Not fulfilled

Of course I just love Emma and it was a nice treat to have her working with Ava. However I found this book a little wanting.

Without giving away the story, I will just say that I did not understand the motivation of the police officer.

I was very dissatisfied with the Doe story. No answers. Getting tired of being strung along with this story.

Not sure if I want to read about the epilog cliff hanger. Seems to be a lot if family members not to like.

Emma is back, and you do NOT want to miss this one! When a woman's bones are found in the field in Harlan, Emma is called in to investigate. She's quick to realize she needs help with this one, and she knows the perfect person for the job. The twists and turns are excellent, and it'll keep you guessing throughout the book!

Reading this book felt like reading 4 different stories, none tying each together. I love the Emma Griffin series, but I have to say I was a little disappointed. The stories were good, but all left up in the air, not knowing what happened to three of the four cases. I wish she had limited the stories within the book to two.

A.J. does it again!! Emma and Ava make a great team

Jeez, a double whammy with Doe and the next story! It was great to have Emma and Ava together again. They play off each other with case details and how they figure things out. Poor Xavier, with the cinnamon rolls! That was hilarious!

Wonderful Book! Great reunion between Ava and Emma! These two are smart and make a powerful team. A case from Ava’s past brings the two together in a fast-paced, full of people lying to them and covering up their past. Doe’s story lingers on, and we are worried for her! Can’t wait for the next installment in Emma’s world!

This was a excellent story about Emma and Ava working together to solve a murdered woman cold case and figuring out who done it with lots of suspense and drama and also mysteries with other cases that still need solving. Thank you for this great story.

Thank you A.J

The continuation of the story was a very welcome and pleasant surprise. I’m not a big fan of Ava, but I must admit I have missed her. I completed her series and she grew on me. Having her back with Emma was a nice touch.

mysteries still abound

Emma reunites with Ava and manages to close out Ava’s first case as an agent, with questions still unanswered.

Meanwhile, Bridget’s abduction remains unsolved.

Wow

I've read a lot of this series. Likely every one-on-one my for the next book to be released. Ending was very well planned.

Too much

There is too much at the beginning and ending of this book. The middle shows River's mastery of combining previous books with her current.

Another Good Read

Enjoyed the book. Wish that the story of Doe would finally be solved. It’s hard to keep up with all the different storylines sometimes.

Ready for this series to end. This was too much police procedure and no action

I'm very confused

This drama with Doe has made me impatient and tired. I really think it is dragging out like a TV show that never ends
