From the NY Times Best Selling Series comes a Double Feature...
The Game Plan (Book 5)
Spend the next 40 years in prison or break her lease early? Normally she’d be able to say that this one was a no-brainer, but things have definitely changed since she was forced to move in across the hall from Danny Bradford. A lot of things... She wanted to get through one day, just ONE day without Danny Bradford doing something to test the limits to her control, but with that damn smile of his and his habit of leaving her contemplating manslaughter, she didn’t see that happening anytime soon. He loved his family, but some days... It was too much, but that was okay, because his small neighbor living across the hallway provided him with endless hours of entertainment. Not on purpose of course, but did it really matter as long she made him smile?
Double Dare (Book 6):
Marybeth still couldn’t believe that she’d survived this long with a friend like Darrin, but somehow she’d managed to beat the odds and not give in to temptation and smother him with a pillow while he slept.
Of course some days were more difficult than others...
For twenty years he’s been biding his time, waiting for the right moment to make his move and now that she was finally his, he had to do everything in his power to keep her even if it meant making a decision that would tear them apart and force her to face the truth.
New York Times Bestselling author, R.L. Mathewson was born in Massachusetts. She’s known for her humor, quick wit and ability to write relatable characters. She currently has several paranormal and contemporary romance series published including the Neighbor from Hell series.
Growing up, R.L. Mathewson was a painfully shy bookworm. After high school she attended college, worked as a bellhop, fast food cook, and a museum worker until she decided to take an EMT course. Working as an EMT helped her get over her shyness as well as left her with some fond memories and some rather disturbing ones that from time to time show up in one of her books.
Today, R.L. Mathewson is the single mother of two children that keep her on her toes. She has a bit of a romance novel addiction as well as a major hot chocolate addiction and on a perfect day, she combines the two.
In 2019/2020, R.L. Mathewson will be publishing Devastated, the first Anger Management novel, Tall, Dark & Furious, the 6th installment to the Pyte/Sentinel series, Irresistible, the long anticipated novel for the Neighbor from Hell Series as well as many more books throughout the year, paranormals, contemporaries, and YAs.
THE GAME PLAN: There are a few things you need to know about this series one when one of these men fall for their unsuspecting female all hell breaks lose and their in it for life, and two anything to do with food these men are all on it, "it's nothing special," she said, watching as Danny tore back the aluminum foil. "It's just a meatloaf dinner." All the men in this series are just funny, "it's really not nice leading guys on, Tinkerbelle," he said in a chiding tone as he climbed off the bed." Jodi has two issues one when given medicine the girl goes bats*** cray cray and two you don't mess with her man she'll get even, "she beat the s*** out of your brothers," Greg clarified with a huge s***-eating grin." This series keeps getting better and better with each book this author puts out, she's on my one-click list.
DOUBLE DARE: Darrin he tends to take things to the extreme, "with a glare, he turned to face his brother. “Just for that, you’re out of the running for position of godfather when she finally starts popping out my precious babies." Marybeth sometimes has to coax her man, "no, that’s an offer to make you a home cooked meal, watch a bad horror movie followed by a night of sex,” she reminded him." She likes to get creative when answering her man, "is this an acceptable answer?” she asked with a teasing smile as she slowly stroked his c***." This book took place the same time Jodi and Danny's did so I saw familiar scenes. I liked this book but I didn't enjoy it as much as the others Darrin just wasnt funny as the others.
3 stars just because of the first book I've been a fan of this series from the first neighbour from hell book. Jason and Haley remain one of my favourite couples. The book in this double was good. I enjoyed it But the second book did my head in. I couldn't stand Marybeth. I spent a lot of the book wishing she would just pull her head out and get over it. She is not the only woman that has happened to, believe me I know, but the back and forward drove me insane. I will read the next book but will take a break before I start it
R.L. Mathewson never disappoints. This book made fall in love with the Bradford men all over again. Funny, emotional and charming as I've come to expect from every book she has written. Every NFH story makes you wish they lived next door to you!!!!
Both stories are hilarious! The love the Bradford's have for each other shows in each story but especially Danny's (The Game Plan). However, the concern for Mary Beth shows in Double Dare too. I've enjoyed all the books in this series.
