GO OFF Jessa! My expectation from these books is over the top plot with filthy smut & ridiculous yet brilliant one liners 🩵✨ This one delivered with some additional mix of open flirtation & smutty kinks. Watch out for his dirty mouth when she makes him snap though!

This novella was a little longer which worked in its favour. I liked how the main characters were close in age as the existing social class difference was enough of a power imbalance already.

Super sexy YA.. ish romance between a rich boy and a maid he gets obsessed it. Having all the classic JK tropes, this was a lengthy novella with loads of sex, ddlg play, drama, obsessive romance and an abrupt ending.

If we got a detailed epilogue and a bit more detail into their HEA, I’d have rated this higher.

I really enjoyed it. It wasn't a book that changed my life, but it definitely kept me entertained.

Vida works as a maid at a hotel where the rich kids in the city are staying, and one of them just so happens to be Tripp Sterling, the heir to a fortune. Tripp and Vida have a rather unconventional first meeting, and after that, Tripp can't stop thinking about her. But somehow, he ends up being forced to accept a bet with his friends to keep them away from her and make sure they don't make her feel uncomfortable.

Tripp is truly a man obsessed with Vida. That man literally does everything for her. I really liked how he always prioritized Vida's well-being and comfort, and how he constantly made her feel safe whenever she needed it, especially during the moments when she felt insecure because of her job.

It's love at first sight, which I don't mind, but it is YA. I'm just not used to reading books where the main characters are only 18–20 years old. Other than that, it was good—a classic Jessa book: spicy, entertaining, and unhinged.

This might be my favorite Jessa novella! It is definitely the best-edited work she’s given us, which absolutely helps the reader enjoy the story more. 18-year-old virgin, Vida, meets 20-year-old billionaire Tripp Sterling while cleaning his hotel room. Then all the Jessa things kick in: insta-love, crazy jealousy, breeding kink, all of it. Enjoy!

Hands down, my new favorite Jessa Kane. Tripp and Vida were adorably obsessed, so sweet, and equally hilarious. Even longer than her usual works, I was unprepared for this one to end. I could have read so much more of them.

My only complaint, small as it is, there was no epilogue. I really wanted to see them at school or several years down the road still blissfully in love.

I kind of skipped over the smut but I liked how this book was longer. I think I would’ve liked to see Vida have put a little more fight into the third act and for it to have been longer than like two pages. I feel like the resolution was way too unbelievable. I also think Tripp should’ve had to grovel a bit. Especially with the length of the novella. Besides that note, it was a solid plot and I liked how Vida was independent and strong minded.

I must say I had high hopes going into this book. Good plot , strong characters.Interesting how these two meet lol.
(FMC)Vida a soon to be freshman at Dartmouth University agrees to help out her arthritic aunt by filling in for her as a maid at a luxury beach resort . She’s assigned to clean one of the most expensive suites where she meets (MMC)Tripp,a rich “trust fund baby”who’s staying in the suite .Tripp wasn’t supposed to be there when vida came to clean the room. He mistakes Vida for a call girl his friends sent him as a joke. He asks “Did they…send you to me?”
And she replies “ yes, of course they sent me.” Not understanding what he meant. This time he wants to take his friends up on the offer!
The guy is literally taking off Vida’s clothes and she doesn’t even set him straight until he’s fucking finger blasting her ,then she’s out the door faster than a nun at a strip club! 😂
I did like the fact that once Tripp knew she wasn’t a call girl he respectfully backed away and apologized ,but my god! 😳🤦‍♀️
So, the next day Tripp and his frat boy friends see Vida cleaning the gym and they make a bet with him to make Vida his play thing all week (because that’s not condescending at all) and if she hasn’t proven herself a gold digger by Friday they’ll show up to the first day of classes in matching pink tutus. Whatever . Douche bags!!
Thankfully Tripp only agrees to the bet to protect Vida from his asshole friends .
Anyways, things progress with these two ,and before you know it they’re playing tonsil hockey by the lifeguard tower on the beach. Tripp gets the bright idea to take his belt off and tie her to the lifeguard tower naked while he does some ungodly things to himself while watching the poor girl dangling there, then does some ungodly things to her lady parts! That was…um …creative ! 😂
Soon the bet is erased from his mind because he’s become obsessed with this girl .
The next day to thank her for the “good time” he draws her a picture of The Milky Way🤣 (pardon the pun), because of her plans to study Astronomy when she goes to University. (Because Astronomy is totally going to pay the bills right?!lol)
In my mind I pictured this dumb jock with a desk full of crayons drawing this pitiful attempt of the galaxy on a sheet of construction paper that looks like total shit ! 🤣
I almost keeled over when he says…..”She’s already so special to me,I don’t know what to do with myself…Color, I guess!” 🤣
Apparently daddy’s money cannot buy brain cells .
Shortly after, Tripp asks Vida to join him on his yacht and they consumate their relationship (yes, she is a virgin, are you surprised?!….I’m not. 🙄)
Much of this story felt extremely predictable, but I was fine with that I suppose.It was of course insta love from the beginning with these two. Some scenes were cute like when she makes him a friendship bracelet! Then there were steamy scenes that completely fizzled out for me when he asks her if she remembers her “safe word” and she’s like “yes, it’s MUSSELS!!!” wtf ?! Lmfao?! That ruined it for me then ! 😂
I had to laugh at the part when
He’s getting a BJ from Vida and he basically says he saw the face of Jesus !!! That good huh?! Lmfao!😂

The guy is so obsessed with her he asks her to marry him after 3 days , buys her expensive jewelry, pays off her aunt’s mortgage, gets her into her dream university (Yale)which also happens to be the same university he’s going to , says he’s going to get her pregnant, and orders her a chastity belt because he wants to protect her from other men and only he has the key??! (Where would one order such a device? Controllingboyfriend.com?!🤔🤷‍♀️)
He says “Do you want to cage this? Do you want to lock it up ,Angel?”
The fact that he calls her Angel is cringe worthy , and the dude is clearly insane for ordering her a chastity belt, and wanting to get her pregnant at 18 !!! Any sane 18 year old woman would run for the hills regardless if the man was rich or not.
And what is up with the author and co🍆k cages?!?! I was hoping Jessa was done with those! wtf? 🤦‍♀️😂

I did like how everything was resolved once Vida found out about the bet , and they sailed off into the sunset together in his super yacht,but I didn’t expect it to end as abruptly as it did , and I was left with so many questions. Did she get pregnant ? Did their romance last after they started Yale together? Where was the epilogue at the end like all the other novellas by this author? She’s known for those , and I felt like I was robbed of an epilogue! I wanted to know what happened to these two sex crazed lunatics five years later?!
All in all it was a fun read , but it lacked sexual tension , and an epilogue so it fell flat for me . It was interesting lol.

The author tried to write a but that was a weird mix of dark and light romance. The way the MCs meet is so farfetched and disturbing and then it flips to this willing Prince Charming vs determined to be destitute virgin FMC. What’s their connection? He likes to grape and she likes to be graped. I shit you not.

For me this is a grab bag of topics I don’t like, a checklist of romantic tropes, and a massively triggering element of voluntary pretend NonCon. The MCs basically fall in love after their third encounter which is their first date. This is after he almost grapes her which the FMC, who is supposed to be the innocent virgin who doesn’t know what “doggy style” is, was perfectly ok with pretending to be graped. She is a sexual genius even tho she is shy and reserved and had never been kissed. She is also the most beautiful girl that anyone has ever seen. Everyone thinks so but we are to believe she was never had a male interaction ever. She is working a job she didn’t get hired for in place of someone else for billionaires and we are supposed to believe that millionaire and billionaires were ok with this random poor person moving around there personal spaces without security clearance? THEN… there is the prince and the pauper element where she is begging him not to help her, and spoil her and treat her like a princess because she just wants him even tho she has only seen him twice and has only known him and been in his presence for 2 hours spread over two days.

I barely made it half way before I quit.

I've really, really struggled to read lately so this is the first book I have finished in about two weeks, and it's a novella that I would normally read in a day that I read spread out over a month or so so don't take my rating/review to heart, I suspect it will get a re-read and update at some point in the future.

This is about 50-60% longer than a lot of Jessa Kane's novellas, which I liked, but the extra length is spent on non-steamy scenes so the ratio felt off for what I usually expect when reading a "JK dirty short." It has some of her hallmarks but they felt a bit muted: mild (very) Daddy kink, mild primal play/CNC kink. Even the steamy scenes seemed a little muted (but maybe this was me in my terrible reading mood?)

The instalove and hero obsession were heightened, perhaps even more so than usual and that is saying something. Amusing actions on the hero's part as a result.

❤️ Vida's self-love, respect, and courage, which made Tripp fall even harder every second.
🥹 Tripp's selflessness towards Aunt Peggy.
✨ The rich boy x maid dynamic.

And the spice? Let's just say it had me sweating like an ice cream cone in the middle of a beach heatwave. 🥵🌴

This might be my new favorite Jessa Kane book to date! I absolutely ate this book up. I loved the premise, I loved the characters, I loved that this book was longer, and I just loved that this book was the over the top goodness and spicy fun that I can always expect from this author. I literally devoured this book and cannot get enough of these characters. I have my fingers crossed that there was more planned for them with that ending because I truly am obsessed. There is just something this author infuses into every book that she writes and this one was that times 10. I just ate up this book with Vida and Tripp and I cannot say enough how much I loved reading their story. Those two might have an over-the-top connection, but it works for them, and you will love getting to experience their story. It is fiery, it is consuming, and it is very very them!!

The accidental first meeting between the two MCs was OTT in typical JK fashion due to miscommunication. I loved how obsessed both characters were for each other. Primal kink and a breeding kink, what is JK doing to me. Would have loved an epilogue into the future but that’s just because I wanted more of them. The spice in this HOT. From the beach scene with the lifeguard tower to the townhouse in Boston.

I Need More Tripp and Vida!

What can I say about this little gem? Tripp and Vida are fantastic together. Their relationship even dips slightly into the darker side thanks to Tripp’s unusual fantasy, and Vida is more than willing to embrace every part of who he is. They’re complete opposites on paper, but somehow they work perfectly.

What surprised me most, though, is how invested I became in what happens after this story ends. As the book progressed, Tripp’s obsession with Vida grew stronger, and he fully embraced that “touch her and die” mentality. By the end, he was all in, and now I’m desperate to see how that intensity affects their relationship moving forward. And can we talk about Calder? I absolutely need to know what happens to him next!

Sweet, Spicy, and Completely Addictive!

This story is so beautiful. It has new adult vibes, billionaire romance, a virgin FMC, and so much more.

The book follows Vida and Tripp. Tripp initially mistakes Vida for a call girl sent to him by his friends, especially because of the maid outfit situation, which leads to some funny and awkward misunderstandings.

From the start, Tripp is completely gone for Vida. It’s clear he wants her—what’s left is just for Vida to catch up to his feelings.

What I really loved is how carefully Tripp tries to spoil her without overwhelming or scaring her away. That balance made his character really stand out.

This is a 5-star read that I highly recommend.

The ending just felt way too abrupt- it wouldn’t have hurt to add an epilogue.

I don’t want to spoil anything so just a note to myself, if you’re ever wanting a contact high and need to feel consumed and overtaken, drunk on love - read this. Reading this was like being involved in the love and it’s consuming in a way that has my head dizzy.

Rich boy meets maid, both filled with cravings for unspoken twisted fantasies and the need to spoil one another. Side of a daddy trope, and punch to the face for the idiots, and a few giggles here and there.

A few little dark and naughty kinks for particular people all mixed in between Tripp and Vida. Though young, they are very strong and independant people and clearly know what they want. Heavy on the spicy and overloading with the obsessive and possessive and need to make sure no other touches what is theirs.
