Why am I addicted to this series? It’s like crack.

A double-D Italian espresso machine named Espressiano with the personality of an excitable puppy…oh go on then

Underneath the smut, there is a genuinely good plot where 3 “monsters” are more attentive to a a woman than any real man could ever be.

And on top of all that, these books are filled with banter that will have you giggling your way through.

Go on…you know you want to.

At the end of book 2, Abby had just taken delivery of her next potential bond and he's something. Espressiano makes the perfect cup of coffee and he's THRILLED with all his attachments and gauges. He's also thrilled to be back in the world and not tucked away in a corner cabinet, forgotten.

Not going to lie, all these monster-y appliances have their stories and they're all horrible in their own way. To be put away, just gathering dust and forgotten is just...sad. Even if Abby wasn't a Keystone (or a kleides), the fact she accepts them and gives each of her monsters purpose again is something. The fact she has bondable feelings for each of them makes things even better. Except, you know, how those bonds and those feelings also put her in the crosshairs of the Flour Council.

Honestly, their name makes them sound like a comic book villain. But they have the power to do very bad things to her, so they're...ahh, well, actually, that does make them kinda comic book villainy. I will say their use of rigid rules and regulations that are so vague it takes a law degree (mostly) to figure out what's going on makes them WAY scarier than any comic book villain could ever be.

Anywho. Abby has a new potential bond. Her two current bonds are okay with adding another. Mostly because the more bonds Abby can collect and hold the less likely she can be disappeared without warning. So they accept Espressiano and his excited steaming and big personality because keeping Abby safe is the most important thing.

Meanwhile, things are getting murky on the Flour Council end. Not everyone within the organization is okay with the way things are run. Not everyone has an evil agenda. But some do. Which means Abby, her monsters, and the people who she has at her back need to be careful with who they trust.

I've enjoyed every book in this series and all I can say is Abby has a DOUBLE OVEN in her future and YESSSSSS!

The series really picks up a bit for me there personally. The plot picks up more with some complications and details and new characters are coming in with more details

Now the spice started to pick up in the last one, I think my expectations were a lot higher but to get DPed by an espresso machine is every caffeine addicts dream

And I'm into an espresso machine now

Apparently in going to continue being that person who openly tells people about the monster smut I happily read and the FMC who does all sorts of dirty things with sentient kitchen appliances. But these are just so we'll written, so funny, and so downright good. Excellent reading and amazing writing as always. I'll be needing installments 4 and 5 immediately.

Read it on a whim

I am very impatiently waiting for the next book. To my great surprise, I absolutely love this series and its characters. Wish there were 20 more books.
