Ruby FlashyFur comes to the school after the summer holidays to find nobody seeing and appreciating her on her new outfit. Ryder FlashyFur finds that Mouseford Academy is playing host to several mouse colleges and academies. Every student or his or her group should make a scientific expermient or machine for the GAMS contest among schools. Professor Plie finds the Thea Sisters eager at something for the past Summer holidays. After some time, Professor Anna Aria finds that her favourite Thea Sisters are making a secret invention, a machine called The Mousepad 3000 for handicaps.
It is a machine in which someone sits on and the machine walks them everywhere, even jumps. When the judging day is weeks away, Connie, Alicia and Zoe, Ruby Crew says that they are going to dress up as planets and Ruby is going to be the sun. But Ruby phoned her mother. On the judging day, she gets a mysterious package by a mysterious man. Is Ruby going to sabotage the Mousepad 3000 or she is going to buy a experiment?

This one was okay. I can kind of relate this to my robotics competition experience. This was a fun read. I admire the friendship between the competitors. It is an important thing to consider when in a team competition which I found this book portrayed very well. I really liked the cute mechanic animal. Makes me want to have one. The "sabotage" was kind of expected. Overall, fun and easy read.

Een supergeheim project, een technokoets, een event waar andere colleges hun uitvindingen laten zien, en natuurlijk een adder die alles wil verpesten.

Ik vroeg mezelf al af waarom ik dit boek nooit had gelezen, het is eigenlijk de enige die ik niet had gelezen. Wel... ik kwam al snel erachter waarom ik het heel wat minder leuk vind.

En dat is te doen met Vanilla. Vanilla die allerlei slechte dingen doet (saboteren/vals spelen), maar steeds weer mag blijven en amper gestraft wordt. Zelfs in dit boek word ze wederom gered van schorsing en zelfs de Thea Sisters (in al hun heilige boontjes gedrag) zouden het jammer vinden als Vanilla wordt geschorst. Sorry hoor, ik snap dat dit nog maar boek 5 is in hun wereld, maar geloof me meiden, jullie willen die adder niet op jullie school hebben. Ze zal nog meer projecten van jullie vernielen, vernietigen, of er voor zorgen dat jullie je slecht voelen. Tja, ik vind het toch een slechte boodschap overbrengen naar kinderen die dit boek lezen. Zo van, als je maar genoeg geld en connecties heb mag je alles doen wat je wilt, ook al beschadig je daarbij mensen en spullen.

Ik vind het wel mooi dat de blurb: "Maar zoals altijd waren de Vanilla Girls weer tot alles bereid om hun plan te saboteren!" Maar dit keer doen Vanilla's vriendinnen niet mee met haar streken. In tegenstelling, ze zijn druk bezig met hun maffe planeten dansje. :P

Ik vond het wel leuk om te lezen wat onze magische Thea Sisters aan het bouwen waren. Ja, ik zeg magisch want sorry, die meiden kunnen alles. En dat wordt toch wel een beetje saai. Ik zou de Sisters wel eens zien falen, dit klinkt gemeen, maar ja, ik wil nu soms bijna een octarine (magic) tag toevoegen want sorry, niemand in de wereld kan alles, maar deze vriendinnen wel. :|
Maar terug naar de uitvinding, die vond ik erg leuk, ik zou ook wel zo'n autootje willen hebben.

Het was ook leuk om de andere colleges te zien. We zagen weer oude vrienden terug. En ik had veel plezier in het zien van de andere uitvindingen! Sommige hadden echt leuke dingen gemaakt.

Dus ja, een boek wat niet superleuk was vanwege dat Vanilla wicht, maar ook wel leuk was om de uitvindingen.

En nu is het weer terug naar wachten op de rest van de boeken die nog onvertaald zijn, en ook wachten op nieuwe delen!

Gave it a mediocre rating because nothing new really happened. These books all have essentially the same plot, and I would do near anything to have continuity, outside of "our friends from Japan".(And yes, I did read the book where they met them. One of them was an honorary Thea sister). If the books could have the same smart and entertaining writing the first four graphic novels did, they'd probably be higher-acclaimed instead of being only known as a never ending series, like "The Magic Treehouse."

Nice nice book. But Ruby was very selfish in the story. Her mother of course and her mother in fact more selfish. But gladly the three sisters found them and how their planning over and then Ruby did not get expelled from the academy but they did get a punishment that is including the brother too you know. For more details pls check out the book.
