Couldn't get through this one. The premise was too ridiculous, the characters unbelievable. Carson gets dumped by his fiancee and is reeling from it. However, when the wedding planner shows up to remind him of a missed appointment, he lies and promises to come to her office later that day. When he gets there he finds he just can't disappoint Zoe, said wedding planner, again. You see, Carson's sister, also a client of Zoe's, had left her groom at the altar and all Zoe's hard work on the event went down the drain when it happened. So Carson decides to move forward with the wedding plans and thereby help Zoe,only with no one to fill the role of his bride.
First of all, no guy thinks like this. His ego just took a huge hit and he's been totally humiliated by the one woman he wanted to spend his entire life with. Where is the anger and sense of injustice? Where is the angst? And he decides, so as not to disappoint the wedding planner, to carry on as though nothing happened? To what end? Why would he want to prolong the hurt? Best to let it go and get on with his life, right? I could maybe see, at some point, him realizing an attraction to Zoe, therefore, asking her out, but to do what he did makes no sense.
We're supposed to believe a big, strong, self-confident rodeo rider goes to all that effort after being unceremoniously dumped? And for a woman he barely knows? Give me a break! Then there's Zoe, who comes across as pathetic and stupid. She actually believes the bride just suddenly decided to let the groom finish the rest of the wedding plans with no help or input from her at all? (Shaking my head). Sorry I wasted my money on this one.
