At least, that’s what he wants me to think. He’s definitely an arrogant player, filthy, and sexy as hell.
And the fact that Noah's father tried to ruin my mom’s life makes things complicated. Our families are practically at war, and his intense dad will do anything to keep him in line.
When I get a job at the brand new campus movie theater, I find myself getting closer to Noah than I ever thought possible. He practically runs the place, and everyone that works there has a story about him. I can’t tell if I hate the sight of his confident smile, or if I want him to do all the dirty things he whispers into my ear in the darkness of the empty theater.
Before, I never wondered what kind of person I am. But with Noah’s camera running, I’ll have to decide what makes someone good or bad before the film runs out.
This title contains mature content (explicit sexual situations and mature language), and is recommended for audiences 18+.
This is my first time reading B.B. Hamel, and I like her writing style. I liked this book, it was a good read. My one and only problem with this book; the reason I didn't rate it higher than a 3.5 stars is all because of the heroine, Linda! She drove me crazy almost the whole book.
What the book is about
Linda is in college , she bumps into this super hot guy , named Noah. Like literally bumped into him and fell on her butt flashing her polka dot panties at him. She has a huge crush on Noah , but he is such a asshole and man whore that she doesn't know why she likes him so much. Sometimes she thinks there might be more to him, and that under it all he is a good guy at heart. Add the fact that her mother and his father hate each other , there is just no way they can be together, Right?
I loved Noah. I failed to see how he was an asshole at any point in the book. A manwhore, yes, Troubled yes, an asshole, nope! Noah had some daddy issues, and he partied and slept around as his way of dealing (all before he met Linda). He is cocky, playful and sexy. When Noah meets Linda he goes out of his way to get to know her, and he doesn't try to rush her to sleep with him before she is ready. He is honest with her and open. Noah saved the book for me .
Linda annoyed the piss outta me! I found her super immature, judgmental, and at times she was the asshole. She whined almost the whole book about what an asshole and jerk Noah was. Why? Because he called her Polka dots. I thought that was cute. She was the one who listened to all the rumors about him, jumped to conclusions about who he was and judged him without getting to know the real him. She goes off on him a few time, blows him off saying she will go on a date with him and then runs home without telling him why or bye for no good reason, and acts like the jerk she accuses him of being!
Linda did grow up a little towards the end. Even with me feeling no connection to Linda and disliking her, this book was still a good solid 3.5 stars. The plot was cute, Noah was super sexy, and when Linda and Noah got together it was smokin' hot! I would still Recommend this book because it was a enjoyable read. I will try other books by this author!

I went into this book with high hopes. The title alone had me, how can I resist an alpha bad boy?! Gosh I LIVE for them! But sadly for me this story fell flat. Linda is a college student who gets a job working at a theater with alpha boy Noah. She has a thing for Noah from the beginning but of course there is the "I don't like him, but he's hot" push and pull. Linda is not my kind of heroine. She acted like a 13 year old girl through most of the story and I just couldn't connect with her on any level.
I liked Noah a lot, but he didn't remind me of a bad boy alpha male. I almost felt like he was a crude, your next door neighbor's little brother, 14 year old who constantly wanted sex. It was a cute story, but one I've read before. I do think it had lots of potential, because I actually enjoyed Noah's POV (there isn't much of it), but the story just lacked substance. With that said, I do think this book would be more enjoyable for the younger crowd.
BB Hamel was kind enough to give me an arc and even though I'm complaining about the characters and the storyline, the writing was still pretty good and I think the best is yet to come from this author.
Ok I did like this book but there was parts I did an didn't the best think in the book was Noah I just luvd him Linda is startin college an bumps into the sexy Noah but she doesnt just bump into him she falls on her ass an show her polka dot panties I have 2 say I did laugh lil about this she ended up have a huge crush on Noah an how wouldn't Linda ended up seein Noah a lot she saw him in her class where his lil nickname started polka dot or dots an Linda totally hated it then it got worst when Linda started her job at the theatre where Noah happened 2 work u could tell Noah really liked Linda an Linda still had a crush on Noah but Linda had listened 2 rumours about Noah an didn't know if she wanted something 2 do with him there was a lil hick up that Linda had found was that Linda's mum an Noah's dad have a huge feud that happened yrs ago Noah's dad is a big ass an wrecked Linda's mum's career beacause she wrote an honest review which made things very hard 4 there family I luv 2 kick his ass Noah I did really like he is a great character Linda I did find a lil annoyin at time she just kept goin around on circles about what she wanted from Noah an listened 2 the rumours instead of thinkin 4 herself yes Noah is a manwhore but I don't think he was an ass Ye sometime he would do stupid thinks but come on he's a man who asnt been in a relationship b4 so I think Linda could of give him a break an the there was the annoyin thing what she just kept goin on about bein called dots or polka dot which I thought was cute Theres a lot of sexual tension between these 2 an when they did get it on the sexy time was hot they were so good 2gether u could see how much they wanted each other but the feud with there parents was hard 2 fight Overall I did like this story I just think it's ended very fast I think the endin with Noah an has dad could of been better an then I found a few parts of the story that could of been longer explained a lil better but the story was good an I did enjoy readin it :) xxx
Arc kindly provided by author, in return for an honest review.
This being my first Arc, I was super excited. Sadly, my excitement was short lived and I skimmed 80% of the book. I am sure lightening will strike down on me when I am finished.
Book Cover - 4 Stars...Hot image of Noah
Heroine - 1 Star.....Linda drove me nuts....she was a college girl that was naive and reminded me of a 13 year old.....wait....my daughter is 13 and she is way more mature and so NOT Linda...thank God!!!
Hero - 3.5 Stars - I really liked Noah. The story did no justice for him. He was "supposed" to be this badass alpha male. Sorry...not even close. He was better portrayed as a 15 year old boy going thru puberty and is horny all the time, swears a lot....which doesn't bother me....but he just sounded juvenile.
Storyline - 2 Stars.....There was so much potential for a good story but there was too much emphasis on description details that didn't matter to the character build up or lack their of.
I thought the story would be more about Noah, but it was more from Linda's POV.....like 95% her!! It was all....Noah is an asshole....Noah is so hot.....Noah lied to me.....I want Noah to fuck me from behind.....I will never trust Noah again.....Oh I love that idiot. Honestly.......I wanted to throat punch Linda and shove her into the popcorn machine.
The best part of the books was Noah's POV.....which was a whisper. We hardly know anything about Noah....even though we were told repeatedly how bad he was. The little glimpses of cussing and pot smoking hardly make him "badass". He was actually kind of sweet. Especially his nickname for Linda....loved that!!
The few sex scenes would have been hot, if Linda would not have been there. Poor Noah!!! Silly boy should have found more closets to smoke pot in and hide from Linda.
There was no alpha dominating sexy at all....that truly saddened me!!
I guess when you average my stars......this book falls as 2.5 High School Drama Stars
Thank you BB Hamel for the offer to read this. Good luck to you! Please don't hate me as this is just my opinion. I really wanted to love this.
I was given this book in return for an honest review.
This was another example of a great coming of age story. It was also a fantastic example of why I disagree with Shakespeare (and even the bible). I am a firm believer that the sins of the father should NEVER be visited upon the son. We are not our parents. We make our own choices, mistakes, triumphs, and successes. We can learn from their mistakes, but they never define who we are as individuals. This storyline was a perfect example of just that. It was very well written. The characters were great and their interactions were on point. I wish it wasn't over. I want to know the next chapters (or scenes) in each of their journeys.
I started off absolutely hating Linda. She was wishy washy about Noah, jumped to conclusions, and even treated Noah kind of badly. She kept calling him an asshole, but truly, she was the asshole with her actions. Thankfully, towards the end I liked her more.
Noah on the other hand was amazing. Yes, he had a reputation and ran hot and cold, but when you learn why, you understand the reasoning. When he was on, he was playful and sweet.
An Arc copy of " Filmed" was provided by the author for an honest review.
I found "Filmed " to be an intresting read but I will say that I did not really find the subject of Linda's enfactuation " Noah " to be the a..hole, he supposedly was with the exception for one scene. However, I am getting ahead of myself.
Linda is starting college and decides go to the new movie theater on campus with her girlfreind and winds up running into Noah Cartersen, nor like falling on her rear after walking into him, giving him a nice view of her polka dot undies; embarrassed and a bit flummoxed she sits staring at Noah in all his glory, because really he is just to handsome for his own good. Noah helps her up and she earns her nickname of " dots" .
Over the next few days all Linda can do is think about Noah and finds that she shares a class with him, she does no want to be attracted to him. She should stay far away from him, he s handsome, a player and comes from money, but when Noah takes an intrest in her avoiding Noah becomes harder , worse is that she feels he should not be paying any attention to her, but what she does not realize is that even though Noah has a reputation as a player, he's truly in her more seriously than wha she thinks. So when Linda seeks out employment at the movie theater and comes to discover that Noah works there and of course why wouldn't his father ( a Hollywood producer) donated the new theater t the college, she winds up working closely with him. Linda is close with her mom who is a professor a the University of Pittsburgh and a former movie reviewer for the NY Times, Linda starts talking about Noah with her mother hoping to see if her mother can give her any insight and discovers that her mother and Noah's father have a longstanding conflict since she worked at the Times. Linda, then perceives the conflict their parents had to be more of an issue than it is. Noah and Linda start to see each other but then all of a sudden Noah cuts her off totally, his one asshole moment. Noah's dad on te other hand is the player, the asshole and is the reason why Noah winds up cutting Linda out of his life, do to threats his father makes. After a few months These two eventually work through things and it is an Intresting trip getting there. I liked Noah but Linda did grate on me at times, her poor self esteem, her automatically assuming things about Noah based on what she heard about his past, communication was an issue for these two. But when these two do get together, things are pretty hot and pretty good.
Very much a teen drama type story Lots of angst and drama.
On one side it was unique. I always enjoy books where the characters share a passion for something (music, art, sports, photography, children). It cements them and makes their bond so much stronger. I loved all the details about the equipment and what all goes into making a movie. I LOVED the format (Opening Credits/Intermission/Closing Credits), it was so cute.
On the other side Linda was annoying. She had an exorbitant amount of anxiety, was the definition of indecisive, and very self righteous. She often made an ass of herself assuming things about Noah. I think this book could have been 5 stars if we was entirely from his perspective.
The only reason I finished this was because I was asked for a review. The story is basically a continuing rant by the heroine, Linda, who NEVER EVER shuts up. She continually talks about everything, mostly about what an asshole Noah is despite the fact that while he has a few moments of being a jerk (what college age boy doesn't?) he is never the asshole she continually portrays him to be. For a college student, she comes across as a whiny 13-year-old, which is never a good thing.
The entire story could have been much shorter and way better if we didn't have to listen to Linda's diatribe against, well, pretty much everything but mostly about what an asshole Noah is. Some dialog and more of a plot than, girl runs into boy, drives everyone insane with constant rehashing of things that mean nothing, then gets boy. Noah was more interesting and getting the story from his point of view would have been a lot more entertaining.
My Rating System: * couldn't finish, ** wouldn't recommend, *** would recommend, **** would read again, ***** have read again.
I was given this book for an honest review. This was an ok read I had one problem Linda I really didn't like her she was annoying and whinny. Noah was a spoiled playboy rich kid the bad boy that I liked a lot. When Linda gets a job at the new movie theater she finds herself getting close to Noah who runs the place, which is bad because his father ruined her mother's career. For me Linda let the things that she heard about Noah cloud her judgment of Noah and I felt that she overreacted at times. This was my first time reading this author this book was very well written with no errors in grammar or spelling and although I didn't like Linda I liked Noah. Overall this was an ok read.
I got given this book for a honest review so here goes.
This book of noah and Linda was a really good read. Linda bangs into noah and thinks she won't see him again until she ends up working with him in his dad's theatre. After a while of working together they both get close and things happen but then noah disappears with no answers of why. After a plan from Linda with help all goes sweetly.
I liked how this book was written with the story from Linda pov but the couple of chapters put in from noah. I would love to no more about the couple though I feel it stopped at a good part but there more I would like to no.
I give myself props for hanging in there till 47%. If I had to read one more line from the most annoying heroine about how her mind was spinning over some random action or detail, I was going to hurl my kindle across the room. Instead I chose option B, which was to find something else to read.
**ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest review**
Linda knows she should not be so attracted to Noah. Sure, he's hot, playful, and comes with a trust fund, but he's also cocky. And a renowned player.
When she gets a job at the new student theater, which was funded by Noah's father, she had no clue she would be working alongside Noah. The more she gets to know him, the more she realizes he's not the person his reputation portrays. He helps his friends. He struggles with family matters. He's just normal.
Linda learns of his father's involvement in causing harm to her mother's beloved career years ago. Then, Noah's father threatens to take away his trust fund. Both of those things affect their developing relationship. The question is...does he care for her enough to stick with her?
Ya know, I just have to mention that when the phrase "in West Philadelphia" came up in the book, I couldn't stop myself from singing the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song. OK, now that that's out of the way, I laughed out loud at this book more than once. I really enjoyed Noah's teasing ways, and his nickname for Linda was just cute. Although, the reason for that nickname wouldn't be described, by Linda, as cute. More like embarrassing.
Linda was a little too annoying for me. She didn't have a problem being blunt about things until it came to the really important stuff. Then she would just run away and not talk things out. She overreacted and it seemed like a lot of work just for Noah to get to know her. However, we can't expect characters to be perfect, they are based on humans after all.
One of my favorite parts was when Noah explained what his tattoo, Lux Orbis, meant, and what it meant to him. It was a good way to remember an important time in his life.
The storyline is believable (but it really wouldn't matter too much if it wasn't, it is fiction) and Noah was a lot of fun. Recommended to fans of New Adult.
I received a copy of this book for an honest review.
If you are the artsy type this is a good read for you.
Linda aka Dots is a college film student at Temple University. She lives off campus with her friend Chris who wants to be a brain surgeon (relevant nope). Linda can be a bit annoying and not my fave heroine.
Noah - Is the hot rich bad boy. The kicker he is hot and very smart. His father is a movie producer.
Linda bumps into Noah when she goes to visit the school theater. Instantly she thinks he is hot and arrogant. Although he is arrogant, she can't stop thinking about him. She slightly web stalks him, with no luck..Until her friends Chris gives tells her all about Noah.
Noah and Linda end having class and eventually the two of the hit it off. That's all I am going to tell, b/c I don't want to give any spoilers. There is some banter but just not the right kind and there is some drama (just the right amount, until the end). There are some sex scenes, Linda just seems awkward to me
Rating Noah 4.5 stars - was hot and a great hero Linda 1. stars - was just not the type of heroine that I enjoy, she talked to much and appears strong willed but just lacking. I'm sorry if I confuse you.
Story 3 stars- I wasn't on my toes, waiting to read what happens next but I did enjoy the book.
Author 4 stars - I think the author writes well and just a lot of competition out there. 2 years ago I would have given this a higher rating.
It's taken me a couple days to write a review as it's hard to determine where I stand. I'd rate it a little under 3 stars as I didn't like it BUT it's not a horrible book either.
I would classify it as YA written for YA, which might have been my problem as I'm not a YA.
Overdone is the word that comes to mind to describe Filmed: The first half of the book was overly dramatic, where the MC Linda had a MAJOR issue with everything and created issues where there wasn't any. Her internal dialogue was never-ending and quite frankly I thought she needed a valium or 2. Also, the history of the parents was a weak storyline to carry the entire book.
The second half of the book was over simplification. Linda was able to roll with the flow which seemed a huge transition from the first half and the resolution with Noah's father was over the top silly and came out of nowhere!
I think the story had potential but it seemed juvenile and undeveloped. I assumed the MCs were both 18 and I skimmed in some places to finish the book.
I was asked to review this book , so here it is......
Noah and Linda, two college students who have similar interests meet and fall in love. Linda is focused and driven and Noah gives the impression of a young free wild card, when really he has been through some tough times. I liked that they shared a love of film.
I liked Noah, he was fun, caring, brights and mature. Linda in the otherhand drive me crazy, she annoyed the hell out if me. She contantky tribes about everything, including Noah so I didn't really understand the attraction. She was very self absorbed and I ended up skipping a lot if her internal monologue as it both bored and frustrated me.
I didn't have a clear image in my head of Linda, but going off her personality alone I was left wondering what her appeal was, frankly she was a bitch to Noah and very judgemental without even knowing him. When her mum was clearly affected by events with Noah's dad she wasn't supportive and I felt like she made the whole thing about her, we were never told the whole truth and I felt it left the story hanging.
Arc kindly provided to me by the author for an honest review. Linda is a straight forward girl who is a student she then comes into contact with Noah. How they first met was comical. Noah has the reputation of being a playboy. However when it comes to Linda he's a softie. I enjoyed their chemistry. The character development way we'll done and realistic. These two went through many trials and hurdles but they were able to overcome them and find their HEA. The plot and storyline were great and the characters were relatable. I look forward to reading more of this author's work!
I was very kindly provided with an ARC of Filmed by the author to read and review.
Noah and Linda are our 'Romeo and Juliet' of the book. Warring families aside, this was an incredibly touching story of two very likeable, relatable human beings full of the insecurities and weaknesses that all of possess. After a very literal bumpy first encounter for this hapless couple, their highly funny mutual attraction and friendship ensues and was an utter delight to read as they go from strangers to friends to lovers.
I found Linda to be incredibly relatable. I'm not sure that everyone has such an overactive internal dialogue but as a long term sufferer myself it made me fall in love with Linda's voice as you heard every little thought and feeling that ran through her mind. She could easily over react and over think many situations but it's nothing that so many of us aren't also guilty of. From her impulsive streak to her polka dot underwear there wasn't a thing unappealing about her.
Every once in a while, when his guard was down, Noah gave me a glimpse into the person he might actually be. They were small moments, spread far apart, but they were there and they were important. I was pissed at him, but I didn’t hate him. I knew there was something more going on, but I was getting tired of having to work to strip off the extra layers of narrative and image to get at the core of him.
I had no idea what to expect from him. I felt like I was meeting a new version of him every single time I saw him. I loved it, I realized. He was like a film with multiple endings, each equally interesting.
Noah was absolutely fantastic as a character. Hilarious, charming, over flowing with sexual innuendos but also with such a dash of sadness and humility. He could go from one emotion to another in the blink of an eye but he always held such an air of realism, of pain and such a resignation about himself that his switching from loveable self assured ladies man to the shy closed off self conscience boy made him irresistible.
You can cast your net as wide as you want, you can look as far as possible, you can create the largest pool of people possible, but in the end you’re always stuck with those you’re closest to. You don’t always get to choose who that is, and sometimes they sneak up on you and appear in the frame. Regardless of what happens, you just keep coming back, you keep getting put into the same bit role and you love it because that’s who you are. You’re not acting when you’re playing yourself.
This was as another complete winner from B.B. Hamel that I devoured from start to finish in one sitting, only stopping occasionally to top up the mug of tea in front of me. At around two hundred pages in total, I couldn't believe how quickly the book flew by or how easily it sucked me in but both Linda and Noah were so easy to fall for and care about. For being shelved as another new adult book it also had so many little neat twists and turns that it became something so much more at the same time, a genuine breath of fresh air. The struggles and addictions were all handled superbly with care and knowledge and I love a book that incorporates the daft and funny things we can all get up to online with such a laugh aloud at yourself moment. B.B. Hamel as produced yet another fantastic book that is full of laughs, loves, sadness and happiness. A perfect blend of everything makes this an absolute joy to read and easy to lose yourself between the pages. I thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for an easy romantic read but with plenty of substance and enjoyability. Because this differs so much from what B.B. Hamel has released before I can't wait to see what she dreams up next, thank you so much to her for giving me a copy of this to read.
2.5 stars. I've never met a character in a book I hated more than Linda. She was judgemental, bitchy, a little aggressive at times and a whiny asshole. She constantly jumped to conclusions and barely ever made a decisiono based on her own logical thoughts it was always based off rumours and crazy assumptions.
She dubs Noah an asshole for teasing her with the nickname Dots. Which other than her being embarrassed, it's cruel of herself for doing that. She thinks like a high schooler, and her friends enable her childish behaviour when they agree with her, even when sometimes stick up for Noah. If it was my friend is be like 'you're acting crazy'.
Seriously though, she spends literally a few hours with him hanging out, mostly working or in class, barely talking, and she acts like some crazed lover! She knows he's slept around so she see's him with a girl and everytime she's around its 'stripper barbie' or calling her a whore! Calm down buttercup and think rationally. I hate when girls get possessive of people they don't know.
I also didn't like that Linda didn't like Noah for who he was. There was literally a point where she said she saw someone else in his eyes that it was basically all an act and his asshole tendencies weren't him and she wouldn't settle for that person or give him a break like everyone else. Last time I checked, he makes his own decisions and that makes him who he is. She saw him, thought he was hot and make up a perfect ken doll in her thoughts and expected him to comply.
I wish there were more of Noah's POV, it would have been much better not having Linda always in your face. I really did hate her, and she shows no growth. Thankfully Noah does. But at points I felt the plot wasn't going anywhere and struggled to find where the story was going. It ended okay, Noah was loved, but I wish instead of how it ended with his father, that his father actually changed instead, cod that guys a douche.
Ah well. I'm thankful the writing style wasn't shite, it was well written, I think my hatred for Linda clouded a lot to be honest.
We have been kindly provided an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review. We decided to jointly review this book.
2 1/2 stars!!
J- This book is set around the film industry, hence the name, and we get the story of a mutual connection between two people whose paths intertwined through familial connections. Noah, is the typical bad boy, he plays around and seems to only care about himself. Linda, she is much quieter but instantly attracted to Noah even though she doesn't want to be.
R- When I first started this book I was excited to see the opening prologue in Noah's Pov so I thought it was a dual Pov book, was pretty disappointed to see that Noah only had his say 3 times.
I found it really had to get into, for me there was too much of Linda's inner dialogue. Linda for
J- Yes R, I felt a bit like that at times too. I really wanted to hear more from Noah, I couldn't quite understand how he was such a player in the prologue but wanted Linda so much in the story. I wanted to know how he changed to a one woman man!
Linda, was very back and forth on whether she wanted him or not and I just couldn't connect well with her.
R- I agree I felt like there was a lot missing from the story and I just couldn't connect with it at all. I couldn't understand how Noah could want Linda so much yet she was a complete b!tch to him.
For me this book was a 2 1/2 stars, I would have loved to have heard more from Noah and if Linda wasn't such a b!tch I think I could have actually liked her!
J- I know exactly what you mean! I think if you're after a summer beach read then this could book could be for you. It's something you could pick up and come back too pretty easily. We are grateful for the chance to review it!
Well, if the cover alone doesn’t make you want to pick up this book and read it, then maybe this will. Film student Linda Lewis literally runs into Noah Carlerson one day. He’s handsome, confident, sexy, arrogent and a huge asshole and Linda can’t seem to stay away from him. They have the same major at Temple University and both work at the campus theater. Noah seems to have set his sights on Linda, but she’s heard the rumors, he’s a man-whore and if that weren’t bad enough, his father ruined her mother’s life years ago.
There was just something about this book that I could not put it down. It played out as a bit of a mystery (I hadn’t read the blurb, so I didn’t know what the rift between the families was). So that was a hook that had me, trying to figure out what could have possibly happened and even when we find out, I thought there might be more. I love the fact that it takes place in Philadelphia, as I live right outside of the city so I know the streets and areas mentioned in the book. Also, Noah is complex, hot and cold as he tries to balance the person he has been told he is, with the person others see him as. Who is the real Noah?
Linda is interesting. I don’t want to like her because she believes the rumors about Noah, but honestly I think if I was in her place, I might be leery as well. She has a hard time trusting her instincts when it comes to him, but when his situation becomes dire, she puts her feelings aside and tries to help him. I give this book 4 stars. I enjoyed it and it was a good read.
ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest review.
I'm not sure how to review this... The first half of the book was hard to get thru. The heroine, Linda was VERY annoying. She kept getting over emotional, dramatic, analyzing and getting worked up over absolutely nothing. I thought in the beginning that we were going to get Noah's POV throughout the book, but that only happened in the beginning and towards the very end. I definitely think the story would have turned out a lot better had we had both POV's throughout the entire book. Perhaps Linda's ranting and getting worked up over minimal things would've been cut in half. She was just so over dramatic, and obsessed over such small issues TOO much. It's hard to over look, since it took up so much of the story line. Noah has the potential to be a great book boyfriend, the sex scenes were well written, and his bad boy/good boy image worked for him. We just didn't get enough of his story from his POV, besides the small snips we got here and there. What did he see in Linda? What made him fall hard for her, when he was such a player before? The ending was kinda different, and not what I expected. I know the story wouldn't end with Noah's dad accepting their relationship. It seems like the ending was just thrown in there to finish the story with no cliffhangers.
"Noah Carterson is a bad person. " no really he's not but Linda on the other hand...man she just got on my nerves. I really don't know what it was about her character that I just didn't like, well, I guess that's not really true, there were a few things that I didn't like, she was annoying, always whining and very quick to jump to conclusions without knowing the entire story, just very irritating. I tried, I really tried to like her but I just didn't. Noah on the other hand, he was always given crap, he was the playboy, the movie producers son, the wealthy - spoiled rich kid, while in some ways that is all true he is much more and it seemed that most people didn't want to find out what he was really like except for a select few. There were only three chapters in Noah's point of view and I really wish there was more because he was the true heart of the story.
I really wish I had a better experience with this book, that being said, it will not put me off from reading other books by B.B. Hamel. I actually look forward to it.
It has taken me three days to try and figure what to write for this review. Even now I'm not 100% sure on how I feel about the book. So I am giving it 3 stars.
It's true there were parts of the book I liked. Then there were parts I was like "I'm so over it."
I really liked Noah and I enjoyed seeing how he grew in the story. He was who he was and he didn't apologize for it. He did what he wanted, and I really liked that about him. Now Linda on the other hand, I wasn't too keen on her. Especially the whole, "I love him. I hate him", throughout the book. She heard rumours about Noah and it was like that was fact. She didn't talk to him, just judged everything he did, say or didn't. She seemed quite immature for someone in college. I think ones Linda heard about the troubles between her mum and Noah's dad, Linda started basing things Noah did on what his dad did. Which is wrong. Though I am glad she got over that by the end of the book and they were able to have a proper relationship without all the problems holding them back.
So even though there a few things that didn't sit right with me, I would definitely read another book by B.B Hamel.
This book is a little different than most books I read (modern and not supernatural); that being said, I would recommend it, but for Adults only. It contains adult content.
This book started out a little different for me, and was a little slow. But this book began to get really good about 1/4 they way through. I feel the book could have gotten 5 stars if there was a little more from Noah's prospective. I think I enjoyed his parts better than Linda's. I understand why Linda was always calling Noah an A-Hole; however, maybe it was a little over done (calling him an a-hole while sleeping with him, I just really did not care for that part(s).)
I did like the The relationship that developed between Noah and Linda about 3/4 of the way through of the book and I enjoyed the ending, and I like how the author showed how people can change and stand up for themselves, and how showing support to the people you love can help them more than you might know.
Okay, so i liked "Filmed" and found it to be an interesting read. It took me a couple of chapters to get into it, but after that i totally fell in love with Noah!
Noah is thought to be an a**hole by Linda, which i didn't quite agree with, yeah he was a dick a couple of times but i wouldn't label him as an a**hole...I love him and i loved the way he liked to tease and wind up Linda.
Linda...She kind of annoyed me, she couldn't decide how she felt about Noah and it was pretty damn annoying haha but i grew to love her towards the end too ;)
i quite liked the ending but i would have liked to hear more about Noah's father and why he is the way he is even after all these years, it also would have been cool to have an epilogue of maybe a couple of years later ;)
This was my first book from this author and I enjoyed it. Two college students with a passion for movies meet and are attracted to each other. Noah the player, but also a good man who loves to help others, intriguing and sexy, rich, cocky and trying to live is life but always having his famous father shadowing him. Linda a girl who wants to save Noah but is blunt and judgmental... I didn't like her much in the beginning, then to the end she kind of grew and become less annoying! The story have some hot scenes, I loved the way Noah kept calling Linda Dot's and I hated the way Linda didn't like it at all! Well its a pet name, and one only they know about it! Whats wrong with that? I believe their love story could be more developed towards the end, because when we start to have them together, puff, end of story...
