Russian Enforcers #3

Russian Enforcer's Feisty Lover

Rate this book
When Broadway actress Dora Liverpool is hired to play the wife of a well-known Russian oligarch, she knows she’s making a mistake. Especially since the oligarch is in actual fact Roman Loginovsky, one of Moscow’s most feared enforcers. But the money is good, and Roman doesn’t take no for an answer.

Spending time with the Mafia soldier, Dora soon discovers there’s more to the mobster than meets the eye, and before long finds herself irresistibly drawn to the dark, enigmatic man.

Roman never intended for this mission to be anything more than just another job. When he hired Dora, he thought she would be a willing pawn in his scheme. But the American actress turns out to be a lot more enticing than he anticipated, and when she shows him around New York City, his fascination deepens, both with the Big Apple, and the feisty young actress.

I was given this for my honest review, this story tells you all about Roman and Dora, their original plan has now backfired and they also become the target so they have to go on the run as well as deal with their emotions for one an other, you get to catch up with the characters from the previous two books and see what is happening with them. This one has a few twists, exciting and has humour, you will be transported as if you were there, Nic Saint's writing is brilliant and you won't be disappointed

Mafia mayhem

Roman and Dora are a couple or so people think. He is looking for a man and she is pretending to be this man's daughter. Running from the Russian mafia. Will they survive?

Resolving that cliffhanger and more hot Russians

Dangerous enforcer for the Russian mob, Roman Loginovsky hires unknown American actress Dora Liverpool to assume another woman's identity and pose as his wife, in order to draw out a top target on his organization's hit list. Now, Roman and Dora are targets themselves, and the more time they spend together, the more their unwanted feelings intensify.

Russian Enforcer's Feisty Lover resolves the previous book's cliffhanger concerning Dimitri and Ariel and revisits Vitaly and Joanna from the first book, Russian Enforcer's Reluctant Bride. All three stories are interrelated and deal with the Russian mob and the Russian mob's sudden interest in forced unions between hot Russian leg breakers and their willful American beauties.

I enjoyed catching up with Vitaly and Joanna and how their relationship has grown. I was very pleased that Joanna is less annoying than she was in her book.

Author Nic Saint's Russian Enforcers Series gets better with each book, and I have fewer criticisms with this one.

That said, my primary complaint is the same. The men need to stop being so tame and be more assertive. More growling, less groveling. They're Russian enforcers, for Pete's sake! Start enforcing, and start with the wife!

My other quibbles are the same as with the previous books. The wife is OK with the enforcer's violence and criminal ways when that's what is keeping her safe, but when the dust settles, her morals kick in.

These books aren't dark and gritty like other organized crime or MC books, so it's a bit unfair to hold this series to the same standards. I just wish these men were a bit rougher around the edges and the women not so unrealistic and hypocritical.

These are nice novellas that are fun to read.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
What an thrilling emotional rollercoaster ride this book was, and I loved it! Nic Saint had me laughing and crying with the same paragraph. This series is exciting, and this instalment certainly falls into that category. Nic has a way of writing that makes you feel like you are there, watching the events unfold before your very eyes. When I read this book, I could even imagine the Russian accent Roman has.
Even though this could be considered a standalone, I highly recommend reading the first two instalments before this one, as the characters from the previous books, Vitaly and Joanna from the first, and Dimitri and Ariel from the second, are highly involved with this one. The plot has a flow like satin, where you can slide along with the story with ease. The characters have it all. They are strong, yet weak, fierce and cold, yet gentle and loving. There are many parts where you will need tissues, yet others where you get a good belly workout from laughing. I hope Nic has more to follow with this series. I truly loved it so far. This is a definite recommend in my books. A must read!

Imagine to Dora Liverpool surprise when in the middle of the night a handsome Russian mafia soldier by the name of Roman Loginovsky shows up at her door wanting her to pretend to be his wife. Dora was a Broadway actress so acting was nothing new to her. What she did not know was the journey it would take her on. I do love the fact that Dora was a strong woman. Just love her personality and spirit.

Roman had this mission all laid out. But what happens when you start to fall in love and feel you want to change who you are? What happens when you have a hit put out on you and the woman you love? The only person Roman could turn to was his brother Dimitri who hated him and for good reason. Will Roman be able to patch things up with his brother? Will him and Dora ever be safe?

This was a great love story which will keep you on the edge of your seat. I received it as an ARC for an honest review. I have not read book one or two and can honestly say I did not have trouble falling along. I would highly recommend this book. You will not be disappointed Nic did an amazing job.

This exceptionally well-written story is the third in the series and portrays the ongoing relationship between Dora and Roman; not only that, we hear further about Nathan, Dimi and Vitaly, characters from the first two books and their involvement with the FBI. Dora and Roman continue their charade as man and wife; Dora is falling in love, but she isn’t sure Roman feels the same way about her. When an internal power struggle among the Gornakovs finds Dora and Roman fighting for their lives, decisions have to be made, one of them confronting Roman’s brother, Dimi. There are a few different twists and turns to keep the reader immersed in the story and I would have no hesitation in recommending this book, or the two previous ones; to my mind all three books are outstanding. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Received an ARC copy from author for a honest review. Totally enjoyed this entertaining quick read. Roman and Dora's story picks up after Ariel and Dimi. Filled with some unexpected twists. Roman figured this mission would be just another job never anticipating betrayal and a change of heart. Definitely holds your attention. Dora regrets taking the acting roll never thinking events would take place the way they do. Despite pretending, the connection and passion between them was real including feelings both are denying. Loved the characters. Dora cracks me up with some of the things that come out of her mouth. Worth reading.

This was a great conclusion to the Russian Enforcers Series by Nic Saint. We met Dora and Roman in book two but in this book we get to see Roman start to understand why his brother risked certain death for love. The mighty Roman has also fallen in love and now he must convince Dora and his brother that he really is in love and wants to change his life.
Not only were these fun characters in this installment, it was also a chance to catch up with the couples from the previous two books. Seeing the former enforcers as dedicated family men was a nice twist considering their former lives.

The reality of Russian mob, their family and the consequences of wanting to live a 'normal' happy and peaceful life have left me yearning to know more. The story of Dora's and Roman's beginning until the running for their lives together and seeking asylum with the American FBI made me want to read more. seeing as how my format gave me 166 pages of reading material, I wanted to read more and especially since it was the third installment of the Russian Enforcers Series, I felt lost a few times. However, the story itself is amazing and heart tugging.

ARC given in exchange for an honest review

I loved this book. I loved reading how it all comes to an end. This is Roman & Dora's story however it also has all the other characters from the first two books. The author just knows how to keep you focused and hooked into her books. Such a great read.

Roman & Dora are still in New York and waiting for Nathan Calloway to make an appearance. Both of them are exploring New York until they have to go on the run. Where can they go to hide and save their life?

A really good book with a lot of action and emotions. The author did a great job.

Dora and Roman are an item now. They are trying to outs Nathan which doesn't work. All the sudden Roman's body guards leave him high and dry. That's when he knows all is about to come to an end. All Dora knows is acting and as a stage hand, she has seen all. But nothing has prepared her for two Russian mobsters gangs gunning for her and "her" husband. Will she and Roman ever get out alive or will they be found in a gutter somewhere down the street.

Dora meets Roman when he shows up at her apartment in the middle of the night. He wants her to marry him and pose as another woman. Since Dora is a poor actress and Roman will pay her, she reluctantly agrees. Being married to a Russian mob enforcer can be a dangerous thing. She falls in love with Roman, but soon finds herself alone in a safehouse with no idea where Roman is, or if he will return. Loved this book.

The last in the Russian Enforcer series and I could not put it down. The storyline is great and the characters intense. People from previous books resurface and add to this interesting story full of suspense and fear as Dora and Roman try to stay ahead of the mob and find their happily ever after. Loved this series!

This is the 3rd book in the Russian Enforcers Series and I recommend reading the series in order. Dora Liverpool is a poor Broadway actress that is being paid to pretend to be someone else and be married to Roman. What happens when she falls for him? Fast paced, sexy and suspenseful a great read!

Fast paced fun.

I liked reading Roman and Dora's story. It was nice to see the big bad Roman fall for the outspoken actress. They are indeed perfect for each other. It was a good ending too, where the plot lines from the previous books were finished up as well. Really enjoyed this series.

A continuation of the ongoing Mafia sage but focuses on Roman and Dora with some updates from earlier couples. Interesting twists were thrown in, Roman is not quite so open as Dimitri. Not quite sure I liked Dora that much, she is a bit spoiled.

Roman goes from being one of Moscow’s most feared enforcers, to an outcast. Dora is the one that has had everything thrust upon her.

If you haven't read one and two, do so. They all have action, love, and leave you wondering what will happen next.

Russian Wise Guys turned Good Guys

So either American women now have this ability to turn the worst of the worst Russian gangster into FBI informants en masse or this series is nonsensical. I'm done. Thank God it was all a free read.
