Martin Luther King, Jr. dreamed about a day when people would not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. This book introduces young readers to a man who fully believed in fairness.

This book was great. I think students need to learn about great figures in US history. Not only that but students need to see the good and the bad of the US. There were times when the US was good and times were it was going in the wrong direction. Martin Luther King helped steer the country in the right direction. This book goes into detail about how he grew up and when exactly he decided to take a stand against racism. This book would be perfect to use in the beginning of a lesson on civil rights . Or this book could be read for students before MLK day. I plan on reading books to my students on many of the great leaders of our country. If I cannot read the books to them then I plan on making them available in my classroom
