Trouble #2

The Trouble With Us

Rate this book
"Love is bull****."That's how blogger, Bianca Bailey begins the first post of what's supposed to be a new series on her website, in response to her readers curiosity about her feelings on love. That post never makes it to the public eye, but those three words perfectly sum up Bianca's outlook, and rule the way she interacts with the men around her — including Rashad.Rashad isn't interested in anything serious either, but for a different reason. Rashad loves women, and women love him, but he's avoiding trouble — the nickname his father uses for the kind of woman that makes you forget all others exist. He’s young, he’s handsome, and his photography career is right at the point of taking off. Settle down for what?Although their relationship is contentious at first, their mutual attraction isn't something that can be ignored, or denied. Disdain on one end, and unshakeable curiosity on the other, develop into an unconventional relationship where they get the benefits of companionship without the trouble of love. One thinks they can keep it casual, the other is looking for an opportunity to take it further. Neither of them expects to “catch feelings”… let alone find themselves considering the “L” word.

Loved The Development Of Their Relationship

I’ve loved this couple from other books and now I see how their story actually developed. Bianca & Rashad is definitely one of my favorite CCJ couples.

The 2nd read was the newly released audiobook narrated by Wesleigh and Sharif Stevens duet style….

The Trouble With Us was a super cute read from Christina and honestly, my favorite of hers thus far.

I think I may have said it before, but what stands out about Christina's work for me is probably her dialogue, which is always witty and funny/cute. Again, I see colors while I'm reading her work because she creates a such a vibe with her stories. Loved reading about Bianca and Rashad... great chemistry and connection between the two of them.

This was a super cute, light, fun read for me. Loved it.

Really Good!!

I don't know why book #1 of this series didn't resonate with me, but book #2 hit ALL of my benchmarks. It is just an exceptionally good romance story, with all the required elements along with a VERY IMPORTANT message for young women, or just women in general. Nothing says you can't educate and titillate at the same time.😄😄😄😄😄

Buy it, read it and enjoy.👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥

CCJ is such an awesome writer, I have enjoyed every book she has written and I see her growth as an author. I so enjoyed reading Rashad & Bianca's story, it was more than boy meets girl and falls in love. It's fresh, sassy and spicy with lots of spirited dialogue not only between the main characters but the secondary one's as well. I love seeing old characters but enjoy the fact that they are not overtaking the current story and it's characters. Serendipity love at it's best!!!!

Double Trouble

I loved this. Rashaad was super dope and so was Bianca. I liked B from 'The Right Kind Of Trouble', which is about her younger sister Lauren, since I read that first (all out of order 🤦🏾‍♀️).

Either way, I really liked the jokes in this one. The vibes of 'Shad and B were so chill, once they got over that initial hump, and I loved it.

Drew and his mom need a mud hole stomped in them for how they treated B. So glad' Shad didn't hold back and (slightly) gave him the business. Just despicable 😒.

CCJ is just writing Royalty in my eyes at this point. I may read other books by other authors, yet she's in my top 3 of author books I'll read and re-read time and time again.

Read this series. You won't be disappointed.

I loved this book! Loved everything about it: the storyline, the characters, the dialogue…everything! I’m amazed at how CCJ keeps consistently putting out such high quality books. I read a LOT and I buy a lot of books, but I’m annoyed at how authors are putting out these short stories disguised as books – and then charging a lot for them. What impresses me about CCJ is that although her books don’t have high page counts, the story is always good and always feels complete (for lack of a better word). I have yet to read a book from her and feel disappointed.

I loved Rashad and Bianca as much as I hated Drew and his trifling mama (such nasty pieces of work!). I loved how Lauren wasn’t a ‘typical’ teenage mom, but was focused, and getting priceless support from the grandparents, which allowed her to continue her education – which puts her in a wonderful position to provide for herself and Harper. Thanks for that positive image! I was initially hoping for a love match for Lauren and Kieran, but nah...he had me fooled. I’d love to read her story someday (hint, hint, wink, wink, LOL!). Great cast of characters in this one. Rashad’s dad had me laughing out loud at that Sunday dinner scene! Too funny! Since I’m likely in the parent’s age range, I appreciate CCJ making them feisty and vibrant, cause we’re still living and loving and getting it in, too!

Thanks for another really good read, Mrs. Jones! Waiting expectantly for whatever is next!

#BiShad

Rashad and Bianca have easily become one of my favorite CCJ couples. They're refreshing, young, ambitious, and smart individuals. Bianca is introduced as a bit of an 'ice princess' and is quickly thawed by the infectious charm Rashad exudes.

I also love the inclusion of pop culture in this project. Jones weaves us into the world of 'bloggership', giving us insight on media in the 21st century. This story and its characters are so vivid and captivating from the first page.

I highly recommend this one to all die hard romance junkies like me!

Psssssssst... Rashad, buy her the car, house & ring! (reader insider)

Great short story!

Loved this story. It was a quick, fun read. I could "feel" the chemistry between Bianca and Rashad. As always Ms. Jones threw in a twist that was unexpected. Another great work by the author.

Rashad & Bianca

Wooo I really liked this couple. I did have some reservations about Rashad but he came through like the man his daddy raised him to be. Bianca had it going on! Good story!

Rashad is a heartthrob and it seems inevitable that he'll fall for Bianca. Their roller coaster romance is great story and Mrs. Jones tells it beautifully.

Rashad and Bianca, reluctant love

This was a good, sweet, second chance romance about two young people trying to find their way in their careers and their romantic relationship.

We met Rashad in 'The trouble with love: a story of two sisters.' He was the jokey, flirtatious, f##k boy that was more than a little annoying. Can't say that I thought he'd get his own story, but I'm glad he did. He was a great hero for this story. Bianca is a popular YouTube influencer recovering from years of emotional and mental abuse from her ex-boyfriend. The connection between these two is great. This was a very well told and well written story. Thank you Ms. Jones for continuing to share your talent.

UGH! I really enjoyed the chemistry between Rashad and Bianca. The banter between them two was so cute. I found myself swooning, smiling extra hard, and cackling. CCJ did a great job (per usual) with the pacing of their relationship (it was quick, but the pace of the quickness didn’t feel like a “whiplash”). Nothing was dragged out or unrealistically quick. I even found myself proud of Bianca’s growth at the end of the book and how even though the evolution of her relationship with Rashad influenced it, he didn’t “save” her. She saved herself. I’ve read enough of CCJ’s books to comfortably say that her books are truly like a breath of fresh air and The Trouble with Us is no different. This was a wonderful read!

Oh Rashad!!

I went into the book really disliking Rashad from the previous book in the series. I felt he was obnoxious, abrasive, and cocky. I honestly wasn't sure I was in the mood to read more about this character. But, I'm glad I did!! Rashad turned out to be very endearing and honest. Bianca is a fashion maven with a horrible ex whose behavior has greatly impacted her relationship outlook. Rashad is a photographer who loves playing the field until he meets his match. This story of whether they are friends, coworkers or destined for something more is highly entertaining. Great read !!

I have mixed feeling about this book solely because of the ending. I thought Bianca and Rashad had great chemistry. I loved that it wasn't instalove. I loved the back and forth between the two. But I wouldn't consider them enemies. STOP READING.....SPOILER ALERT! The reason I didn't love the book was because of the ending. Because of her abusive ex she was afraid to be in a relationship with him. In reality they were in a relationship but never labeled it which I thought was stupid. She meets his parents and admits she L word him! I get she had a bad experience but in my opinion Rashad proved he was different.

LOVE HAPPENS

The love this mother had for her son was definitely sickening to the point of pure scariness!!!... The fact that she encouraged his behavior and the words he slow truly spk volumes on how sick her marriage and their family dynamics!!!...
I was so happy that Cameron worked to help redeem Bianca and let her know they support her!!!...
I LOVED Bianca and Rashad together!!!...His arrogance from this 1st book is what made their seven more exciting be the was definitely the love them and leave them and she captured something in him that settled him!!!...
I hope there is more of them!!!...

The Artistry of Good Trouble

Foremost, I had the pleasure of reading “The Trouble With Us - Book 2 of 3” via the kindle platform which was a great read navigating through the complexities of Bianca (her traumas) & Rashad (charismatic lady’s man) under normal circumstances. However, if it’s conceivably possible to elevate a literary experience, listen to the Audible version of “The Trouble With Us”. 🤯😍‼️Characters Bianca narrated by (💐Wesleigh Siobhan💐) the undisputed queen & Rashad narrated by (🥃Sharif Stephens🥃) both performances were superb‼️But Mr. Sharif 😉, his voice can make miranda rights sound like poetry or indulging in the artistry of good trouble 🤭😁🤷🏾‍♀️‼️

Enjoyable

This book was very enjoyable. In the beginning, they tried to deny their chemistry but ended up given in. Rashad showed Bianca exactly how a man treats a woman. Drew and his mama could kick rocks with their big toe. Lol I was so glad that Bianca stood up for herself and to realize and understand her worth. I'm glad that Rashad revealed how he was very supportive and protective of her and showed how much of a sexy and classy man he is.

Fun read!

As usual, this was a good story, well structured, well written. My only suggestion for a change was to use that photographers conference to call out professionals in the field who use there craft to defame others. Use the platfoto disassociate/ discredit / discourage persons who are known for acts/ crimes the 'Drew' character committed. Now don't misunderstand my stance, that whipping was definitely necessary and well received too, lol.

Yesssss!

I stayed up all night to read this book, so I’m real tired. All I can say is this: this author know how to write her characters, y’all! 10/10, would highly recommend if you’re looking for a quick read that is frenemies-to-lovers with a lot of swoons and laughs.

CONTENT WARNING: This story does talk about emotional and verbal abuse in a former romantic relationship, and it is described on the page.

I loved Bianca and Rashad. Bianca is a blogger. Rashad is a photographer. they are working together on a project and things get hot hot hot hot! Rashad was a good communicator and exercised a lot of patience with Bianca. Bianca had trauma from a past relationship. she got out and turned her life around but the ex was still trying to control her. just sick. Rashad was 100% the man she needed and he stood 10 toes down for her. I loved every minute. ♥️ ❤️
