I like Michael Cole’s writing as they are literary “comfort food”. Fun books that don’t get into them with great expectations of philosophical or intellectual depth or originality. With that stated, this book is far more derivative and shallow than any of his other books that I read, and there is almost zero character development. It’s a very short book, and that’s a good thing.
