Moira has survived monsters, betrayal, and heartbreak.

But captivity may be the thing that finally breaks her.

As her friends search desperately for any trace of her, Moira grows weaker behind enemy lines, waiting for the single opportunity that could mean freedom—or death. She intends to make it count.

Ethan has problems of his own. The woman living in his house claims to be the one he loved, but the deeper he digs into the gaps in his memories, the more convinced he becomes that his entire reality has been built on lies.

With time running out and the truth threatening to destroy everything they hold dear, Moira and Ethan will have to decide how much they're willing to sacrifice for the people they love.

Because not everyone will make it out alive.

S.E. Babin has a passion for writing books with a paranormal twist. Whether it's romance or mystery, she loves taking the norm and turning it into the extraordinary. Her love of reading turned into a curious exploration to see whether or not she could write her own novel.

Beginning with random, terrible poetry and a slightly popular reimagining of Beowulf's Grendel in her high school English class, Sheryl spent way too much time in the library, killing any chance of her becoming a cheerleader or anything even remotely cool. From where our girl Moira starts to the end, woah Nelly! Prepare yourselves. Our story starts out with more Moira in the hellscape with her mother. Evie, Rowan, and the whole gang come to help save Moira. Ethan is still stuck in his delusional state with his deceased love. However, we learn, he put things in place before the spell, to try and protect Moira. Somehow, Cernunnos co-signs & adds his own little twist to the plan. Moira and her unlikely sidekick, Soren, go on an adventure to try and take out her mother. We meet someone new, however, we’re unsure if he is friend or foe. While, there are dark sad parts to the story there are also some bright spots for our favorite fae king and queen. Also for our favorite dryad and banshee. There are some relationship twists that we didn’t see coming. Both Soren and Moira had some major character growth. When’s the countdown for the next book again?! I hope it’s soon!!.

I was so excited when I saw this author had another book to request because I just love her writing. Moira is back, and the beginning of this made me so very sad for her. However, you can’t keep a good woman down, and the story progresses from there. I must admit that I’m a little peeved at Moira because she can’t make up her mind about…well, read this and see for yourself. I’m so happy to be back in this universe, and if you’re a fan of this series and author, you will be delighted with this latest. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

These books are a roller coaster ride for sure. There’s drama, intrigue, plots upon plots, schemes and shenanigans and wow is it intense. The only thing you can count on is there’s gonna be a twist and boy is it gonna be a doozy! A little darker in tone than the Evie centered books but still plenty of laughs, wild plans to unravel and enemies to conquer. Just great fun to read!.

Great story. Lost a star for the whole ridiculously cliché escape thing.
