The Blake Sisters #1

Protecting the Heiress

Rate this book

From strictly business to pure pleasure

Stepping up as head of her family's international security firm gives Francine Blake, heiress and eldest Blake triplet, almost everything she's ever wanted. The one thing missing is the sexy, stubborn company partner who's been in her fantasies for too long. She refuses to give in to their attraction unless he can love her as his equal. But working together to safeguard a celebrity client is sweeping Francine closer to total surrender.

Security specialist Meeks Montgomery can think of any number of places he'd love to see gorgeous Francine every day. Behind her desk—fine. In his bed—even better. In the field on dangerous assignments? His heart can't stand it. Until a new case puts them both in the line of fire, proving how much he'd risk to be the one who protects her forever…

This book kept popping up on my FB timeline, and in my Recommendations, and after seeing the positive reviews, I decided to check it out. It took me a while to read it, because I have SO many books on my Kindle waiting to be read, but I was in the mood for something light and decided to give it a shot. The first couple of pages didn't draw me in, so I moved on to something else. After reading that book, I came back to this one.

I didn't love this book as much as other reviewers did. It was just okay to me, and Meeks and Francine got on my nerves. I will say that the mystery/suspense portion of the book was well done. I was convinced I knew who the stalker was very early on, and must confess that I was totally surprised when the 'stalker' was revealed. I spent much of the book giving the serious side-eye to the culprit for other reasons, but never saw their involvement in the stalking scheme. Very well done.

Protecting the Heiress

Meeks Montgomery is overbearing and overprotective of Francine Blake and has been since they were kids. They're in love but afraid to act on it. When Cine makes the decision to take on a celebrity client as CEO of their security firm, Meeks is determined to keep her safe come hell or high water. While Cine is focused on the clients security, little does anyone know, she's the main target. Will Meeks be able to Protect the Heiress? This story is a page turner. 5 stars!

This was my first time reading this author and I'm glad to say I'm glad that I did. Francine and Meeks story was very cute. Waiting on them to figure out what was right in front of them was great. If your looking for romance with a touch of suspense this is the book for you.

This is the 2nd book I read by Martha Kennerson. I wanted to read the other Blake Sisters books because I loved Tempting The Heiress. I'm sorry this story didn't grab my interest like the 3rd book. This story was boring to me.

First book in the Blake Sisters series was an excellent read. Francine is the eldest triplet, an over-achiever and CEO of the family's international security firm. Meeks Montgomery is COO of the firm, a security specialist and Lon-time family friend. They have unresolved fantasies about each other, but working together on a case is making them resolve the feelings that they have for each other as well as putting them in the line of fire.

This book was great, can't wait to read Farrah's story. Great job Martha Kennerson!

This is my first time reading a love story from Martha Kennerson and I must say that is was excellent from beginning to end. I enjoyed the love story between Meeks and Francine because it was a story that kept its readers on its toes! Who says that lovers can't work well together? Meeks and Francine learned how to compromise while working together all in the name of "true" love! I can hardly wait to read Robert's and Farrah's love story!!!

I never would have thought of a woman Private Investigator but the Blake Sisters are good. Meek Montgomery company COO was in love with one of the triplets from the very beginning had a right to be nervous about the woman he loves. Great story, lots of turns and twists, love the passion.

I loved this story. Not only was this a story of two people fighting a love for each other a battle with which the lose, but the suspense that is added really makes this book for me. If you are looking for romance with some suspense and some twist and turns then I recommend you read this story.

Classic Romance in Modern Setting

I don't read a lot of romance, probably because I read so much in my younger years that I burned myself out on the genre. But Protecting the Heiress was a pleasant surprise. Interesting characters and a great plot with good twists.
