Rate this book
It's Christmas Time! A lighthearted look at Christmas, with ideas for easing holiday stress and for spending more meaningful holidays, even when you suspect the Grinch is out to grab your Christmas. Outrageous holiday stress management ideas include "Invoice the doctor for time spent in the waiting room. Probably he won't pay but you'll feel so much better." Elections on holidays planned to perfection that just simply didn't work out as expected like this one: "On the night before Christmas,I awoke to hear something hitting the roof. Hard.
It was definitely not Santa and his reindeerInstead Instead of the prancing and pawing of each little hoof, there was just one big loud repeated thump, alternated
with an even louder Ker-thunk. "It's just the angel," my husband said and rolled over and went back to sleep. . . . . Angel Unaware

Spend this Christmas with award winning broadcaster and columnist, Dorothy Wilhelm. Your days are surely going to be merrier and brighter, and you'll feel better about your purse, too.

A bit short, but I want to read more by Dorothy Wilhelm! The positive vibes from this short anthology brought the Christmas spirit back successfully. She had a story about Thanksgiving, for instance, that really reminded me of a circus experience. A dear friend and neighbor, Rudi Lenz, brought me a freshly caught fish. Well, I, like the character in this story had no more idea of what to do with a live fish, than she had on what to do with a live turkey! It just was a very sweet reminder of what we have in common, in this covid era when we’re all so very much apart.
