The Nurse's Secret Love

Rate this book
Saving lives brought them together, but love kept them apart...
*This is a COMPLETE Novel, No cliffhangers*

Nurses and doctors work together every day, but for Latoya there was one doctor who she wished she knew on an intimate and emotional level. Mark Waters had been a colleague and close friend of hers for many years but they never explored anything further as he was a married man.

But after they both attended a medical conference in the romantic setting of Savannah, Mark discovered some disturbing news. His wife was cheating on him with their realtor. Broken, tipsy and disheveled he came to Latoya's hotel room in the middle of the night looking for a shoulder to cry on. But one thing led to another and they both made passionate love to each other that night.

While Latoya thought it was a onetime drunken fling in his moment of weakness, the next morning they ended up making love again. She couldn't be happier and was now hopeful that they could have a future together. The conference finishes and they are both set to go back to Atlanta. But before they leave Mark has some very bad news. He spent all night on the phone with his wife, and they were going to try and work it out. While he wasn't very excited about it, he thought he at least owed his wife that much. Latoya's heart shattered into a million pieces and she cried all the way back to Atlanta.

Over the next few weeks they both tried to avoid each other as much as possible, but a few chance encounters showed them both there was something more there. But neither of them wanted to break up Mark's marriage so they never ended up exploring what they felt for each other.

But then everything changed. A terrible accident brought Mark to the edge of death's door. He survives, but his hands have been damaged permanently and all the doctors agree he'll never do another surgery again. After finding out Mark's livelihood is finished his wife decides to take off in his time of need.

But then Latoya steps in and using the power of love, laughter and a good woman, she is able to nurse Mark back to health over the coming months. He makes such an astounding recovery that the doctors claim it is nothing short of a miracle, and he should be able to go back to work after all!

Somehow his wife finds out he can work again, and she wants to get together again, claiming she is actually pregnant...

Will Mark and do the right thing and treat Latoya like the goddess she is?

I realize this is fiction, but it's never cool to be the "other woman"....married men are off limits!! That element wasn't necessary but since it was what the author chose to write, Mark basically uses LaToya (his best friend) for sex & because LaToya wants to do anything she can to help him she repeatedly allows him to use her then tries to justify her wrongdoing afterwards by condemning his wife to herself. Yes Karen apparently cheated on Mark first but then he immediately flew to LaToya's room to cheat on his wife...payback???

Regardless of how good/bad his wife was, LaToya should've never started having a sexual relationship with him. In the end they got what they wanted...Mark married a woman who sleeps with married men & LaToya married a man who cheats of his wife, smh

Waiting For A Man

This was a okay read. This book is about a physician and a nurse who are best friends and work together every day. One weekend at the convention. They enjoy a nice dinner spoiler alert Mark and coming back to LaToya room later on that evening to let her know that he found out his wife Karen was having affair with the real estate agent who sold them their apartment. One thing led to another . I will leave the rest for you to read yourself I've already given away enough . All in all it is that okay book but wish it was a little bit longer and went more into detail. I feel that Mark shut LaToya out on a lot of things in this book

**SPOLIER**

Good read overall.I loved how Latoya was very aware of everything. Like how she felt, how having an affair is wrong, how he felt. The stolen kisses was my favorite part in the book. I didn't feel they were best friends until the end, but most of the book Latoya was there for him emotionally. She was there for him when he was having issues with his marriage and when he got into that accident. I hope they really do have a happily ever after because if Latoya's and his marriage goes bad he'll be looking for another nurse.lol

This is the first time I read a book by this author. It might have been her first book but I wouldn't give it a bad review. Latoya is a nurse and ends up sleeping with one of the doctor's she works with named Mark. It wasn't just about a sexual thing only as they are feelings involved. Ok maybe I can't relate to the characters cause I'm not a doctor or nurse but I can relate to feelings and going through much to trying to be with someone that is worth it. The pitfall to their happiness is that Mark is married but people show their true colors in the story as it goes. Like the story.

Question

How can you act like a "ho" and then get upset when your called 1???? This story to me was just ridiculous. The concept just didn't work for me. You can't put yourself in that type situation you can't complain of the outcome or should I say the circumstances that lead to the outcome

Ugh!!

Words can't describe how hard it was to try and read this. This read like a sophomore in high school wrote this. I wish I could unread it. I was thoroughly disappointed. The description was really great but don't be fooled. This story had so much potential.

Mark and Latoya I loved this couple. They went through a lot but came out of it together in the end.

Ok read

This book was just okay for me. I could not connect with the two main characters though and struggled to just finish the book.

Not good...

This must be the author's first book. It reminds me of an older Harlequin Romance with sex. I can't read it all.
