters had normal jobs and active social lives and that Juliette had more going on than just finding a man.

The ending was a little disappointing for me, I want to know what happens between them, was Nate as perfect as he seems and would Juliette progress in her job. I know there are more books about the other characters but I didn't feel like Juliettes story was finished and I was left with lots of questions.

I will probably read the next book and hopefully find out some of these answers.

This was originally three separate books (Meet Me, Kiss Me, Be With Me) that have been re-worked and re-edited to make one more appealing story.

This story is about Juliette, Gray, Noah, Zach, and the rest of the princesses that were Juliette's college friends.
Juliette has gone from quiet engineer regrouping from her breakup with a long time boyfriend to almost another person entirely and she doesn't know how to handle it. Nate, Zach and Gray are the three guys in her life. Gray is a longtime friend that has secretly had a crush on Juliette, Nate is a Doctor that she met when his sister took a block shot at her in a soccer game, and Zach the swimming adonis that she has crushed on since she saw him at swim practice one day. Three men, all contenders, but she is having a hard time deciding what to do. Well, Gray is a friend...not a boyfriend and the other two, yep both boyfriend material. Her inner self has talks about what she is doing and its pretty funny, it reminds me of the angel on one shoulder while the devil is on the other and they are both telling you different things to do.
