The girl you all know as damaged. Quiet. Broken. She doesn’t fit in. Nothing in her world feels right. She’s trapped in a spiral of darkness that seem to be consuming her day by day, until she sees nothing but an empty, black hole. Her world is a dark place she can’t escape. She has people around her who matter. Who love her. But it’s not enough. Not enough to break her out of the bitter despair she lives in.
UNTIL TYKE.
He knows pain. He knows darkness. He’s sweet. He’s kind. But most of all… He understands her. Combining their demons doesn’t seem like the best plan. Everyone is against them. He deserves better. She deserves better. They’ll never work. They’re too broken. Too damaged. It’s a destructive combination that will only end in heartbreak.
Well this was the end of the Jokers' Wrath MC series but I loved the fact that the author introduced two new stories through this novel :D
If you are a biker bitch like me I know you'll jump at the chance to read this series because it's really good :D and if you've already started and liked them then I'll know you'll want to read Pippa and Tyke's story.
Pippa is Santana's sister and from an early age she was sold into slavery until the Jokers' Wrath MC saved her. Now she's trying to adjust to the outside world and live again after the ordeal she's been through.
Tyke is an MC brother that we've already meet in the previous books. He had a motorcycle accident a while back and after a few years in a wheelchair he is starting to walk again.
He and Pippa have an instant connection and become friends but after a few years Pippa wants more but Tyke has a girlfriend and seams to want to leave things as they are.
The books goes back and fourth between Pippa present life and her past from well she was imprisoned until she was saved.
Curious what happens next?
Well you'll just have to pick up the book and see. What I can guarantee is a beautiful story that is a must read (along with the other books in this series) for all you biker bitches out there :D
What an utterly explosive ending to such a wonderful series! i loved this book..it spoke to me in so many ways. The relationship between Tyke and Pippa was heartwarming and had a pureness about it that left me gushing over them. Bella Jewel is an author on my radar now. She was a pleasant surprise to me, and I can't believe I have waited so long before I gave her a try.. I will definitely be going through her back list, very soon.
If you've read this series you'll have some understanding of the story up to this point.Pipper is the sister of Santana who is married to the President of the MC Club. They both ended up in foster care, then on the streets where they were befriended by a man who sold Pipper into Slavery to pay of a debt.
Pipper was there for many years until she was rescued by the club....
Tyke, member of the Club was there when she was rescued and fell for her straight away....
"I love you too,Pipper.Have since the moment I laid eyes on you"
I loved Tyke and Pipper individually but didn't quite get their chemistry as a couple and part of this was due to this... When I'm reading any book I always form a Mental image of the characters in my mind due to description and age...in this Pipper is obviously young but I've got no idea ( unless I missed it )how old Tyke was.....
I did think the Author did an excellent job in depicting what Pipper went through and how as a result she was the person she was.....it's a slow burner on the sex side...but it worked because of the subject matter of the book.I would say it's a sweet, tender relationship they had rather than full on raunchy..
Overall an enjoyable read and I have LOVED THIS SERIES and BELLA JEWEL is one of my favourite MC Author's
IF YOU ENJOY MC BOOKS I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS AUTHOR AND THIS SERIES .....

After immensely enjoying Anguish, my hope for the final installment to the Joker’s Wrath MC series was ignited, expecting that this series would be mediocre at best and not completely inadequate. Unfortunately, Desolation is not only frustrating but also anticlimactic – the worst way to exit a serial dais.
This story takes place 3 years after Pippa (Santana’s sister) is rescued from captivity, after being sold as a slave, at the end of the second book, and even with all that time passing, I found Pippa’s character to be lacking. Though I was initially intrigued by her past, and felt for her deeply – unable to imagine the horrid happenings she endured – absence of her character growth left me incapable of relating to or liking her. I can’t say much about Tyke as we are not given nearly enough about him to develop appropriate feelings. Perhaps, that is the reason why I did not feel as if Tyke and Pippa fit together. The ‘why’s and ‘how’s of their love are depressingly absent, not to mention, the tenuous chemistry and sexual tension. Sadly, these are two characters I would not classify as a couple, instead mere character sketches; not fully embodied.
The plot is no marvel either, a series of “I can’t love you”s and “I want you”s assembled with unnecessary and meaningless drama – the proverbial unintentional cheating included, of course. In addition, Pippa’s ‘past’ scenes were avoidable inclusions, doing nothing to aid in developing a solid, non-monotonous read. I could not connect with the characters, their story, or their romance (I use that term very loosely).
The one aspect I liked is Pippa’s relationship with Rainer, her best friend from during her time in captivity. I loved the bond these two shared, and actually wanted them to end up together, especially after Rainer’s feelings for her are revealed. Rainer is a major character in this story, yet he, along with Andi, (Tyke’s girlfriend and start of the cheating drama) vanish from the story with no resolution to their storylines, leaving me beyond angry and confused.
A rushed and, quite frankly, lousy wrap up to this series, Desolation lives up to its name and only leaves behind feelings of misery, bleakness, and unresolvedness for the reader. Ultimately, I cannot recommend this series, but I suspect fans of Bella Jewel would disagree, so don’t take my word for it alone.
I'm sorry but this wasn't for me. Pippa was to much of everything, shy, timid, innocent, childlike, damaged and so forth. I was almost towards the end when she finally grew a backbone and the MC placed everyone in lock down.
My beef is:
1. Weak character everyone feels sorry for except for Tyke & Rainer. 2. Couldn't feel any connection between Pippa and Tyke. I get they wanted each other in the beginning but I honestly couldn't tell if that was because of hero worship and gratitude. Just couldn't feel it. There was more chemistry with Rainer & Raid then there was with Tyke. 3 Hardly no action (car chases, MC shootouts, bad guys wrecking havoc) nothing to really hold my interest. 4. Not enough club scenes or brotherhood interactions. Just didn't feel like a badass biker read.
Two broken people trying to find each other. We can finally get to know the story of Pippa and Tyke.
"You came to me as a broken angel, fragile and sweet as hell."

About the plot: Pippa and Tyke are best friends. They both broken and caught contact immediately after Jokers rescued Pippa from slavery. Now she has no idea, how to interact with people, and can't stand up for herself at all. Though she feels something for him, doesn't want to risk losing only friend she has.
"They deal, they smile, they include me... but I have been, and always will be, the outsider."
She desperately wants to get out of her comfort zone. But don't know how. Tyke helps, what end up even more confusion and hurt feelings.
“I need you to know that you’re the only person in this world I’ve ever wanted to understand. I need you to know that you’re the only person in this world who has ever gotten me. But mostly, I need you to know that you’re one of the most important things in the world to me."
Why 3 stars? My biggest problem with this book its second half. Not exactly gone as I thought. Surprisingly? No, rather - Seriously? Some lack a good idea for the second half of the book for me. And we got here two migration heroes, as I have written several times. Great, but it's too focused on that instead of on the main characters. I was waiting for this part very much, so felt a little disappointed. And as the last of a series I would like more.
Final thoughts: Emotional and beautiful story. That what she survived simply breaks every heart. The whole series is pretty cool. I would say that its a soft version of the biker club, but not without dark and disturbing moments. A lot is going on, the characters are interesting, missing only the factor that made this series exceptional.
Next in the series? This is supposedly the last of the series. But we have here TWO migration to another Bella Jewel books - Raide Knox form Hard to Fight (Alpha's Heart series) and Max & Belle's story from Flawed Heart (House of Obsidian series). It will be a lot of reading!
So I found the fourth and the last book pretty anti-climatic. I didn't even know that this was the last in the series. Well to be honest I don't know what I expected but it wasn't what I paid for. There was to me a lot of senseless drama. Spoiler below stating what I thought was over the top. I'm also never entirely sure how accurate these books are.
Pippa and Tyke's story takes place 3 years later to when she was rescued. Now, I know that Pippa had scars that ran really deep. I get that after 6 months or 1 year of being freed that is tough but there was virually no change to her character. She let everyone treat her like child for 3 years. I liked the then and now from Pippa.
Tyke how I longed for your book but you just didn't work with Pippa. You were with an o/w during the first part of the book. See spoilers below.
The book dragged and then the end was rushed. The whole vagueness with Raide and why they would ride out. Huh? New characters have been introduced and they sound interesting.
-Tyke kept on brushing Pippa off because of Handi Andi (the other woman) -He hadn't finished it with Andi and started something with Pippa. -Mack loses his leg really?
Pippa seriously annoyed the shit out of me. This one could've been left out of the series,it did nothing for me which was disappointing as I loved the others. Close to the end, Rainer was left hanging like a loose-end, it didn't quite fit. I am super-stoked about Raide's story that is coming soon, now that is going to be interesting! A pet peeve - every damn guy and ever damn women is oh-so-drop-dead-gorgeous....ugh. Reminds me a lot of the Rock Chicks (which I liked, but why must everyone be so perfectly beautiful??).
After reading Anguish I was expecting a lot more from Tyke & Pippa... Sadly, I find the pacing really slow and some elements were missing or unfinished. I did want Tyke & Pippa to end up together but who wouldn’t root for Rainer after what they’ve been through 😭💔 and what happened to Andi?
Also, the Joker’s Wrath never get to finish with the Tinmen MC. It was never resolved, if I remember correctly. 🤔
All in all this is just an okay book, looking forward to the spin-offs 😊
I love Bella Jewels writing and this one did not disappoint. Kinda sad to see the end of this series by did read the teaser for the next that she is writing and it sounds good.
This was a great read!! It's set 3 years after the events that took place in Anguish.. Pippa is still struggling to fit in but has found comfort and safety in her friendship with Tyke.. We got glimpses of the past from when Pippa was in captivity and also got to see her grow and flourish as a woman while she overcame her fears and insecurities.
I was disappointed with this one... The main couple didn't make me fall for them.... I was more interested in new characters and their stories, which they are listed below... Max and Belle's story and Raide's story... Furthermore we never learn what happened with the rival MC's... A club that played a big part in the previous 3 books....
Desolation by bella jewel is the final installment to the JOKERS' WRATH MC series, One of my favorite MC series out I've read so far. Bella's writing is creative and captivating. She had me at every word she wrote. To say the least, I was borderline obsessed with this serious, now that it came to an end I'm so sad :( But the way she ended this novel was just AMAZING! I couldn't have pictured anything different then the way she wrote this last book. My head was on a roller coaster kept me guessing "WHATS NEXT".
Pappi Is the broken girl they had rescued from the book before ANGUISH Also the sister of SANTANA (The prez ol' lady). She was living a nightmare for majority of her life, and this story was told from the PRESENT & THE PAST. As we get to learn what she went through while explaining why the way she is now. She's grown attached to TYKE and wants so much more then just being 'friends' with him but knows it's only a one way feeling.
Tyke, has some physical limitations. He was the brother that was in the wheelchair throughout the other books in the series. He's broken, She's broken. He's just as attached to her as he is, but believes she deserves so much better then him. He thinks she deserves the 'white picket fence, married with A whole bunch of kids' kind of relationship.
Likes-THE WHOLE DAMN STORY!!! Dislikes- The only thing I wanted more of was rainer, but I'm just hoping she writes a spin off of him just like she is with a few others from this series.
I rate this book 5 DAMN STARS!!! If you need a MC book, this series should be on your TBR list!
I haven’t loved this series. BJs h’s tend to get on my nerves, but I wanted to read the House of Obsidian series and heard Pippa has a large part in the second book… which now makes me nervous because I can’t stand Pippa. She’s portrayed as perfect (imagine unicorns farting rainbows) and everyone lurves her because she’s had such a shitty life. (to be fair, she has) but the OTT super special gal description didn’t do her any favors….it makes her annoying, so when she acts like a whiny brat who leads Rainer around by the nuts… it makes it VERY hard (impossible) to like her.
Let me back up, Pippa is Santana’s (Melancholy) sister, and much of that plot was dedicated to her story. She’s been in the background since then. Everyone treats her like a baby (maybe that’s why she acts like one) so it was rough going with her and Tyke. I felt like the story dragged then raced to the finish line.
Bottom Line- This was just “meh” for me. I didn’t like these 2 together and the chemistry felt forced. I had zero feels. I felt like the purpose of the book was setting up the spin-off series and not giving us a believable/deep romance. The safety is the typical mc so there’s plenty of skanks around/overlapping. Andi was the token wannabe OW/sidepiece. Max and Belle’s story will continue with book 1 of HoO.
Desolation was an okay read for me. It wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. I liked both Pippa and Tyke, but I felt their relationship was lacking. They really didn't have one for over half of the book. Tyke had a girlfriend for like 60% of the book and it bugged the shit out of me. There was more of a build up of Rainer and Pippa's relationship than her and Tyke. At times I wanted her to end up with Rainer. Poor Mack in this book. Losing a leg. I was glad that he didn't feel sorry for himself but was like I will walk again period! I like that about Mack. Overall this was an okay read but I wasn't to invested in it. And this is were me and the Jokers part ways. I have no desire to read the last two books in this series so I'm not gonna. I don't know who those people are. Who the hell are Molly and Roman? Who are Jack and Baylee? I haven't met them in any of the other books so why would I care now I don't. Just sayin'! Later on down the line I may go and read Max & Belle's (House Of Obsidian series) and Rainer and Mali's (also HOB Series)books as I am interested in Rainer and Max.
Desolation by Bella Jewel book 4 of The Jokers Wrath MC Series
Pippa is trying to rebuild her life. She has her own apartment, her first job ever, and is trying to make friends. She wants to push herself out of her comfort zone and say what she feels and thinks, but having been sold into slavery at such a young age, she constantly finds herself reverting to someone that does what their told, hiding to protect herself. Pippa wants what her sister has, love. But most of all she wants Tyke, but he sees her as a damaged angel, one that can’t be touched.
Tyke felt broken after an accident left him unable to walk, but after helping rescue Pippa, he pushes himself to walk, ride, and enjoy life. He looks at Pippa as his friend, his broken angel that must be protected. Someone that may shatter if not treated like the broken angel she is. But he also wants more.
Can Tyke take the chance and see that the Broken Angel is now a Beautiful Phoenix? Will he help her grow, or will he step aside and let her find love with someone else? And will Pippa fight to become something more than the broken angel?
This book is loaded with pain. It will take you on a ride through Pippa darkest times, making you hope that this broken angel will show she’s not broken at all. Loaded with heat and danger, you will be sad when this ride comes to an end.
Although, I liked this book overall it did feel a bit rushed in certain areas.
I did feel as tho the whole scenario with Tyke and Andi (his gf) was somewhat overlooked. I don't see why she didn't question his relationship when they got together. However, I did like how Pippa reacted to knowing that he was still in a relationship and I understand that she got taken after that but it would have been nice to have had that issue resolved even in a simple sentence because it did seem as though Tyke cared about Andi even if according to Pippa she was a bitch. The whole book is told in Pippa's POV I would have liked have some insight into Tyke - especially when it seems as though he's having intimate moments with Andi. Sidetone: There are no descriptive sex scenes with OW.
I'm looking forward to reading Max and Anabelle's story! Seems interesting to me.. I read the sample for Raide's story it didn't really pull me in so I'm not sure if I would read his book. Also reading about Rainer would be interesting.
I hate that this series is over! It was a great book, but I'm not sure whether I liked the ending or not. It ended fast, too fast, and it was an emotional ending. I loved the book, but for such a great series the ending could have been better!
I really am sad to see the series end, I love how pippa without realizing sets an example with her struggles and once others realize the may be in the same situation they recognize her strength.
I knew going into Desolation that it was going to be an emotional and deep storyline, I just had no idea how deep it would take me. Pippa’s story is full of details and the aftermath after years of captivity and being held as a working slave. Her story is heartbreaking, unimaginable, and a true story of surviving hell on earth.
Tyke is a mean and scary biker. Well, that’s what we are supposed to believe. He is a biker after all, but in this book, we discover that he is a big and loving softy. He has felt a connection with Pippa from the very first time he saw her during her rescue. Unfortunately, he has held back on the feelings he has for her, thinking that he can never be good enough to claim her as his own.
Pippa is tired of being known as the weak one, the fragile one, the broken one, the one everyone feels the need to take care. She is ready to break free and begin to really live the new life she has been given. Once Tyke realizes this, he begins to help her find her voice. Once that is set in motion, it’s impossible to deny their feelings for each other any longer. It’s very sweet to see her mature and to finally speak up for herself.
Outside of Pippa and Tyke’s story, club business is still in full swing. As with the other installments in this series, its action packed. Being the last book in the series, the author doesn’t hold back with club drama and the need they have to protect the family they have built.
I have enjoyed every minute spent reading this series. The men of this club and the ladies that they love have all touched my heart in one way or another. I am sad to see the series end, but happy to hear that more books are to come from characters that we met during this series. I hope that means that we may get an appearance here and there by members of the Jokers Wrath.
I highly recommend this book and the entire series beginning with Precarious. You won’t regret it!
Oh gawd how I wanted to love this book, potentially and considering I read/heard somewhere that this was the last book in the series, I wanted it to end on a high, that didn't happen for me :(
The story was good but the main characters bugged me a bit and at times I felt like they had no chemistry.
In comparison to her previous books it lacked something!
Desolation is book 4 and the final book in the Jokers' Wrath series. While I did enjoy Tyke and Pippa's story I didn't love it as much as Mack and Jaylah. I felt there was something missing but overall it was enjoyable especially meeting all the characters for this authors other series. I will say that I wasn't happy with the events with Mack and my heart was broken but I'm glad to see him moving on.
