Romeo and Juliet had it easier. They came from warring families who clearly drew a line for them not to cross. It wasn’t the same with Easton and Georgia. They came from a town where a family was precious and moments were cherished. Still, there were unspoken rules, such as not falling for your best friends kid sister—or testing troubled hearts. The losses Easton and Georgia endured at a young age tossed them down separate paths, far from the sleepy town they both had roots within. Now, broken roads and bad decisions were the demons in their pasts—choices that would either draw them together, or rip them apart when chance landed them face to face once more. Friction is a companion novel to Impulsion. Both novels can be read as stand alone. A New Adult/ Young Adult Contemporary Romance This book is considered Upper Young Adult / New Adult Romance due to mature content.

Here is my huge, big, fat secret. Well not really, but anyway…even though Friction is my second New Adult Contemporary release it was the first I wrote! Therefore, I feel like Easton and Georgia will always have their own special place in my heart. They forced me to step out of my comfort zone of young adult paranormal and test the boundaries of passion between lovers. Without them I don’t know that Wyatt & Harley’s story would have found its way to the stage (Impulsion) AND I seriously doubt I would have returned to the paranormal world confident enough to write an adult paranormal MC series(EDGE).

In a way…they are my roots!!

I hope you love them as much as I do. #EastonandGerogia #Station32

I confess at the beginning I wasn't into it. I usually don't like when someone else is telling the story. I love when the characters is telling us their own story. I like to know what is on their mind. But the book was so good and got to me and I forgot about that and started to enjoy it.

FRICTION is a beautiful romance. I liked that it wasn't an instant love, but an instant attraction. Easton and Georgia knew each other since they were kids, they had a moment but Georgia left the city to live with her mother, leaving her brother Memphis and Easton behind. When a sad thing happens, she come back and the attraction is stronger than ever. I felt that scene was so innocent and so well described, I believed they couldn't do anything but kiss. I felt their passion in Jamie's words.

Both of them had a past that hunted them and they gotta make choices and get through it to try to be together.

I loved the way the love and drama was balanced. Not much sex scenes but enough to create a beautiful romance. I felt connected to the characters. I already miss them!!!

This books is part of the STATION 32 series. IMPULSION is the first one and is about Wyatt, Easton's friend, and Harley. All the characters are back in FRICTION and I loved Menphis and Truman. I hope they get a book too.

Friction is the second installment in the Station 32 series and I am loving this series more and more.

"...Nothing rocks him, but somehow you give him friction, make him lost the controlled balance he always has."

The title of this book is so perfect is so many different ways. Falling for your best friend's sister. Two people fighting something they both want. Lovers from the past haunting the present.

Easton was dealt a bad hand in his life. But he had great friends and family help him through it. It's when the one man who kept him grounded is ripped from his life that really jolts Easton.

Georgia moved away when her parents split but she visited her dad and brother often. When her father is torn from her the day she chooses to move back with him, Georgia does what she's knows best - she runs.

"No matter how broken the road is, they all lead you to where you're meant to be."

However, that one night that Easton and Georgia shared on the river the night before her father was laid to rest, neither of them can forget. They say time heals all wounds. But what if you those feelings just never go away??

This story spans over years and their lives change. But when Georgia returns to her hometown for a wedding, can she escape the one place she says has nothing for her?

"The frist instinct is made with the heart, the second is with your mind - your heart knows no fear. Without fear - you're invicible. Always be invicible"

I love all the different twists and turns in this story. Just when you think things are going to go a certain way, Jamie throws in another plot twist! I truly did not see the ending coming - very well done Jamie.

Jamie has definitely matured in her writing (meaning she just gets better and better with each book) and I am looking forward to the next installment in this series!!

Friction was so unbelievably good! I adored it. The appeal for me rested in its sweetness and fiesty love match. Georgia and Easton had that zing thing, that passion and chemistry that completely stood the test of time. The way they came together initially and the way that they reconnected at the place of their new beginning sparked. These characters were so similar and yet so different, but it all worked so well.

I loved the sprinkling of wisdom presented throughout this book. The wisdom came from Lucas, but it also came from others. The author hid little one liners and phrases in plain sight, and it made for good reading. Also, I truly liked the characters in this town. The way they rallied and supported each other was beautiful. And the boys of Station 32, I am totally captivated by them all.

It was great to see Harley, Wyatt, Truman, and Memphis make such big appearances in this story. Even Ava was mentioned in passing. I loved Grace and Cynthia's roles, and tiny, little Haven stole my heart right away.

Book 2 in this series was just as engaging as book 1, and I can assuredly say that these two stories certainly grabbed my attention and convinced me to commit to reading the entire Station 32 series.

Jamie Magee has brought a second book to this Station 32 series that will have you coming back for more…

At least she has me coming back for more.

Book one, IMPULSION, followed Wyatt and his teenaged-into-adulthood love with Harley. Book two, FRICTION, follows Wyatt’s best friend, Easton, as he finally finds his happily ever.

In IMPULSION, we learned a little bit about Easton. We knew that his dad died, and when he did, Easton kind of withdrew into himself. While his father started the teachings of the way of fires, he started to study them more after that. We learned that he became incredibly close to Lucas, Memphis and Georgia’s dad, and when he passed, yet again Easton’s world came crumbling down.

We get a bit more of those years here in FRICTION. What Jamie did incredibly well with both IMPULSION and FRICTION is set the scene. We don’t start immediately in the heart of the whole falling-in-love business (err… well, the setting of the stage is actually where Easton and Georgia’s story starts but shhh). These aren’t quick, we met, we had dinner, we slept together, bam – let’s get married, reads. These are books that lead up to that big moment.

When Easton’s dad died is when he first met Georgia. He hid while everyone celebrated his life, and before he saw her, he felt Georgia coming.

When Lucas dies, while it would seem more appropriate for Easton to be comforting Georgia (the estranged daughter, mind you), again, it is she who comforts him.

These two have always been meant for one another. They sense the other person before the see them; they feel them in a room before they even know the other’s in the same vicinity.

They just don’t ever act on it. Georgia, early on, is scared, and Willowhaven is not her home. She’s not staying. Besides, Easton’s a good looking kid; what would he want to hang out with the purple haired daughter for?

Easton, though, has that whole she’s-my-friend’s-sister thing going on, and he’s not about to lose his friendship with Memphis on top of everything else; and when Lucas dies? He doesn't think that his father figure would have ever chosen him for his daughter. Oh, Easton... so much to learn, boy.

Everything with these two has been parallel over the years, so watching them finally intersect and make a go of it... I absolutely loved their story. There were fears and insecurities, but they worked through it. It took time and it took some unfortunate miscommunication, but these two...

As much as I loved Wyatt and Harley, and was excited to see Wyatt's breaking years in this book, the love I have for Georgia and Easton.... my goodness. This little ready-made-family is just too flipping cute.

4 broken stars.

This is the second book in the Station 32 series. This book was a mix of anger and love and overall the results of making bad decision thinking thing would be better that way. That doesn’t mean the decisions couldn’t lead to something good.

I really liked the book.

Easton Ballantine is in sorrow. Feeling the pain of losing someone, that played a huge role in his life. And in that moment, Georgia was there for him. Feeling the same loss, but someone in that moment, Easton was more fragile. Georgia, somehow, managed to feel easier with Easton. Easton makes her pain go away, makes it fade, and they spent a good night beside the other giving Georgia hopes that everything would be okay.

And then Easton just crushed it to pieces.

“I tend to attract the broken.”
“I’m not broken,” Easton snapped in a hiss of words.

This is where the book lost me a little. It was like a, “OMG I LOVED THAT” moment, and then there was the reminder that even when Easton had a rough life, but had good friend and family to move forward, he still had trust issues with Georgia. I understand why, I just think they both were so perfectly imperfect, that for me there was no reason of why he should feel like that, and more with Georgia’s actions. Yeah, she have some fear as well, this is risky and new to both of them!! And like people say, sometimes actions speak more than words.

And her brother was A.W.E.S.O.M.E

“Friction is good?”
“Makes fire,” he said with wink.

However, I loved the fact that they weren’t perfect. A little messy. They were normal people, no totally alpha male I-do-everything-right (even when I loved them). But I like that they felt real, the struggle and the twist the story kept revealing were awesome. Totally unexpected, especially the end. And I think it was one of my favorite parts of the whole book!!

But after all, can they put their fears aside? Their feelings would make the move forward or backwards? Can they take a chance, and just enjoy the friction between them?

If you want to know, then you gotta read it. (:

Georgia, that girl is a hoot, "she turned sharply to her side. “You want to tell me what the hell is wrong with men? I mean, are there no standards? Or do you just say, ‘Hey, that looks like a fun orgasm,’ and sink right in— then have the nerve to act like it’s not your fault ? What exactly goes on in y’all’s heads in the first place— and I’m talking about the one on your shoulders, the one that you shouldtry to think with once in a while." Easton he tries he really does, "I want to take you out, like a real dinner. Not a pub or wedding,” Easton said." He's protective of his woman, "too strides later, he was there pulling Georgia back and slugging the a** dead in the jaw." I enjoyed this book a lot.

This series is great!! I really hope that it continues on because these characters are freaking wonderful! Easton and Georgia’s connection was fantastic and sweet and I just loved it! Their connection started when they were little and throughout all the years apart and all the hardships they went through alone, it did nothing but end up bringing them closer together in the end.
description

Georgia is in a rut. Being taken advantaged of over and over again has made her life a living hell. But when a humiliation comes as a blessing in disguise she jumps on it and turns her life into the life that she has always wanted. When she is called back the little town of Willowhaven for a wedding she is equal parts dreading and anticipating interacting with the only boy who made her heart fly but who also shot it down. Can she overcome her past and put down the roots her father told her so much about. Can she do it with the one person who always saw past her walls or will her past over take her and make her turn her back on everything she worked so hard to have.

Easton is has been dealt a hard hand. Losing his father at a young age had him erecting one wall after another. Then shortly after he enters young adulthood, another tragedy befalls him. The only saving grace he had, in the both times his world stopped, was the one girl who made him feel alive. But she was elusive as smoke and he let her go. After he gets dealt a hand that changes his life forever, his beautiful elusive girl blows back into town. He is ready now more than ever to go after what he wants. But will his past creep up and steal away his chance for his happily ever after?
description

This story was great and filled with crazy exs and the wisdom of putting down roots. I loved Georgia’s brother, Memphis, and I cannot wait until he gets his own story!! He was so chill and happy for Easton and Georgia to be together. I also liked that the crazy ex wasn’t limited to only one main character. Both, Easton and Georgia, had bat shit crazy exs and I’m glad that they both handled their pasts and were able to look towards the future.

This novel had everything. The plot was right on point. The curb appeal, aka the cover and blurb, were amazing and definitely pulled me in. And that last chapter...holy shit! It made me cry and smile and laugh, it was freaking fantastic!!!

Ultimately this series is getting better and better! All the characters in this novel were wonderful and it gave me super feels!! I really hope that we keep getting introduced to amazing characters and crazy story lines. If you’re in the mood for an angsty, but amazingly sweet, new adult romance please come and find out why Friction is the good kind of burn! ;)

I am loving this series, this is the second book in the Station 32 series the first is Wyatt and Harleys story and this is the story of Easton who we met in the first book. Easton was a wonderful friend but always seemed quite a sad character having lost his father as a child he seemed to be drifting through his teenage years though Wyatt’s Dad along with Lucas Armstrong, Memphis and Georgia’s Dad, were on hand to try and guide him as best they could. So it was sad to see at the beginning of his story that he loses another father figure in Lucas.

We learn that Easton and Georgia had a connection as children which is soon ignited once again as they come back to Willowhaven to attend Lucas’ funeral. However Easton is too loyal a friend to risk starting anything with his friend’s younger sister yet the both find comfort and understanding of their grief in each other which is short lived as Easton heads back out to his life on the road as his commitment to Wyatt chasing the rodeos and Georgia goes back to her broken life with her drifter Mom. I loved this part of the book it was so bitter sweet and I really wanted the two of them to just be happy from that moment.

Three years on we find both Easton and Georgia didn’t find their way back to each other and their lives have been more than chaotic, however Georgia’s career as a photographer brings her back to Willowhaven to capture the wedding of Wyatt and Harley and pretty soon matchmakers step in. The title of this book becomes apparent as they friction between Easton, who is now home and following his father’s career at Station 32, and Georgia is electric. They are both completely different people now after being hurt by harboured feelings for each other and the people they allowed into their lives. Easton has a huge secret that he tries to keep from Georgia while others are at play in letting Georgia in unwittingly on his secret.

Georgia realises that the thing in life she has both been chasing and running from may just lie in Willowhaven and with pushing from Memphis she takes time to take stock of her life as the town stirs memories of her father and childhood. Easton’s guarded attitude pushes Georgia into concentrating on finding herself first and discovering if Willowhaven is a place she can finally call home. The dreaded misunderstandings come into play every time you think these two may find some even ground then just as they do both of their pasts come back to haunt them. Once they confront their pasts they learn that their lives have been twisted together for some time but can they now move forward together?

I loved the messages and guidance that run through the book in the memories that they all have of Lucas and how he innocently led both Easton and Georgia through their broken paths to an unknowingly shared dream as a result. It was lovely catching up with many of the characters from the first book and I am really looking forward to Memphis and cheeky Truman getting their own books I hope.

**Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review**

I was completely and utterly entranced with this story. I swooned over Easton -- I mean why can't we have more men in this world like him!!

Easton was the type of guy that went out of his way for everyone and I mean everyone. He fell in love with his best friend's younger sister but he knew she was forbidden.

Georgia lived with her mother but she longed to live and be with her dad and brother but it wasn't an option, she had to live with her mother and she was obligated to do that until she turned 18. When Georgia returned to their small hometown to attend her father's funeral, she and Easton spend some time together and start to feel something for each other, but it's short-lived because she leaves soon after her father's funeral and goes back with her mother.

Years pass and she finally goes back to her hometown but she's broken as can be. But it seems like Easton is just as broken so how would it even work if they're both broken and don't know if they can rekindle their passion and/or even trust that they won't hurt each other in the long run?

Easton decides that she's worth the risk and will show Georgia exactly what he can do for her and show her how much he loves her. Georgia realizes that living without Easton isn't an option and she's willing to give this a try. She's not living in the past or the future, she is just living in the now and see where it takes them. But Easton shows her that there is more to this thing they got going and they can actually look beyond the now.

But in the process of them healing each other and showing each other how much they love one another, their pasts come colliding in and trying to mess with their perfect relationship. Minds get twisted and things get a little out of control, but nothing that Georgia and Easton can't eventually work out.

In the end, will their past eventually leave them alone and let this beautiful couple live the life they were robbed from several years ago? We all know that they were meant to be together no matter the circumstances and what they had to endure to get to where they are now!

This book, I tell ya was good as heck and I just could not find myself to take a break from reading it. The moment I started, I read through it all in one sitting and totally fell in love with Easton so I had to continue reading because I had to find out where this story was going to lead and how it was going to end. Don't get me wrong, at times I would get flustered with Georgia and I wanted to throw a punch at something because she would just get on my nerves from time to time, but from continuing to read and see how much patience Easton had with her and was willing to take it slow for her is what soothed me in the end.

I loved, loved this story and I loved, loved Easton -- he's my new book boyfriend for the moment <3

Nothing goes against the guy code more than falling for your best friends little sister. Especially when she is still in high school. When Georgia "Little Bit" Armstrong loses the most important man in her life she finds comfort in the arms of her older brothers best friend Easton. Georgia's father was like a dad to him, there to help finish raising Easton after he lost his own dad at a young age.

Easton cannot understand the draw he has to Georgia. She is younger and off limits. Yet he can't seem to find the brakes when they spend one night getting a little lost in one another, to soothe the ache, hurt and loss of such an important man in their lives.

Georgia hides behind a mask of dark clothes, purple hair and black makeup. Trying to conceal all the hurt and anger she has in her life. Living with her mother has never been easy and when she gets the chance to run, she does. But she pays for it over the next four years. Hunter, her on again-off again boyfriend seems to try everything he can to bring her world crashing down, waiting for her to bail him out yet again. When Georgia is asked to return home and photograph a family friends wedding she is thrown right back to that night on the river where she and Easton comforted one another. What she doesn't know is that Easton has another woman in his life and when she finds out, all the hurt, anger and loss come crashing back down and she wants to run. Running is what she does best.

Easton has been through enough in his young life. He has one thing that matters more to him than anything else and will go to any length to protect her. Yet he has never let the memory of his night with Georgia on the river slip far from his mind. She is the one person who truly gets him, who truly sees him for the man that he is. Given the chance to make things right, he will fight to regain what that one night gave them and push for more. But when their ex's step back into their lives will they be able to find the strength that they need to overcome the demons of their pasts? Will the small town they live in be enough for both of them to build a life together and call it home? Or will Georgia run again and be lost to Easton forever.

Friction has an awesome secondary cast of characters. We get to see a glympse of Wyatt and Harley again and the amazing Dornan family. Memphis is awesome as Georgia's older brother, not to mention Truman and the rest of the hot firemen of Station 32.

Grab your copy and watch the story of Easton and Georgia unfold. Filled with some twists and turns, hurt, loss, anger, hatred and a whole lot of love, I could not put this one down.

Easton and Georgia have known each other a long time since she is his best friend, Memphis’, little sister. When something tragic happens it brings them together for one night.

It’s now years later and they are seeing each other for the first time…she thinks he doesn’t remember her and he thinks she wants nothing to do with him.

“I’m working, not socializing,” she said as she started to close down her tablet. Hoping the pub was loud enough that he couldn’t hear just how unsteady her tone really was. “Are you a part of this wedding deal?” she asked, not daring to look up at him.
Did she really not recognize me? Easton thought.

There has been so much tension between these two since Wyatt and Harley’s wedding. We knew something happened to Easton in the past years but never knew what. We finally learn and it’s quite a big deal. Something life changing! It’s crazy how much can happen, good or bad, in just a few years.

"Georgia was speechless, completely stunned that she’d had no idea any of this went down. She knew her brother wasn’t one to air other people’s drama, but Easton was his best friend and this was a hell he endured.
“I’m sorry.”
“For?” Easton snapped.
“Because she hurt you, left you to carry this alone.”

Easton is a firefighter with Station 32. I could never imagine being with someone in that profession and not being worried every time they went out on a call. For Georgia it was even worse because her brother was also a firefighter plus their best friends. That is a lot of people she cares about in danger every day they go to work. Easton knows that this is what he’s supoose to be doing and can’t see himself doing anything else though.

I absolutely LOVED this story! I love the fire house scenes, made me feel like a real brotherhood. You knew any one of them would do anything to help the other. I loved how they both had trust issues and they had to work through them in order to be able to move on from the past. Easton and Georgia made my heart-break for them and then shine when things were going well.

Will they be able to get over their past demons? Will they be able to be happy together? Can they both learn to open up and allow the other to help with the hard things? Will they finally get their HEA ?

5 stars for book 2 in station 32 series which gives the not so subtle reminder that no matter where your travels take you there is no place like home. This story features Easton Ballantine and Georgia Armstrong. Easton has really not had it easy, when he was seven years old his father died on the job as one of Willowhaven's firemen and Easton was instantly embraced by Lucas Armstrong. Years go by and Lucas helps to raise Easton just as he does his own son Memphis with morals and principles based on family. Then the unthinkable happens and the only person that can comfort Easton seems to be Georgia, Lucas' daughter.
Georgia Armstrong is a little girl when she sees Easton hiding in the fire truck during his daddy's funeral and all she can do is hold his hand. Georgia doesn't know if that was the moment she fell in love with him or was it years later when she was seventeen and she once again was comforting Easton at a time when he needed it. Shortly afterwards Georgia decides to leave Willowhaven and the numerous bad decisions and feelings she has behind. Georgia quickly realizes the one man that takes away all of her pain will only ever be Easton. So she settles for poor substitutions that keep her mind occupied and her heart under wraps until a job as a wedding photographer comes up in Willowhaven for her brother's good friend Wyatt. Georgia has no idea what is waiting for her is she goes home, has Easton found his happily ever after? Will she finally realize what her father meant by roots?
I will admit it took me a bit to get "into" this book and then all of a sudden it was like a switch was flipped and I couldn't put it down! Beautifully written with characters that speak to you on such elemental levels. I absolutely loved it :)

This was a deep book full of angst and emotions. It was a heavy read, but completely worth it.

Easton has more than his fair share of baggage. His father died when he was young, in the line of duty as a firefighter. Raised by a single mother and a close family friend, Easton rebels in his teenage years. I loved the story of Easton's rebellious days, though. He wasn’t a bad kid, just a little wild. At heart, he's still a good guy, which made him easy to love.

When his father figure dies, Easton heads back home. He is thrown together with Georgia; they have an instant connection, and it's sweet, and innocent. Easton just isn't ready to accept the lack of conflict, so in typical angst-laden fashion he tells himself that he's no good. She moves on, and starts collecting her own baggage. At times, her decisions made her appear weak, so it took me a little while to really care about her as a character.

It was so touching to read the interactions between Georgia and Easton's family. Cheesy, but so heartwarming and the connection would have seemed like less without it. The relationship between Easton and his group of friends was so intense; I loved the way they seemed like a family unto themselves. And firemen…that equals sexy all on its own!

Watching Georgia grow and become her own strong woman was gratifying. Add in the twists and turns, and I couldn't put this one down. My only complaint is that the points of view switched abruptly, sometimes mid-chapter. I occasionally had to re-read a section before realizing it. Still, it was well worth it. ~ George, 4 stars

Wow, what a sweet, powerful story. This story is full of heartache and powerful emotions. Easton has known Georgiana most of his life. She's his best friend Memphis' little sister. That makes her off limits. Easton has known loss in his lift. When he was 7, his father passed away. Georgiana and Memphis' father stepped up and became a surrogate father to him. The book starts with his passing away and subsequent funeral, where Easton sees 17-year-old Georgiana for the first time in years, as she was living with her mother. They feel the magic, but more time passes as they are out of each other's lives. Now Georgiana is 22, and is coming home to do wedding photography for her friend's wedding. What will happen when she faces Easton after all these years? Can she forgive him for forgetting her and never once calling?

My favorite quotes:

"Not that you care, but there are no answers in that glass."
"Easton is cool and smooth with everything, nothing rocks him, but somehow you give him friction, make him lose the controlled balance he always has.
"Did I ever tell you what my dad told me about fire? He said it was just like a woman. He said it was beautiful, an essence of life--it would give you everything you ever needed or wanted as long as you respected it, and the moment you didn't, it would remind you how powerful it was, even bring you down to ashes."

A heartfelt page turner that will delight! Friction is Easton and Georgia's love story that spans several years and finally happens for them once they are adults. Georgia doesn't ever feel like her roots are in the small town her brother and father love so much and so remains unattached until she comes back and invests in a house as an adult. Easton is rooted in the small town but traveled around quite a bit until a force of nature made him rethink that.

The two have always danced around the lines of attraction and tenderness until it all comes to a head. Easton pushes and then pulls, afraid to allow Georgia in because she could hurt him. The two go back and forth until they find common ground, fall further into one another, and burn each other up. There's tense moments, there's sweet moments, and there's wicked hot moments. The book is damn near perfect and so gets 4.75 stars from me!

LOVE!!!!!!

Man, this is one of my favorite series ever. The first book in this series is like...one of my favorite books of all time. And this book was pretty darn good, too.

Jamie takes you close to the flames with this series. Just when you think your heart is safe, you're dragged back under, but Jamie always let you resurface. This is the kind of heat you don't run from!

Arc provided by Netgalley

I have to admit I was a little put off by the beginning and it was a bit confusing with the sudden changes in points of view, but boy did it redeem itself. The story really picked up and I have to say I enjoyed Georgia and Easton's story.

My Review:

I received an ARC for an honest review and I am honored to read such a very well written romance. And I admired how close the title was from the content of the book. The whole plot was very intriguing. Both characters had their past issues to deal with that they have a hard time letting go and they both have an echt feelings towards everything that is of worth.

The book is definitely a New Adult Romance. Everything about it screams stimulation and gratifying romance. It has thought me so much from beginning til' the end. There were too much instance that were life changing and very inspiring. This book is a must to have on everyone's to-read lists. The story was too far gone from my predictions. I thought this will be one of those book whose conflict were about their families trying to tear them apart but after such an easy confrontation, my expectation left me and I tend over the excitement I was feeling.

Written in an alternating point of view, the book was about Two Hearts that were spifficated because one thought they couldn't be together and the other thought she was rejected the moment he didn't call. Years later, Georgia still tried to block her heartbreak from Easton after the glorious moment they shared the night before her fathers burial and Easton was moving on with his life saving other people from burning their abodes. Now, they both try to explore the kinship they could have had if they hadn't gone their separate ways that day, they both try and overcome their pasts to be a better half of the other and deserve one another.

I had a feeling that Georgia will have the upper hand in the story. She was as naive as they are when they turned seventeen and since then she has only had her heart set on one person, Easton. Easton had a lot of obligation now that he has grown up and got out of the road. His encounters changed him. Literally. He has become more responsible and more driven to get the love he desperately wanted and doubtlessly deserved.

I fell in love with Easton in the book. Albeit, he has his fair share of dumb and gives out too much confusion, I had a soft spot for him. In all honesty, I read the book and thought about it as stand alone and totally separate from the first one and the outcome of my reading was me having a helluva fascination towards Easton. He was understanding and thoughtful and he doesn't want Georgia to feel like he was pressuring her and he wants to have someone to finally settle down with not some one-night stand.

This is the first book that I have ever read from Jamie and I was a bit anxious about reading this book. Especially since it was an ARC cause I didn't know what to expect from her and then the book started gripping me from page to page. I no longer felt nervous, I felt excited about what to come of the characters. I found this book very inspiring and knowledgeable. I learned so much about life in just a 200+ romance book. 5 stars to the author and her wonderful book.

INSIGHTS AFTER READING THE BOOK:

It is important to know where you came from. No matter where you go, your roots will always knock you back to reality. Whether it's a place or a person, your roots will help you overcome the lost feeling you'll encounter on the way to whatever it is that you thrive.

Filled with some twists and turns, hurt, loss, anger, hatred and a whole lot of love, I could not put this one down

Back in Willowhaven after reading Harley and Wyatt's story. Now, we follow Easton and Georgia, both torn by the vagaries of life. First kiss after a devastating news and then nothing for a few years. But fate does things right : Easton the stoic and Georgia the nomad find each other again, for better or for worse...

There was one plot twist that was kind of predictable but other than than, this book was AMAZING !!!

The chemistry between our two protagonists was more than PALPABLE through Jamie's words. From the first scene they had together, you could feel something described as almost supernatural (which made me vaguely think about the other series by Jamie Magee).

The almost subliminal presence of the words and the good advice of Georgia's father, Lucas, was adorable ; you could feel him relive through those who loved him.

Oh ! And (as usual), the wild charm and the gentleman education of the Souther men made me swoooooon like crazy ! (we don't have this kind of men in France ! aha)

I was also delighted to see my favorite horsewoman again, several times : Harley with her deaaaar Wyatt Doran. We also have the pleasure to meet Truman, Camille and obviously Menphis again.

Talking about Memphis : he's the most extraordinary big brother EVER. He's the best with Georgia, he understands her better than anyone else and only wants to see her happy!

The issues Easton and Georgia encountered because of their pasts were really well portrayed by Jamie, their way of thinking was logic for them but not for others. This particularity came from their antecedents and Jamie described it perfectly !

Ultimately, this book is a wonderful love story that shows that even with a painful and turbulent past, everything can settle if you want it, and if you open yourself to others...

Easton has had to deal with so much loss and tragedy in his life, but one of the days that made the greatest impacts is the day a man that played the role of his father died. He snuck away from the crowd to grieve by himself only to be joined and comforted by one of the few people who should be in more pain than him. That was the night he realized how much Georgia is worth and would stick with him for years before he had another chance with her. In his eyes she is all he could ever want and need now he just needs to convince her that he has changed over the last few years and that all he needs is her.

Georgia went down a dark rode after she lost her father, and she didn't realize how bad it was until it was too late. She tried to get herself back together but she didn't know how much she was missing out on until she finally went back to visit her brother. This town that holds all her memories of her father brings her pain but the people remind her what it means to live again. Her visit turns into months and she makes some life changing investments, but what changes her the most is her new relationship with Easton. She wants him just as much as he wants her, but they both have a dark past that doesn't want to stay hidden. Can their new relationship survive the secrets when they all begin to unravel?

This was such a good read. Both character knew what they had was special years before they decided to act on it, they moved on with their lives never forgetting each other. It was like they knew they were meant to be together no matter what they had to face. I also really loved the town and the people in it. I adored how close they all were and how much they helped each other. I was so attached to this book I just couldn't put it down. I recommend this book to nonfiction romance readers because even though it is a fiction novel i found it to be incredibly realistic. 4 Stars.

Friction is the second book in the Station 32 series. While it's possible to enjoy this book as a standalone, most of the characters were met in the previous book of the series and helps you understand some of the relationships better.

Friction is a story about love, anger, and loss. This story is emotionally charged and will have you riding the waves of emotion with it. Easton and Georgia have known each other most of their lives, though it's always tragedy that brings them together. When Easton and Georgia are brought together by yet another tragedy, the sparks start to fly. The only problem is that Georgia is the kid sister of Easton's best friend, making her off limits. After being toughened by life, Easton and Georgia cross paths once again and they begin to rekindle those old flames. Only now life is more complicated for both of them, will they decide to stand and fight for their love together or allow life to pull them apart once more?

This story was easy to read, with a lot of great emotion and beautifully crafted characters. Easton and Georgia are both broken people, who come together and begin to heal each other. The dialogue flowed smoothly and didn't feel force. There is a tiny bit of suspense thrown into this story, as the author gives you little clue about things without telling you outright for quite some time. While the 'suspense' isn't anything too dramatic, it keeps the story interesting while you start to put the pieces together. While there are some sexual scenes, they're pretty mild and only occur a few times throughout the story.

3.5 STARS
An emotional story above loss, forbidden attraction and enduring love.

Easton & his best friend Wyatt have been out on the road, travelling & enjoying being young & carefree before they settle down their roots in their home town. Unfortunately tragedy strikes and Easton finds himself back home to attend the funeral of the man who helped raised him after he lost his own father. Hiding away from the world before the funeral, Easton finds he soon has the company Georgia Armstrong, sister to his best friend Memphis and the daughter of the man who he's grieving.

The two spend the night grieving in the only way they know how, all while fighting an attraction that is forbidden. Georgia is only seventeen and likes to hide behind her purple hair and dark eyeliner. Easton is too old for her and would never hurt his best friend but he can't explain the pull he feels towards her.

Time fast forwards as both their lives change over the next few years only to lead them back to one another. With obstacles and misunderstandings facing them will Easton & Georgia be able to find their way back to that moment in time when they felt so connected or will Georgia's need to run when life gets to hard be the end of the beginning?

There is a lot of sadness, heartbreak, loss & love in this story as Easton & Georgia fight to find their place in the world and in the small town that holds the roots of their past. While it did take me a while to get into the story, once the characters moved into adulthood I really started enjoying their journey. With plenty of HOT Fireman to keep you warm this book is one you will want to check out!!!

I enjoyed this book so much more then the first. This book starts when Easton and Wyatt are on the road after high school. So the book over laps some of Wyatt's story. Which made sense. There were comments made in Wyatts story that at the time didn't make sense. A comment on where Easton might be or where his 'girl' is. After reading this book it all made perfect sense.

Georgia is Memphis' sister. Early on something happens in the book that effects Georgia and Memphis but also hits close to Easton. It came as a shock since I don't remember this being brought up in Wyatts book. This then begins the story with Easton and Georgia. One stolen night together leads to years ahead.

A number of years later Georgia comes back to town. I loved how Easton fought for her but fought himself to stay away. I did not see the bit of twist with Grace. I figured it out right before it was revealed. They way things fell together between them and the reaction Grace had with Georgia could not have been a better sign for the two of them.

The story also included some crazy ex's. There did feel like something was missing in Easton's story with Trish. There was a reason for not knowing part of that story and it clears up towards the end.

I loved both characters. Easton was forced to get himself together and grow up rather quickly. It took Georgia a bit longer, you could see the change in her as the book progressed.

I can't wait to read Memphis' book. He was a major part in both books. I am ready for his happy ending.
