Silent Voice
"Stay silent, stay alive." SILENT VOICE is sure to pull you deep into the Deathwalkers' shadows, where rival assassins, secret missions, and political pandemonium all come to clash. The Deathwalkers are ruthless assassins with one mission in mind… or so their master chooses to believe.
Azrael is an assassin whose soul has been taken... and she wants it back.
Amidst underhanded plots and whirlwind politics, a turmoil is brewing in the kingdom of Eilam, and Azrael is caught at the center of it. After being whisked away from home at the young age of twelve, Azrael spent a long ten years climbing the treacherous Deathwalker ranks and establishing herself as one of the deadliest names, all for one freedom. And she will do anything to have it in her grasp. Or so she thought. The master she serves will only permit her dream if she can secure him Eilam’s throne.
Caught at a crossroads, Azrael must decide how far she is willing to go for the sake of her own freedom, especially as someone who struggles with her reality every waking hour. Can she condemn Eilam to a monster's reign for the freedom she has already sacrificed so much to gain, or will she throw herself into a deathwalker's dishonorable death for the sake of righting her many, many wrongs?
SILENT VOICE begins the BROKEN OATHS SERIES, intertwined with complicated assassins, mysterious forces, a soul-binding curse, and a silencing oath. Lovers of redemptive arcs, light in the dark, slow-burn love stories, challenged perspectives, and world-shifting conflicts will be drawn into this world's sweeping story.

Thank you to Alanna McNiel for sendng me a digital ARC in exchange for an honest review!!
Release Date: 9th September 2026
I actually only saw a random post about this book which contained tropes and I saw assassins and immediately filled a form for the ARC. I was honored to be selected! I jumped into this book with no expectations and I was quite pleased with it.
I absolutely loved the writing style and how Azrael's POV was first person and the other characters' POV was third person. The descriptions were incredibly vivid and it felt as if I was actually walking through Eilam and the other settings. The worldbuilding was on point! I loved seeing little snippets of the world being built together in every chapter.
The concept of Deathwalkers was very unique and I loved how their lifestyle and powers were showed with different missions and them doing bidding for Duke Avis. There were a lot of moments where I was just like 'WHAT?! What is happening' but even with the unanswered questions, the book progressed beautifully. Usually with first books in series, there is always a lot going on and almost no questions that are answered but this book had one end goal and we got to see how it was achieved and what it cost the characters. The continuity between the chapters was amazing!
I also loved the unique inner voices of all the characters we got a chapter of, especially Samael and Cain. They were definitely my favorite characters after Azrael. I also loved Duke Arier and his jabs directed at Avis. I wish we had seen more of Arier but I feel like his character would be important for the next book. The last chapter broke my heart but I cannot wait for the second book!

Review of advance copy received from Author
I received a free ARC of this book and I chose to read and review it.
This novel kept me entertained the whole way through. Every chapter always had something that kept me interested. I loved the switch between the chapters told from Azrael's point of view and then the chapters focusing on other characters. I thought the author did a great job of switching between the two.
Azrael's main goal was something that I felt was easy to root for. The entire book I could not wait to see how it was going to end. I also felt that the antagonist always made every scene intriguing that they were in.
Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book and it left me waiting for more.

The end came too soon
Captivating story telling, transitions that function to carry the story, and it all leaves me wanting more: I’ll definitely keep an eye open.
