Rigid ideas on keeping a diary, not what I expected

The author is truly passionate about her particular form of journaling: a daily diary. I think of journaling more in terms of recording thoughts and feelings instead of simply documenting the day's activities including a to do list, expense tracking, conversations and whatnot. The book is well written but not what I was hoping for.

I have tried to keep a journal many times, but I always end up stopping because I just don't know what to right or I forget to write. This book gave some great ideas, and reasons to keep going. Hopefully the next time I try and keep start my next journal I will be able to keep with it.
