When the elite Delta Force’s Bravo Team is inserted into Yemen to rescue a kidnapped Saudi prince, they find more than they bargained for—a crate containing the Black Stone, stolen from Mecca the day before. Requesting instructions on how to proceed, they find themselves cut off and disavowed, left to survive with nothing but each other to rely upon.
With the worldwide Muslim population erupting in violence at the news of the theft by infidels, Bravo Team desperately tries to return the relic they are accused of stealing, relying on the help of friends who defy the orders of their government. Colonel Clancy, the CIA’s Dylan Kane and Chris Leroux, as well as Professors James Acton and Laura Palmer, all join forces to save America’s heroes after their country abandons them.
For should they fail, all-out war could be inevitable.
From USA Today bestselling author J. Robert Kennedy comes Infidels, a heart-pounding thrill ride sure to keep you on the edge of your seat until the very last page. Filled with action, humor, romance and heartbreak, prepare to be emotionally exhausted after finishing this provocative, controversial thriller.

Just what you would expect of J Robert Kennedy. He has unleashed his Delta Force and it really a page turned. It has all the guys spread thin to take care of business while the world was in mob rule. What unfolds is so today it is Scarry. Don't miss this one!
Plenty of food for thought in this story. With Delta Force disavowed and all of Islam up in arms, there is all to do to avoid a very bad situation getting even worse. The author has really put together yet another excellent novel bringing in James Acton and Laura into the mix.
Scary because this could easily happen in this powder keg time we live in. Unfortunately each side is too afraid or unwilling to concede the other might have a point. But it was thought provoking for me on many levels. That being said, the story was well written and kept me captivated the show time!
Book 2 was a fun read and had errors throughout. The plot and characters developed well. The plot dragged a bit and was predictable in places. There were a few nice twists and the book picked up after half way. The characters are developing well and have a good dynamic. I look forward to the next book.
As expected, very violent with the good guys shooting bad guys at an amazing rate. And a scary prediction about what might happen if violent Muslim fundamentalist fanatics create havoc.
The writing is so good that I look out of my window to check that it's not happening for real.
With all due respect, But the writer has no clue about Islam, and so it seems not even Christianity... The story itself had potential... But the pure nonsense about Islam made it a big fail for me... Such a shame...
I've read a lot of Kennedy's books, and this is one of his best. When a rogue Saudi prince steals the Black Stone from Mecca and threatens its destruction. Delta Force goes in to retrieve it. But when video appears of the Americans in possession of the Black Stone, the Saudi government blames the Americans for stealing the relic, and the world erupts in chaos.
This is all too plausible plot, as we see events from the Delta Team's attempt to return the Stone as a civil war erupts in Saudi Arabia, and a Benghazi-like scenario at the Paris embassy. This is non-stop fun action, and all of Kennedy's cast of characters return. It won't win any literary awards, but I'm hooked on these books.
...That death count though. o.O The Acton, Delta and Kane books have had some pretty high death counts, but I think this might have been the highest? After finishing, I just had to stop and think of that for a moment. Pretty horrifying what-if scenario! Obviously this book is not for everyone and due to the depiction of Muslims (though the author and characters within do point out it's not all Muslims that act the way they do in the book), may offend some people. If that is the case, I recommend skipping this one. I thought it was a disturbing read, given the actions and things done to people. Can't say I enjoyed it, but I did find it compelling and a quick read.
The men who make up elite unit Delta Force also known as the Unit are some the best soldiers in the United States. This novel was a blast from start to finish.
I love Kennedy's books and this one is one of the best. It's a scary look into what could be in our future. Radical actions on anyone's side is never a good thing
