Pretty consistent quality throughout but not my favourite. I understand that they were also product of their time but the ones representing the dialect orthographically were just a little bit much to read (glad we are past that as a society!) I also think I have read some of those in previous instalments of the series but that is neither here nor there.

Favourite entries: "The night is darkening around me" by Emily Brontë, "Maiden in the Moor" by Elizabeth Dearnley, "Corstophine" by E.F. Benson, "Natural Remedies" by Andrew Michael Hurley, "Madam Crowl's Ghost" by J.S. Le Fanu, "Beckermonds" by Phyllis Bentley, "Gilbert" by Charlotte Brontë, "The Deadfall" by Ted Hughes

Really lovely collection of Yorkshire stories which were collated meaningfully.

Another great collection of short ghostly stories from The British Library of the Weird. This time Haunted Yorkshire, edited by Elizbeth Dearnley. It also features poems by Charlotte and Emily Bronte. Stories by Ted Hughes, Sylvia Plath, and others make for excellent reading. 10/10.

These type of collections can be rather hit and miss, but most of these hit the mark, especially the eerie corstophine.
