A decent read.

Overall I thought this was "ok". The MC is a 15 year old street rat who trusts next to no one for good reason and gets his miraculous stroke of luck to gain his abilities. The world is a rather interesting take on a post apocalyptic/post system Earth. Plenty of world building that can be done and will be interesting to delve into. The characters are all reasonably well written, but definitely fall into some classic tropes and behaviors that were predictable. I'll definitely read book 2, but this didn't make it into my top 10 list by any means. Worth picking up anyway!

Couldn't put this book down!!! 10/10

Wow!!! I absolutely loved this book and read it in one day. It has adventure, desperation, tons of action, running and fighting, and a unique twist on the imperfect, mysterious characters! The writing, the pacing, the dialogue! I enjoyed that this wasn't your typical "apocalyptic setting" but it had so many layers to it with a young teen survivor, mercenaries turned protectors, slums, enchanted forests, caves, teamwork, insane risks, crazy animals, killers, LitRPG madness, etc.
PLEASE release the 2nd book sooner! I don't want to wait 6 months for the release! Thanks for writing a great book😊.

Fantastic, highly engaging

Fantastic, highly engaging read that breathes brand new life into the post-apocalyptic LitRPG genre. Instead of relying on the same tired survival tropes, this book delivers an incredibly refreshing and original take on its world-building.

I didn't find the system or the characters very interesting I'm afraid. It seemed quite repetitive to me.
