Seascapes, the flight of seabirds, celtic monks, forgiveness, and wilderness--these form some of the themes of this fourth volume of reflective poems from the pen of monk-poet David Hodges. `We all need more poetry in our lives, poetry that is accessible and profound, poetry that is prayer,' writes author Esther de Waal. `What better place to find this than from a Cistercian monk, on an island, off the coast of Wales?'
I have read all of David Hodges books. I re read them all often and have favourite poems in each book. I find all of his books inspiring, uplifting and thought provoking. Often I have used some of David Hodges poems in meditations and devotionals I have done at Tenby Salvation Army.
In this particular bookone of my favorite opems is Unspoilt Beauty.
If you like poetry with some spirituality and food for thought, then I reccommend all of David Hodges books to you. I admire the way he writes and thinks, his work is truely inspirational.
