In one week’s time you can begin the journey you’ve waited your whole life to take. It’s your moment, your life, and this is the book that will help you take that first big step… Gulp!
I think this is a well-thought out, and well-written book. But, at the same time, I feel that the exercises given are “pipe dreams” if readers expect to be able to make huge, life-changing decisions. The tips are, however, helpful, if they are used as I believe they are actually intended…as baby steps. I don’t believe that the writer intended this book to be misleading, but it seems to me that she firmly believes that someone who is unhappy with their life, but an over-analyzer who takes their time making decisions, will be able to dive right in without thinking about the fears or pros and cons of their new ventures because she did it. I believe that there are people who can make a major life change, with the help of her book (tips and ideas), but I also believe that the majority will give up, not realizing that the goal they are seeking may actually take longer than seven days to gain the courage to begin to work towards. It’s full of great ideas and tips, but there should be a side note that reminds readers that Rome wasn’t built in a day, and not to give up even if you don’t succeed with the smaller goals the first time around.
