A collection of wisdom from throughout the ages. WARNING: the first 11 pages and the last 6 are advertisements for a collections of mature content books.
Various is the correct author for any book with multiple unknown authors, and is acceptable for books with multiple known authors, especially if not all are known or the list is very long (over 50).
If an editor is known, however, Various is not necessary. List the name of the editor as the primary author (with role "editor"). Contributing authors' names follow it.
Note: WorldCat is an excellent resource for finding author information and contents of anthologies.
It was a good quotes book, but some of these quotes was written from the 1900s to the BC era which I wished the author said what some of the words mean cause we don’t use the vocabulary’s that were explained in the book to get a book across. But all in all, good story!
This ebook is free on iBooks, and it has many substantive and enlightening quotes in it. In fact, I'm quite surprised it has so low a rating given the content of the material. The quotes are derived from many cultures and historical figures throughout history. It's a nice little book to read for a mental reprieve, I read many of the quotes before meditating while commuting and found it quite nice for creating a deepened sense of awareness and contemplation. The only downfall of the book were the inserted adverts which had nothing to do with the content.
I liked the quotes but was disturbed by the mature content pages at the beginning and end of the book. I felt as if the book was given free of charge to entice you to purchase the other books. For that reason I would look else where for this information.
A quick read. There's for sure several inspirational quotes that will resonate with you. However, it lacks a larger continuity and direction that could logically or poetically tie it together nicely. You'll easily finish this book in a single sitting.
