One night they wished on a magical pendant to be that perfect girl they would like to see in the mirror. They wake up in their ‘Cinderella Bodies’ – sexy and better looking but they only have until midnight to make the most of it..Her ‘Cinderella Body’ boosts her confidence to invite Parker to lunch. He surprises her with an invite to his charity fashion show. Tess has everything for her magical night – her Prince, the dress, the shoes but she worries when the clock strikes twelve if he’ll like the ‘real’ her.

Star-Gazing Lovers This is a continuation of the Cinderella Body Club anthology series. Tess Andrews has had a thing for Parker Walsh, but he never would notice her, after all, he works with models all day long. Photographer Parker Walsh would love to approach Tess, but she always seems standoffish. When Tess and her girlfriends make a wish on a pendent, magic happens, and she sees herself as beautiful and confident. She accepts a lunch date with Parker and then agrees to join him at a charity auction. Parker dotes on her and she feels beautiful, at least for the magical 24 hours. What happens when the day changes? Parker feels she is what he has been missing in his life, a life partner. Can these two star-crossed lovers have their happily ever after.
It would seem difficult to think of an extended visit of girlfriends that doesn’t take the opportunity at some point during the conversation for sharing of each other’s own perception of physical attributes – regardless of the ages of the girls or women. Analysis of one’s own physical beauty seems part of the life-long pursuit of happiness for a girl – a woman. Then think of the possibilities that begin with the setting of a girls’ night with the dearest of friends in comfy clothes, uninterrupted time for sharing conversation, wine, home-made treats of delicious fresh bruschetta on crostini and exquisite death-by-chocolate squares. The shared conversation includes the show-and-tell of a grandmother’s gift of a beautiful locket to her namesake granddaughter Cami and the retelling of grandmother’s story – well, at least part of the story as shared up until Grandma Cami fell asleep. But the possibility of a magical locket gives the four (4) friends, Cami, Tess, Raven, and Annalise pause to create a “Cinderella” wish of their own for the next 24 hours. Will a wish come true? Is there any possibility that the wish could last longer than 24 hours?
I must add that I loved the feature of a daughter’s birthday gift to her mother of a book and the promise of attending the book signing together on the author’s scheduled day to visit their city of Portland. The insert of a feature such as this distinctive joy is one of the elements that raise my enjoyment of a story to a higher level.
I wish I could gift this series of stories to all adults who are searching for self-acceptance, self-confidence, and self-worth. I’d also like to gift this story to every public library, family member or friend that is searching for a special story to give to a reader searching for the understanding that each of us is in the driver’s seat, holding the keys to our own public persona . I am not so naïve to think that all those searching for self-acceptance and self-confidence will have the same experience as Cami and Lance in Story 1 and now Tess and Parker in Story 2 but perhaps the stories can be the catalyst and inspiration to initiate a conversation that leads to a new beginning.
I am looking forward to the next titles in the series with delightful anticipation as my guess would be that the next girls’ nights might also spark possibilities for Raven and then Annalise or for Annalise and then Raven!
Spellbound Cinderella is a romance novella written by Angela Ford. It is book two in The Cinderella Body Club series. Tess Andrews finds herself head over heels for the photographer Parker Walsh. He's everything he could possibly dream of in a guy. The only problem is, he's also surrounded by very attractive models. She feels plain and dull compared to them and doesn't think she will ever catch his attention. Then, she makes a wish on a friend's family heirloom that comes true and makes her attractive. Can she build the courage to talk to Parker? Will they get together and for longer than just the twenty four hours the wish lasts?
I loved this story. I found the message the story underlies very inspirational. I feel it's a very positive message. The story itself is adorable too. All the characters are lovable. I found myself rooting for Tess all the way. I really think Parker is a very ideal and charming man. I may even add him to my book boyfriend list!
The only thing I didn't like about this book was that it wasn't long enough. I didn't like the fact that I didn't get a chance to know many of the background characters. I felt they were kind of brushed in vaguely. The story still worked the way it is. I would have just liked to seen more. Other than that small little detail, it was perfect! I loved it!
I fully recommend this story. Not just for the story itself, but for the lesson inside the story as well. I think many romantic types will fall in love with this story. I'm glad that I was given the opportunity to read the the latest book from one of my favorite authors. I can't wait to read many more by her!
I want to say Thank you to Netgalley for giving me the opportunity of reading this book. Tess Andrews lacked self-confidence. She believed she was ‘Plain-Jane’. What an amazing short story. I normally don’t do short stories cause I feel like a lot of background is missing from the story but this one was amazing. The author did an amazing job. I haven’t read the first in the series but I’m glad I read this one. This is my first time reading a book by this author. Can’t wait to see what she has planned for the next one.
If looking for a book to curl up with to chase the blues away this one would do the job. You are introduced to Tess who hides away from her true self being her own worst enemy I would say. Her job brings her around alot of surface beauty. She also has her eyes on one guy Parker whom she thinks she does not have a chance with. Her and her friends get together and around talk and a story with a locket they will make wishes. After that Tess will think she is different thanks to magic and this author will take you on her journey that will have her meet up with Parker with her thinking she will have a short time of dreams come true. Actually this is a story that shows beauty is deeper than skin and the essence of someone also has a great deal to do with it. The true heart of a man will also see that and what comes out will be pure magic in true form. This is a heart warming romance that will touch you all the way to your toes with a flow that will carry you along with that magic. It will also show love can nurture and grow once you quit hiding it from it. Received a copy for a honest review.
Spellbound Cinderella is book two in The Cinderella Body Club series. A series where four girlfriends make a wish on a locket, wishing they were beautiful, and looked like the girls they've always wanted to be. But of coarse there was a catch, the magic only lasted 24 hours, midnight to midnight.
For Tess feeling like plain-Jane, is not hard when you have models coming around frequently. Tess owns a small employment agency, which helps some of the models between shoots. Parker is the photographer who works with those models and on the same floor of her building. Feeling like a pain-Jane makes it hard for Tess to come out of her she'll and strike up a conversation with Parker. So when she woke up and found out the locket worked she was more than willing to step out of her comfort zone and talk to Parker. Will he be interested in her too? And if so will he still like her when the clock strikes twelve? This is a perfect modern Cinderella ugly duckling story. Sometimes how we see ourselves in not always how we are seen.
We all have something we want to change about ourselves. Tess & her friends make a wish one night to be able to be whatever they want for one day. Tess has been lusting after Parker for months but he doesn't see her as she is not gorgeous like all his subjects. Tess pucks up the courage and Parker asks her out. It turns out even better than she wished for and she knows that tomorrow it will all be back to normal. But Parker won't let her go without a fight he has found the woman that he has being waiting for. Tess doesn't believe Parker she is still plain and not what he is used to. A great story of love & wishing on a star. I love Angela's work so I knew that it was going to be another winner. A nice easy read for any age. this book was short and sweet. Tess had a biggest crush on photographer Parker but she never had a courage to talk to him even though she sees him daily. Tess and Parker both worked on the same floor but never talk to each other. Tess had friends got together and one of her best friend came showed her necklace from her grandma and shared magic story with her. just like Cinderella, magic will only last 24 hours. during 24. hours Tess finally Had a courage to talk to him and he invites her to his charity gala as his date. everything is going her way and finally Parker is within her reach but end is afraid this will only last until midnight. when time came she runs away from him.... will she find enough confidence to face him. I enjoyed reading this book. Parker is so sweet at the end.
This is the second in the series Cinderella Body Club Tess Andrews owns an employment agency that helps Parker Welsh with models. She has a crush on him and can't bring herself to talk to him because she believes she isn't pretty enough. Parker Welsh is an Internationally known fashion photographer and he feels like something is missing from his life. Tess after the "locket wish" believes herself pretty and talks to Parker. He invites her to a charity event. Their story is very sweet and a fast read. This is a cute series with a new twist on Cinderella Copy via Netgalley
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. Tess Andrews has a crush on Parker Walsh, but she thinks that she is too plain for him. One night, Tess and her girlfriends wish on a magical pendant to be perfect, beautiful girls. This gives Tess the confidence to finally talk to Parker.
This is a very short read, but it is written really well. I love the story of Cinderella and I love this story too.
One of my favorite stories of all time. Angela Ford has put a sweet romance spin on it. A pendant a group of friends and a handsome photographer. What more could a lonely woman need? Tess and her friends each make a wish to be a beautiful princess for 24 hours and get her prince charming. She has an interest in the supermodel photographer in the office next door. Can she get her prince charming to notice her? And does she have a happy ever after? Must read to find out....
I am loving this series! Both books have been quick reads that are packed with feels! This is the second book in the Cinderella Body Series and tells the story of one of a group of friends, Tess, and her experience after making a wish on a "magical" locket. I do like how each of the stories has shown how we can be our own worst critic and how we see ourselves can directly effect our actions and choices. I can't wait to delve into the next book!

I really enjoyed this. I love the low-key self esteem plot, how she has low self esteem from working with these models but this one-day cinderella wish is able to see that this hole time the man she has been crushing on has liked her just they way she is & that the cinderella wish only affected the way she sees herself not how everyone else sees her. I loved that. Can't wait to read the rest of the girls stories.
I have read a couple of books now by Angela Ford so I was really looking forward to reading this one and I wasn't disappointed. I really enjoyed the story and although it was a shorter read, I don't think that it needed anymore. The characters were great and I loved both of them and was really happy with the ending - thoroughly enjoyed this one and look forward to reading more from Angela in the future.

Let me start by saying I didn't hate this book, I just didn't love it.
It was a light quick read, but I didn't feel much of a connection to any of the characters. There just wasn't much depth. I found myself losing interest quite quickly, I just couldn't find any emotion in these characters.
What a fun take on the Cinderella concept. Cami and her friends wish on a locket and they all wake up more beautiful than when they went to sleep. She uses this as an opportunity to finally gather up her courage and talk to the handsome man in her building. Turns out, he had been wanting to get to know her for a while and always saw her as the beauty she is. Really enjoyed this story.
Having read the first book in this series, I knew what I was getting myself into when I started Spellbound Cinderella. I enjoyed this installment just as much as the first. It was a sweet read and though it is only novella length, it has certainly made me want to check out other works by Angela Ford. If her other writings also promote self-worth I'm sure they will be well worth it.
First time reading this author...I had to be in the right frame of mind for this book..so it took me a while. Not exactly sure why as it was cute, and funny and quirky. I think most people can relate to this story as most of us have self doubt/self esteem issues are some point in our lives.
If for one night you could have a different body would you. That's what happens for Tess. But what happens when the clock strikes midnight. Will she lose that perfect body & the man of her dreams
