Crazy, intense, page-turning sci fi, yet with a lot of believable, futuristic content.

Sidekick-Pines is an independent and unauthorized companion to Pines by Blake Crouch. It is written by Samantha C. Allen. It could be used as you read the book or as a guide to a book club discussion. Any way it is used, it is necessary to know that spoilers are given in this book so it is not recommended that you read it before Pines.
In this book, the author divides it into two distinct sections: Exploring The Author’s Fictional World and Character Analysis and Discussion. The first section takes you into the town of Wayward Pines, Idaho and you can see that the town is perfect; but there is a sense of something wrong. The second section talks about the characters and discusses the chapters in sections. There is a character guide, a closer look at Ethan and Theresa, looking at alternate endings, themes and symbolism that you may have missed, possible storylines for a prequel, and theories behind the fiction. You also get to sit in on and interview with Blake Crouch to get to know him better.
If you bought the book, Pines, you may not have been aware of this book and read the first book without any companion or help. It does help in understanding what is going on sooner; but I personally find it is better to read the book and then read it again with the companion. If I were leading a book club discussion on this book, I would definitely use the Skidekick; but if I were just reading it, I would enjoy the book first and then read it again using the Sidekick.
This book definitely helps understand the characters and the plot.

First time reading any sidekick

I have never read a "sidekick" before, like being in a classroom or book club. Made me view my experience or take away from Wayward Pines 1st book from a slightly different perspective. I read this after finishing all 3. Would recommend one reads after finishing first
