All Keira Kenney wants is her happy ending. Too bad she can never make it through a first date. Is a nice man who’s into fitness and comics, with an extensive knowledge of everything science-fiction too much to ask for? Apparently, since Keira can’t seem to find a partner who can simply tolerate her interests. Perhaps it’s time for her to give up. She has her job at Melrose Fitness, a new season of her favorite space drama added to streaming, and hundreds of thousands of words worth of fan fiction all to keep her mind busy. Her heart will have to wait.

Pyrotechnics expert, Daniel Song isn’t looking for anything. He spends his days doing what he loves, and his nights and weekends participating in the kinky activities his body craves. Single life as sexual switch suits him perfectly, giving him the freedom to indulge the types of erotic adventures some people only dream of.

When a good friend asks Daniel if his co-worker, Keira can join him at a local sci-fi convention, neither of them expect any sort of fireworks to spark. After all, Keira’s turned off by kink and Daniel can’t live without with it. So naturally they both agree that an official first date would be a great idea. With this new relationship fresh between them, Daniel shares what he can of himself without scaring Keira off, hiding his shock and growing infatuation as she rises to every sexual occasion with her silly, geek-girl personality. It’s only a matter of time before they both have to face the truth; what he wants is the furtherest thing from what she needs. But in the meantime, pushing each other’s sexual limits seems like a good plan. It’s not like either of them is looking for love.

**This story contains two massive nerds who can’t keep their hands off each other. And fisting.**

This is definitely my favourite from this series. It gave me all the warmth that comes with a good romance.

I love how the author explored BDSM here. The hero is well-versed in it and quite heavily involved that lifestyle.
Our heroine, a gorgeous and unabashed nerd, is convinced she wants nothing to do with that lifestyle and would much rather keep things ‘vanilla’, but these two connect and their dynamic was so fuckin’ good!

A novella that hit all the right spots, tbh.

Keira is a geek's geek, trapped in a hot girl's body. It causes problems because she attracts men she never has anything in common with. Daniel, a friend of her boss, as a last minute favor, shows her around the comic convention, he happened to be also working. None of the players involved expected sparks between this unlikely pair. What happens when the vanilla girl, gets thrown into the deep end of the kink pool?

Daniel is so far removed from my normal type of romance hero. Beta just isn’t my thing, let alone the BDSM switch thing, with extreme kinks. He also happens to be missing a hand, due to job related accident. All of this actually makes him stand out from the romancelandia pack, combined with the sweet way he treats our girl. Keira is not a virgin, but some of this might be past her sex grade. I know for a fact most of it went past my own. I found so much of this book fascinating. It was interesting to see this heroine put in the effort to explore her untapped femdom potential. Outside the sexual aspect of this book was also drawn to the nerd luxury unapologetically on display throughout the story. Being a black nerdgirl myself, couldn't help but rejoice with this introduction of a new kind of heroine into the Interracial Romance spectrum of womanhood.

My only complaint was the low page count. The resolution was so rushed; it kind of lost a lot of the previous realism points. But I guess I'll trade that, instead of the insta-love that often comes with novellas.

I really liked this as a romance, though some of the sexual things went outside my realm a bit. This is great for anyone really into Female Doms, submissive males, and a high freak number. 

I saw Courtney Milan tweet positively about Sated, and she linked to a B+ review over at Smart Bitches. I'm not super into BDSM, although I've read my fair share of it. This one intrigued me because I saw the hero and heroine were more on the geeky side so I decided to try it. I read it in one sitting and had a smile on my face.

Keira has had bad luck in the dating department. She is super into a science-fiction show called Galaxis, and gets along better with her online friends than the men she tries dating in real life. As Keira puts it:

When she wasn't in the gym, her face was buried in a book or a comic, or focused on the nearest screen playing her sci-fi favorites. Keira had crafted herself into the dream student, the model child, and the ideal athlete. And the most socially awkward human being ever.

She is a fitness instructor at a gym, and is good friends with two of her male co-workers. When they hear she doesn't have anyone to go with to the a Galaxis convention, they offer her a friend by the name of Daniel, whose brother happens to be on the show. Daniel is a pyrotechnic operator for bands on tour. After a bad explosion, he lost his right hand, but with extensive therapy, he now uses a prosthetic and has been able to continue in his career. Daniel is big into the BDSM scenes, having a club he frequents and enjoys. He is a switch, enjoying both submitting and being a dominant. While he has many sexual experiences at the club, he hasn't seriously dated anyone for a very long time.

He gladly meets Keira at the convention and they really hit it off. They have a lot in common and their conversation flows easily. However, Keira is not familiar at all with BDSM. Because it's foreign to her, it's scary to her. Even with that difference, they decide to go on an official date and things play out from here.

This book surprised me in a way - it didn't play out exactly how I thought it would (and that is a good thing). Keira is very open and talkative and a little silly. I really enjoyed her. She wants to learn all there is about BDSM. She is very open to it and this makes Daniel excited. She comes across very genuine, which really appealed to me. After she admits to Daniel she loves watching guys pleasure themselves:

"Oh my gosh, no! Don't!"

"You sure?" Daniel asked, his hand still in his boxers.

"No. Yes. I don't know! Do you usually whip it out on first dates?"

Daniel dropped his chin, giving her a telling look. "It's happened."

"Oh gosh. Okay. Okay. Do it. No! Do it."

Pssst - he does it.

It's not that Daniel needs to be immersed in BDSM every time he has sex, but it is a very big part of his life. He slowly introduces her to it, and she likes it. She does her own research and they start trying things out together. All the while - Keira keeps her sense of humor:

He had a roll of red shiny tape hanging off his prosthetic hook. "Do you know what this is?"

"Festive duct tape?"

"It's called bondage tape."

After reading five million romance books, sometimes you can predict the sex scenes - but this one is a little different. Keira isn't afraid to ask Daniel to do things - and he very much complies.

Once Daniel starts taking Keira out of the bedroom and into the club scene, things get more complicated for her. She wasn't quite prepared for the intensity of it - and they have to work through it.

Time jumps forward in this book - I think it's about 120 pages and there are times a week or two goes by, where these two continue to get to know one another but for the reader it feels a little rushed. But otherwise I really enjoyed this book. It's really sexy and cute. Will definitely keep track of this author.

Gulped this one down. I loved the heroine, an unashamed nerd who chatters and makes silly jokes and is pretty happy in her own skin, actually. The hero is also fabulous, he's a lifestyle BDSM person who falls for someone who really isn't, and it's so cute see him ease into a relationship without the trappings. Which is not to say this book contains no kink, it has plenty, but it's more about her trying out her wild side and him focusing on the emotional core of the relationship than on the sexual side, and how they make that work for both. Warm fuzzies.

Also, like book 1, it's laugh out loud funny at points and had me snorting repeatedly. Really enjoyable trilogy, I heartily recommend the lot.

Easily my favorite book of the series. The hero a hot Korean-American guy and uses a hand prosthesis - when have you ever seen that in a book, romance or otherwise? The heroine is utterly herself and Daniel loves her for that exact reason. In the middle I got a little meh on the conflict but Weatherspoon quickly righted the ship.

This is also the first BDSM romance I've seen with a switch protagonist that convinces the other protagonist to try both submission and domination. It makes for a neat dynamic.

I wanted a sure thing after a couple of DNFs and Weatherspoon comes through again - it's fun to watch Daniel and Keira fall in love.

I adore this book. This was my fourth read and it's still so good! Keira won my heart from the very beginning. She's the kind of heroine I wish I could be friends with. I especially love the first scene when she is topping. It's just hilarious and hot and wonderful.

One of the things I appreciate the most about this book is that it centers two switches and they switch with each other. I also really like that I got to read about a novice top. Both these things are so rare in BDSM romance.

I also really love how funny and geeky this book is. Those are two things I wish were part of more BDSM romances. They are some of the aspects I enjoyed the most about this story.

I appreciate the on the page, clear, incidental representation of both bisexuality and disability. Daniel is both bi and disabled and it's not a big thing in the book but its there enough to be real. I also appreciated that they are in an inter-racial relationship and neither MC was white. That's also super rare in romance and important representation.

Daniel frustrates me with his black and white thinking and his not communicating when he needs to be. Every time I want to kick him for this, and wish he had a BFF to do that. But his choices and thinking also feel realistic as flaws, and his getting stuck in this way and finding out that he wants more out of kink and doesn't want to be dial-a-switch for the community feels like a good arc in the end. I will say that the end, & his arc, feel a bit rushed and like they could both use a bit more length to attend to them. I especially was concerned aboyt how they so quickly resolved her desire for an exclusive relationship and his long term connection to his leather family and his seeming desire for non-monogamy. That resolution felt a bit handwavy and could have used some time. I would definitely read a novel about these two.

I do want to note that I was occasionally jarred out of the story by the BDSM rep (i.e. calling a flogger a flog) but this was rare and pretty much all about in community language. The vast majority of the BDSM rep rung true to me and felt realistic.

The heroine is Black, enthusiastically geeky, and athletic.

The hero is Korean-American, disabled, and a switch in a polyamorous "family" relationship.

I like how the characters were clearly ethnically diverse and also clearly had a complex mixture of characteristics that made them seem like real people. (Especially remarkable since this was just a novella!)

It's fun to watch them fall for each other, because there are actual lifestyle obstacles for them to overcome -- which they resolve through the magical powers of communication and a willingness to try. Also, they're hilarious and adorable, so I was rooting for them the whole time.

I'm planning to pick up the first two books in the series. Weatherspoon is now on my auto-consider-buying list.

All I can is that I loved this book! Not only was it captivating, but it also got into the psychological aspects of Desire, Foreplay & BDSM. It wasn't pitch perfect, but it absolutely lovely.

Giving this one 3.5 stars.

Full review at Smart Bitches, Trashy Books

Full disclosure: I have a huge block when it comes to BDSM. As a result, I did not expect to like Sated, which is the third book in a trilogy about members of a BDSM club. I tried it anyway, because it had a lot of my personal catnip components, including diverse and geeky characters. Surprise, I LOVED IT. The book was respectful of geeks, people with disabilities, people of color, and the BDSM community, and it was informative and entertaining, and it was funny – and it was all about communication and consent.

The focal point of this romance isn’t so much the actual sex as the talking about sex. There are sex scenes, and they are sexy, but much more time is devoted to Keira and Daniel talking about sex than having it. Keira is direct and she’s curious. She’s not interested in BDSM based on her preconceptions, but she’s willing to learn more about it and explore as long as she can do so under her own terms. Daniel is very open (except about the extent of his involvement in the club, which creates the conflict between the two).

This book is also very short, and it shows. Keira and Daniel have a quick romance followed by a proposal that is so unromantic that it almost becomes romantic by default because it’s so in character for the two of them. The romance feels longer, but in terms of calendar days, it’s resolved very quickly. The story could have used much more fleshing out – some of that I probably missed by reading Book 3 before the other two books, but I think that some content is just plain missing.

On the whole, however, I adored this book. As a bonus, in this story, the characters’ interest in kink doesn’t stem from some past trauma that needs to be cured. They just like kink. It’s presented as perfectly healthy, although not to everyone’s taste. I am giving this a very high B+. The book really needed to be longer, but it handled so many relatively unusual components with so much grace. And also, I laughed so hard.

This romance is my favorite of the series. I love Kiera and I love Daniel. They are human and fall in love with each other in lovely real ways. They also mess up in lovely real ways.

I am not always a fan of BDSM but this book is great for me because who the characters are blend into their play. Very sexy and very loving.

I think we get the great, if fast, development of their relationship. I wish, again with this series, to see how they ended up negotiating their lives fully blended.

This was a sweet hot read about acceptance and being loved.

Sated is the third book in the Fit Trilogy. To be fair, I didn't read the other two in the series but it wasn't needed in order to tell Keira's tale. Keira is a fitness guru and a sci-fi geek who wants to find a man that can accept her quirky nature along with her good looks. Daniel is a pyrotech who is missing a hand from an accident early in his career.

Daniel is deep in the kink community while Keira is completely new to the game, but they realized their was more to the other: Daniel was more than his kink, while Keira is beauty and and a freak under all that geek. :) They get to know each other, and Keira gets to explore her sexual fantasies to her heart's content under Daniel's guidance, while he gets to know Keira for herself without the feeling of being used for his prowess with the whip. Through the story they realize that they find what they were looking for in one another and didn't waste any time with playing any games.

The story was a good, the first scene that Keira asked Daniel to put on a show for her, is where I almost fell off the treadmill. It was very compelling. *chuckles* There were other scenes that were pretty good, but I enjoyed the first one the best. I'm not sure though how I liked reading a story about switches though. I thought I would enjoy it more since it is the best of both worlds, but I didn't. It was more confusing to me because the play happened, but they weren't detailed enough to give that distinction of when Daniel commanded a scene versus from Keira would be in charge of the scene. Maybe it just takes a little getting used to, but I am happy to have read the story.

Thanks Pagan for the rec. :)

I was all ready to love this one. Up until the 70% mark of the book this one was my favourite book of the series and I had a feeling it was a definite 5 star read for me. But then the conflict that was presented involved things that I mostly find very hard to forgive, which would have been fine had the narrative convinced me that they were workable issues. Instead the author took the easy way out -really easy way out- and the conflict was resolved by one MC having a talk with his people and coming to some conclusions on his own and the other MC having a talk on the side that apparently changed her mind on everything and everyone... All done off text... I was seeing red by the time I was done skimming the last bit of the book. I felt duped. I also felt like the ending was done more to the catering of Daniel's needs and wants than to Keira's... and if there was one thing I had loved about the series it was that the books were all about the ladies.

So, this one started really strong and amazing and I was loving it... I want to delete everything from the end.

I bought all three books in the Fit Trilogy today after seeing tweets from the author. While I loved all three books and all three couples, Daniel and Keira were my favorites.

I adored Keira because she felt familiar. There's definitely a lack of nerdy black kinksters in erotic fiction and it was amazing to see a character that I immediately adored and identified with. And Daniel was such a good hero ugh! I wanted to kiss him myself and normally, I tend to loathe the heroes in many of the books I read. He's not an overgrown alpha was but he's not a pushover either. He's just... a great guy that's into kink.

Here's hoping that if there's more to come in this series, that Keira and Daniel show up again because I would love to see more of their journey together as they get married an balance their daily lives with kink. This was a fantastic read and I'm so going to reread the series now

I loved a lot of things about this interracial romance featuring two POC. I absolutely enjoyed Kiera's brand of unapologetic geekery, it's so rare to see an all-out nerd who isn't afraid to bust out three cosplay options to geek out at a con. She also can't help talking her way through things, especially during a scene and such- I share this trait and was stoked to see it on the page. Both Daniel and Keira are switches, which I'd never read before in kinky books, and that was super interesting to read. I also love the sense of BDSM community and chosen family that was brought into the book.

Two things that did frustrate me: Daniel's super black-and-white approach. Several times in the book I just wanted to reach him and knock some sense into his head, and I wished one of the other characters did that. Although, upon further reflection, I can appreciate the tension it brought to the story, having been caught up in it myself. The other thing, which definitely impacted my overall impression of the book, was the ending. For all of Daniel's hemming and hawing over the life choices he felt he had to make (huge, important decisions for sure), I'm not convinced but how quickly it was resolved in the narrative. I wish this had been more a novel than a novella.

Oh I was nervous with the S part but what an interesting ease into the lifestyle. What I think is the most interesting was the communication between Daniel ANF Kierra and that she had preexisting kinks. I really appreciated unraveling the shame or perversion with BDSM. This book could have a few more chapters bc it felt rushed towards the end. Like they sped through the breakup when there was a lot to discuss. Nonetheless I love these two together. Sorry Meegan you gotta a get another Dom 😑

Sadly, there were several elements of this novella that didn’t work for me: the instalove, the (actually problematic) conflict that somehow promptly transitions into a proposal??, and Daniel, who sounded hot but didn’t really have much personality beyond involvement in the kink lifestyle.
One positive is that the smut scenes were pretty fun.
However, I found the way Keira was just magically into all of Daniel’s kinks (despite initially knowing nothing about BDSM) to be pretty unrealistic. It would’ve been cool to see this couple navigate the challenges of kink alignment and polyamory/non-monogamy in a more careful way.

I really wavered between 3.5 stars and 4 stars. The only reason I'd deduct half a star was due to how short this book was. Things wrapped up fairly nicely in the end, but the story itself - along with the characters - was so compelling that I could have done two-hundred more pages and been perfectly happy.

Yes, I'm going to brag a bit and say I've been reading (and wrote) BDSM romance/erotica way before it became mainstream. I know the good stuff when I read it. I know the difference between authors who did their homework, and the bandwagon jumpers who think throwing in a few handcuffs and floggers makes a good story. This author easily belongs in the first category and it shows. Not only that, but she went there by writing a male switch (something romancelandia just can't wrap its narrow brain around). Contrary to conventional belief, it takes a strong man to submit. It takes confidence and to be secure in one's masculinity to just let go in such a primal way. It's a dynamic that's hard to capture, which is why it's the rare author who can pull it off.

One thing I've noticed about Ms. Witherspoon is the sexual autonomy of her heroines. In a genre chock-filled with contemporary grown-ass women who seem to think a clitoris is a dinosaur, it's nice to read about heroines who may not have much in the way of experience, but aren't stuck on stupid. Overall, Keira worked for me. I love geeky heroines, especially those who are a bit over the top. I especially love Black nerd chicks because there's just not enough of us in books and movies. I loved how this was just her. Yes, she's a fitness instructor but she's full-on nerd. She cosplayed, wrote fanfiction and attended conventions. I also loved how she didn't just jump into something when Daniel told her about his kink life. She actually used THE INTERNET and researched what being a "switch" meant. She wasn't judgmental, but was willing to admit she didn't fully understand the whole scene, despite knowingly working with two Doms.

Ah, then there's Daniel (my newest book boyfriend). The switch my switchiest dreams have always been made of. At first, I was a little "yes, of course the Asian guy is a switch because he's Asian". Granted, his character was really well depicted, there's not an ounce of stereotype in him, but it's one of those things I can't help thinking about given how Asian men tend to be stereotyped in the media. However, Daniel's fully fleshed out, the kind of alpha who doesn't have to beat his chest but watch out if you piss him off. I do need to shout this out to those in the nosebleed section though: A MALE SUB OR SWITCH IS NOT AUTOMATICALLY A BETA MALE. Not that I have anything against beta males (save those asshole incels). In fact, I love really well-written beta male romance heroes - the type who can whip ass then whip up a yummy creme brulee.

It was also cool that Daniel had a visible disability that didn't stop him from being sexy and sexual. He's strong enough to pick Keira up and playfully manhandle her. Seriously, Daniel was uber-swoonworthy. I loved how he patiently explained how his kink worked and was willing to indulge Keira's blooming curiosity. He genuinely liked Keira and was considerate of her vanilla sex state - almost to a self sacrificing degree.

And there's the problem: kink isn't just a hobby for Daniel. It literally helped him live again. It was a part of him from his early years, and the struggle is how to mesh his growing attraction to Keira with his BDSM. For Keira, it's how much of this world is she willing to understand and be comfortable with. Unlike most books, the two adults actually TALKED - though they could have done it sooner, lol.

My FAVORITE character without a doubt, had to be Mistress Evelyn. Tall, Black and beautiful with salt and pepper gray hair cut short. She kind of sounds like me when I turn sixty (lol). I'd love an entire book about her.

The sex scenes were hot! They were amazing and lo in behold, consent is sexy!!! Who knew that ASKING if something is okay or asking if the person is comfortable could be a turn on. And yes, aftercare after a scene. Extra cool points for that.

I guess this means I should read the other two previous books, right? Not yet. I want more Keira and Daniel.

I love Keira and Daniel. Actually, I love this whole trilogy, but I think Keira and Daniel are my favorite characters from it. Also I find that, even if some of the sex wasn't for me, I absolutely love the people. Another thing I love about this series is that even though it is about people in BDSM, it's not scary. Sometimes, you read or see something involving BDSM and you can't help but think "Oh dear god, why?!" I don't find that to be the case with the series. In fact, I like that the author does a good job of showing a healthy relationship between two consenting adults who have feelings for each other and not just people who are looking to hurt or embarrass each other.

I think my only dislike was the very end because, even though I knew there was a bit of a time jump, it seemed like Keira flipped a switch and became dominatrix extraordinaire and I liked the way they were before.

oooh this was an excellent read. loved Keira and Daniel together. ok i havent read the 2nd book but i loved this even more than FIT, book 1.

Keira was so nerdy and such a fangirl about her show which i adored, because when i'm into something I love gushing about it, and Daniel is so into listening to her go on and on about it. :) The way Keira explored her curiosity about certain aspects of BDSM was so well done, i thought. At no time did it feel like she was doing any of it because Daniel was pressuring her, it came across as genuine curiosity, even after initially being like nope! about everything Daniel was into.

Plus our heroine's a nerdy black fitness instructor and hero's a disabled Korean man who's also a pyrotechnics specialist and I just loved everything about them together. Their frank discussions (well except for the part where Daniel left some key details out >.>), they just communicate their needs and wants quite clearly.

loved it.

Set in Los Angeles, Keira is a comic book geek and personal trainer. Daniel is a pyrotechnic expert, and heavily into the BDSM scene as a switch.

When they have a not-date date, sparks they weren't expecting, fly. I love that she is the more dominant person in the developing relationship, that they are of different ethnicities (she's African American, he's Asian), and that he is disabled but not disabled by his disability, if that makes sense. Also, while I've read a fair number of books featuring BDSM, this is the first that really goes into the role and personality of a switch.

Disclaimer: Rebekah is a friend and I read a beta version of this novel (but I do NOT give five stars to all my friends). This was truly a pleasure to read and I will be rereading for the fun of it.

I really enjoyed this book! The dialogue was spot on, it was funny, and the characters were all very likable. I've said it once before and I'll say it again, I LOVE having nerdy POC in fiction. It's so rare to find a female lead who is nerdy and into her fandoms like I am...and so it's always refreshing to find a story with a character like this who is also well written. The sex was steamy and the couple somehow managed to stay really cute. Definitely a good read!

Well, that was...interesting. I would have given it four stars if it weren't for the editing issues and the short length that prevented me from really connecting on an emotional level with the characters. But, overall, I really enjoyed it. It's a cute, sweet romance with a nod to BDSM.

THOUGH I really screamed when I learned the main character is a geek of color while the love interest is Korean American. When will your faves tbh.

I should probably prefix this by saying that I don't read a lot of smut...like, the extent of my knowledge of it is through fanfiction...so, forgive me if don't know what I'm talking about.

Kiera is a proper nerd (I say that with much affection), a fitness trainer by day who geeks out over a sci fi show and generally despairs of ever finding a man. Dan is a pyrotechnics expert who lost his hand in a accident early in his career, but whose disability does not seem to get in the way of his ability to wield a paddle. Kiera is super vanilla, Dan is super not . Dan really wants to date Kiera but is terrified that she'll be freaked out by the fact he's a committed switch in a local BDSM club...

It's kinky. Very kinky. If you're under eighteen and reading this I'm gonna call your mum.

Ok, it's not terrifyingly kinky, mostly because Kiera is someone who is just beginning to explore what she likes, but if you don't like BDSM fic then this probably might make you feel uncomfortable. I liked it, but it was really short, 100 pages, and the ending was so blunt??

Something I really did like was the diversity: interacial couple, amputee rep, bisexual protagonist. I also liked the fact that the consent part of BDSM was absolutely stressed, consent and feeling safe is so damn important.

So, enjoyable, but so short, I barely felt I'd settled down to read before it was over.

I truly enjoyed the first two books - but I loved this one. Really, the only thing wrong with it is that I wish we could have MORE. Self-described geek Keira & friend-of-a-friend Daniel were so much fun to get to know. They each appreciated the other for who they were. Daniel's delight in Keira's exuberance was downright adorable. I haven't read many books where I'm sitting there with a goofy grin on my face through nearly the whole thing. Even the seeeexxxxyyyyy scenes were filled with lots of laughs. Except for that one part where Weatherspoon made me cry. I was a little emotional on behalf of Keira, but it all worked out between our fabulous couple and they get their fantastic HEA.

We get a few little updates about the couples from previous books which is nice. There's also a bonus Christmas-themed short story at the end called, Blessed. Even MORE Grant & Vi.

My favourite of this series - Keira and Daniel are absolutely charming as they fall for each other and find common ground in their attraction. It's also really nice seeing an interracial romance where neither party is white. One quibble that I have for the whole series is stuff happens off page that I would like to see on-page. Other than a couple of mentions of Daniel at the club in a previous book, we don't really see the depth of Daniel's attachment to his Leather Family, and it would have been lovely to have Keira and Eleanor's conversation on page.

There's a little bonus Christmas story at the end, labelled 3.5 in the series. It's not the same as Wrapped, the Christmas story that Goodreads has labelled as 3.5.

I expected more, therefore I wanted more and…it just felt like there were too many gaps in development. More chemistry, more kink? More relationship. I loved the open and fluid communication but it just lacked so much for me which was disappointing. I’m glad I got to see Meegan again though cuz I know her book is coming soon! And I’m so anticipating it. Unfortunately this made the short list for me. 🥺🥴

This felt like a 5⭐️ read in the first few chapters but there were some things that brought the rating down for me. I really loved how comfortable they made each other feel and how natural their relationship was. The rep was also great. However, the insta-love vibes and his behavior towards the end ruined it for me. I think I would have enjoyed it more if it was longer, the time jumps and telling not showing were also something I didn’t enjoy. Overall, it’s a quick and steamy read but it had the potential to be even better.
