This is part of a series. For readers of the series, it is probably great. But as a one-off it is confusing, there is little character development, and not much happens. I don't intend to read the series.
The last couple of books have had me on the edge with what's going on in Sean's life. Clementine is my least favorite with hiding a bunch of truths and not trusting Ward. Heath has every right to be mad at Roland, and it's hurtful to read. I'm not thrilled with how Cayson proposed, but it was sweet. It's just how he rolls. He thinks everything through and is very romantic. I'm not surprised about the attacker being Zach. I had a feeling since I knew it wasn't Scarlett and Ryan's mother. We already went through that. I was upset at Trinity once again. Another character I haven't ever liked. I do hope Clementine opens her heart and mind. Also, in the last book, Mike mentioned a character in the other series. Yet those books ended with nothing more on them. I was very upset because I liked Hazel and her man. And nothing ever came of them. Did they have kids? Will they pop up in this series? Why bring them up in the book if you have NO intention of giving readers an insight into who they are. I read the other series not everyone has.
This is a great series. There are several characters in each book that overlaps between each book. Please read the series in order. Note this book has a few spelling or grammatical errors.
Story was interesting but how did a guy get past guards and security? Made no sense. No explanation as to how this was plotted or who the second guy was. The emotions ,to me, are too extreme. Why wouldn't there be cameras in a parking garage?
The lack of editing is getting worse with your books!!! It is so annoying to have to stop and figure out who you really mean when you use the wrong character names.
Wish I hadn’t bothered to start this series. The stories are dragged out to the point of being painful I’m glad I use kindle unlimited or I would have given up reading further.
Sean’s attacker, I have no words because I can’t spoil it for people but I wasn’t expecting that. I was not expecting that one at all! Gah, this author always has me wondering what the heck is going to happen next! I am so glad that we do finally actually know what is going on with him. It felt like we were never actually going to find out so I’m glad we did and that part of the story is finally over.
Cayson and Skye, I do love these two maybe not as much as my two top couples in this series but they do have a piece of my heart. I am so happy that Cayson finally did something about their love and proposed. I think everyone kind of already knew that these two would get married but I’ll admit I thought they’d be first and not Slade/Trinity. However at the end of the day I don’t think it matters about that because love is love and well it doesn’t matter how they show that love and commitment to each other or the timeline in which it happens, as long as they are truly happy, that is the most important thing.
Silkie is a badass and her actions in this book just reinforced exactly why I adore her character to bits. I honestly just hope that Lydia finally accepts that Arsen is and will always be an amazing father and also that Abby would be better off with two parents being friends rather than two parents who are fighting and at odds. I honestly hope it works and that things calm down a tad more so for Abby’s sake.
I am finally honestly really relieved that Clementine told her parents and Ward about everything, maybe now things can start looking up, it does sound like happy times are on the way. I am really slowly falling in love with Ward. He is different to everyone else but that isn’t a bad thing as far as I’m concerned.
Roland should have said something, I mean Heath was there and I honestly don’t think they would have rejected him. I hope soon he will take the plunge and tell all.
Now I really want to see more from Theo and Thomas, it feels like they don’t exist anymore, can we get more of them please?
Book 22 in this series. The couple I hoped would work out are still struggling. The villain was not who I thought, surprised was I. Lol. This series is so addicting and I can't figure out why. Good read.
Finally Clementine tells Ward what he always wanted to hear. Sean's attacker we finally know who it is and it was shocking who it was. This series is really addicting and I love all the reading about all the characters.
I voluntarily reviewed this Advanced Reader Copy of this book
WOW! that was full of drama. So so pleased it all went in the right direction.
Glad Clementine finally shared her secret, not only with Ward but also her parents. I hope she finally accepts what has been in front of her all this time.
I thought Roland was going to finally say something, even though it was a very tense time, I think every one would have taken the news with shock and surprise, but he didn't and Heath was there supporting him.
Shame it was something so serious that made Carson really appreciate what he has with Skye, and when he proposed that was a very special heartfelt moment, at a very poignant time.
Silke has guts, hopefully Lydia will finally see Arsen for the fantastic man and great father he is.
Clemy's house sounds lovey, some happy times are a coming.
Sean and Scarlet, the most badass couple ever!!! YAY! Horrific time for both of them, but so happy with the outcome.
Okay I have to say E.L. Todd you almost scared me to death in this book with Sean. I was like no she can`t do this not to her readers. I suspected this guy after what happened but didn`t give it a thought until this book. Knowing that this will change everything in this series almost had me have a heart attack. Sean have to say is one brave guy and Scarlett kick ass woman as usual. These two together just proves nothing will tear them apart and any person threatening their family you better watch out. This book was just so suspenseful for me keeping me on the edge of my seat reading through Sean`s story and the gunshot. It was like the epiphany of all things changing the whole dynamic of this story. E.L. Todd you are one sneaky author putting me on the edge like this falling for these characters. Loved it.
I am so glad that Cayson and Skye got engaged, I am so happy for them. It was my guess on who Sean's shooter is. I guessed right. I am so glad that Clementine told ward I hope the get together and I am so glad Skye and Clementine. I hope heath stays away from asher. And I really want Conrad and Lexie to be together
Wow Sean killer is such an asshole. Im not going to say name so I don't spoil it. I feel bad for Skye but thank God everything turn out good. Lexie and Conrand are falling in love and they aren't even noticing it. I can't wait for Roland to come out, Sean is going to be so supportive so there's nothing to be scare of. I can't wait to read more of my favorite gang
