Jaijothi and Sivajothi are sisters. Sivajothi dies after giving birth to a son. Jaijothi raises the boy and during this time Saravanabavan starts to fall in love with her. Jaijothi doesn't like this idea. He says that if she wants the boy, she will have to marry him. She marries for the sake of the boy and she notices that there was something odd about her sister's relationship with her husband. The rest of the story is about how she discovers the truth behind her sister's past.
