This was a very short book, easy to read in one sitting. As the title says, it was about the Bible study habits of 12 Christian Leaders. I had heard of most of them, and it was very interesting to read about their early Christian years and what drew them in their own particular brand of Bible study. The book itself is 12 articles from the Bible Study Magazine published between 2009 and 2014. I would not mind reading other books in this series, but they are rather pricey considering how short they are. Each volume is $14.99 and they are less than 65 pages long. If they go on sale at a more agreeable price I might pick up another volume, but at the current price, they will have to stay on the shelf.

I received this volume as a free book of the month from Logos.com.

This was a very fast read and not very content rich. What was lacking: a deeper exploration of the people’s Bible study methods, how they grapple with texts, how they work through the challenges of Bible study, how the reader can get a front row seat to their study. What I can take away: there was a good breadth of Bible teachers with differing approaches. I appreciated the fact that although some aspects of Bible study are universal, others vary as much as people vary.

This had a lot of simple but insightful helps into different people's mode of Bible study and Bible intake. Though everyone does it differently, the point is that each person has a love for God's Word and finds it extremely beneficial to their faith.
