I've been reading this book on and off for the past couple of weeks; it took me a long time to finish it- not for the lack of interesting content, but for delayed gratification. This book, is the second book in my three aussie writers books borrowed from the library, as with the first one finished - this one definitely didn't disappoint.

More than a crafts book, more than a recipe book, more than a guide; this book supports the notion that life must be lived and experienced to its very potential.

A book that is both beautiful on the outside as much as it is on the inside..

Oh goodness. If I could ever have a book be my best friend, this would be it. Warm and comforting and funny, Pip Lincolne is a kindred spirit for anyone who desires to be creative, kind and NICE. Now if you excuse me, I'm off to buy this for all of my favourite people - everyone deserves a bit of Pip in their life!

Even if you're not 'crafty', don't be put off, Craft For The Soul is about so much more than just craft - it covers all facets of a creative life, and also just having a happy life. I've long enjoyed Pip's work via Frankie magazine and her blog, Meet Me At Mike's, but this book isn't a repeat of the same - it is a real overview of Pip's approach to life, and all forms of creativity. It is full of common sense, fun lists, ideas, recipes and crafty projects, in Pip's warm, funny and honest style. I'm really sad I've finished it and I'm considering reading it again right away. Absolutely loved it and highly recommend.

The chapter on getting up in the morning feels like a betrayal. In *Days Like These* I felt seen in a way I never have IRL. In the second chapter of *Craft for the Soul* Pip tells me I'm cosy-toed for "waking up" (I have insomnia) in pain (I have chronic migraine), scared to leave my bed knowing that I'll be bowled over by my family the moment I do, and that I'm a stubborn and mule-y kind of person for not being a morning person. I just hate it so much and I'm so disappointed. I don't know if I can read any more.

I don't usually go for the self-helpy books, but this one was just chill enough to remind me to find space for my brain and myself without making me roll my eyes constantly. The sections are now and then too short or awkward (like drooling all over Tavi without really giving the reader any background on who she is... which doesn't matter for me, but should still for many). But, yeah, I felt good about reading this and that was the point.

more of a 3.5. The first few chapters inspired me to include more creativity in my life, but the sections on work, friends, and family were disappointing. The book is beautifully designed and filled with interesting recipes. English or Australian measurements and ingredients had me looking up caster sugar for fun and I love the bean bag frogs, but overall it fizzled out.

This is a great book. There are pages that actually teach you how to craft, sewing etc. there are good ideas in here for things to do not involving your phone. A great resource if you need a reboot.

There's nothing new or mind-blowing within the pages of this book, unless you count the fact that the author has a very appealing, positive writing style and seems like the kind of person I'd like to befriend - and I do count that; I certainly factor it in. It's a handy reference book - a refresher that will prove useful when I've got the doldrums, I suspect. I do intend to use some of the recipes, some of them sound delicious! I wanted this book because I enjoy Pip's blog and some of her Facebook posts. Hope mine can generate book sales some day too!

I have to say up front that Pip's writing style is not for me. It grates, as if she's trying so hard to be 'rad' (seriously, what is it with that word?). Gives me the irrits. But I got over that and ignored all the references to sparkly unicorns (yep).

There is SO MUCH common sense in this book. Just ignore the style and focus on the ideas. Many of them aren't new or revolutionary but are simple and straightforward and have been proven to work.

The book is chock-full of great advice. Recommended.

Cutesy while stilling pinning important points. I'll probably re read sections as necessary. I love all the little crafts and recipes and I look forward to trying them along with the activities within each chapter. If recommend this book for anyone looking to get a little more present, creative and perhaps even mentally organized. Pip is kind of annoyingly cute sometimes but a little positivity is good for peeps like me.

Not really a craft book but a 'get your creative mojo back' book with a few craft projects and recipes chucked into the mix. Title is a bit misleading really. I thoroughly enjoyed this book - Pip has such a chatty, kind, sensible yet fun writing style. She's like a good mate telling you to 'buck up' but in a kind, 'do it your way and at your pace' tone with some gentle suggestions and ideas to get you going. A good book for the start of 2016.

Heartwarming little book I read in 2 days! It as a lot of sweet and whimsical advice - I'd even consider it a self help book in a way. Even though you know most of what Pip is saying, her tone and approach is refreshing and puts you at ease to get motivated and 'get crafty'. Thanks Pip for your help!

So fun! I thought this book was a very encouraging read. It's written by a kind and encouraging voice who wants others to find small ways to make their lives a bit brighter on a daily basis. I appreciated the practicality of this book, the thoughtfulness, and the levity with which it was approached.

I don't understand all the rave reviews. I wanted to love this book, but I thought it was bunch of repetitive drek, and the crafts were mediocre. The mobile for babies is a choking accident waiting to happen. Ugh.
