About the author

Miranda Vargas was born into a military household, often moving around as a child. She found her comfort in reading and writing, often choosing to stay in the library for lunch during school hours rather than go to the playground. She grew up on the California coast, and often escaped to the beach to watch the sunset from the cliffs or explore the terrain of the nearby mountains.

She pursued writing, but never found her true calling with it until Archer's Dove, where she realized the worldbuilding could be endless. Stay tuned for the Forgotten Gods series, which is tentatively planned for 5 books.

It has a good plot line and nice set up for a great story, but I was a little disappointed with the lack of character development for the main character. I felt like she had so much potential to grow with her gifts and her story, but she stayed almost the same for the entirety of the book. Hoping with subsequent books her character gets to really blossom to her full potential.
