The love of a good horse, sweet mountain air, romance, and adventure will keep you enjoying this story of the early American West.
The old horse trader stands on the bed of his trade wagon watching as a tall, dark-complexioned young man pats the sweaty neck of the unbroken colt. Nodding to himself as the rider steps lightly into the saddle, he grins when the horse plunges sideways at the strange weight of the man on his back. Bucking and bawling across the sandy corral the horse tries his best, but is no match for the rider on his back.
The old man dreams of having his own horse ranch, but now he has waited too long. He is too old to ride the rough colts he intends to breed. He has been looking for land and the best horses in his travels. He finds a spectacular Steeldust stallion that he wants for his herd sire. From the wagon bed Caintuck Waters smiles, before him is the answer to his dreams. He finally finds a partner for his ranch and a horse tamer that can Ride the Rough String.

An AD Western About/Outlaws/Indians/Horse Ranchers/Arizona./Texas
AD has penned a western about two partnered that are trying to start a horse ranch. They are in their way home when the older partner decided it's time to head home. They are robbed of their horses and finally contact the legal authorities only to learn that their horses were used to allow the gang to escape. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS
Young Cam Mitchell and his partner Caintuck plan on starting a horse ranch in Texas. But when outlaw Jack Ketchum and his gang of outlaws steal their prized stilldust stallion. Cam heads after the gang to get the horse back. I wonder if Alfred Dennis is a Stargate SG-1 fan?
If I was to write a western, this is format I would follow. The author tells a story with the all the western elements and characters covered from page one to the end. Not sure how someone can tell a story that is so alive with fact and emotion. Read this book in one day!
This book was well written with great characters and an awesome story. This was a definite page turner. Would highly recommend this book to everyone that enjoys a great western story.
Cowboys, Indians ,outlaws, horse's, and family. All things that make a great storytelling. Love the characters in this one. Though I enjoy this author's stories. Where did these thieves hide their loot.
Good plot, lots of action. Descriptions of land and people are good. Reason for four stars is it needs a good proof reader. Too many times same line is repeated or s character will be riding away and carrying on s conversation with person left behind
