“Wolf Express” tells the story about a young Jew in occupied Czechoslovakia that strives to show everyone that he is brave as his father who died in the Great War. He disguises himself as a Catholic priest to save his people on railroad trips to Istanbul. A Gestapo major is after him, so he must rely on his internal fortitude to save his people, his girl friend, and himself.

I’ve served in Vietnam in Intelligence, so I have some experience with the military, but WW2 is so different from modern day conflicts. I love the depth of the strategies and determination of our soldiers to defeat enemies and retore freedom. Those men and women who served justify their description as the Greatest Generation.

Born and raised in Palo Alto, California, I attended Stanford University, worked in Asia for five years (Taiwan and Japan), and now live in San Diego.

I got this book from the goodreads give away and I ate it up. It isn’t something I normally read. But it was very insightful, reading about the struggles and efforts that came with learning to survive in a world of chaos. Thank you so much to the author and goodreads.

Wolf Express grabbed my attention with its unusual premise. The idea of a young Jewish man disguising himself as a Catholic priest while working against the Nazis creates a lot of tension and uncertainty. Zev’s journey through occupied Czechoslovakia makes this a compelling historical adventure.
