Wolf Fever – Catherine Vale
Short and sweet, with a bit of hotness and sass!
The plot is new and fresh and drags you along for the ride, and what a ride it is. The characters are hot and sassy, and when they finally decide enough is enough, wow! The sparks fly, and it’s not just the air that’s sizzling. Great read.

A Shot at Love – Gina Kincade.
Love the way Gina has delivered this story through Micah’s reminiscing of his relationship with Jason. This book is unique in many ways, the POV one of them, and the fact that there is a mixed pairing of shifters, eagle and panther. The plot is awesome and carries your attention until the end. The characters grab your heart and squeeze, forcing you to feel what they feel. Make sure you have the tissues handy. There are many heartwarming parts to this story.

Dragon’s Dream Dancer – Jami Brumfield
This is the first piece of work I have read from this author. What a wonderful surprise. I love the plot of this. I found it to be interesting, catching and keeping my attention throughout it’s entirety. The characters have lots of spunk, keeping things very interesting. I hope to read more from Jami in the future. Well done.

Hers to Protect – Amy Lee Burgess
Awesome! I totally loved this. Short and sweet, and full of sappy love. It’s completely opposite from most shifter stories, where the gorgeous hunk of a man is human, and his beautiful woman is the wolf shifter who gets to protect him. An easy read, but make sure you have tissues handy.

The Talented Mr. MacGregor – Tasha Black
Oh my! What a great introduction to a series. The plot is extremely well planned out and written, with a flow that carries you along. The characters are intriguing, mysterious and full of life. The book certainly didn’t finish the way I thought it would, and this is not a bad thing, just totally unexpected and completely different. A definite must read. Now that Ms. Black has my attention, I will need to read the series. Well done!

Exiled: A Lunar Falls Novella – Lashell Collins
Tissues please! What a great story. Loved this! I am looking forward to reading more about the Lunar Falls pack. This is the first book from this author that I have had the pleasure of reading, and hope it is not the last. The plot is fantastic and the characters are just as great. It all ties in together wonderfully and brings you on a great rollercoaster of a ride. A must read.

The Wolf in the Neighborhood – Phoenix Johnson
Another great read with a new twist. Another new author for me to follow. This piece was very well written. It was easy to follow with enough twists and turns to keep your attention throughout it’s entirety. The characters are tough and cuddly at the same time. The ending…. Well, definitely not what I was expecting. What is it? You will have to read it to find out. It’s worth the read.

Scent of a Scandal – Annie Nicholas
A world empty of humans, you will only find species of the paranormal decent. Welcome to the world of Eorthe. What a new concept for a great new series. Annie Nicholas has a wonderful imagination, of which she is creating a series worth reading. The plot is different from any other I’ve read previously. The characters are cute and quirky, and tend to grab you and drag you into their world. Well written and definitely worth the read.

Desert Wolf 2 – Anna Lower
Once again, I am truly surprised by the contents of a book. This one tells the tale of a couple already mated. The plot is creative, with a fresh new look at what goes on in the minds of fated alpha mates, as they travel down their journey of togetherness. Even though this is part of a series, it was easy enough to follow and understand, more like a stand alone. I’m sure that reading part 1 would have given more history on the couple, and hope to read it, if only to follow more of how the couple came to be together. Loved this!

Captive Moonlight – Sarah Makela
A new twist to “the wild wild west”! I have had the pleasure of reading many of Sarah’s books, and this one is as good as the others. She has a way of capturing you and dragging you along for the ride. This book has a strong plot that is easy to follow, yet different enough that you want to read more. The characters are strong, and easily pictured, gaining your interest more and more as you continue on reading their journey to freedom to finally be together. The perfect way to finish the boxed set.

"Oh my a truly Amazing box set!"
This collection has some amazing Author's in it!. The Character's in each story is fantastic!. Wow you get eleven fantastic stories!
"Wolf Fever by Catherine Vale" story is incredible it is steamy hot and funny to.
"Gina Kincade's A shot at love" was really not my kind of story . I am not into M/M type stories but I am sure it is really good.
"Dragon's Dream Dancer by Jami Brumfield" is amazing!!. You have the sexy hot Dragon shifters!, Plus you have action, suspense and even humor!.
"Her's to protect by Amy Lee Burgess" is fantastic . The story line is wonderful. This is a sweet, touching and suspenseful story.
" The talented Mr. MacGregor by Tasha Black" is amazing,funny with lots of mystery.

"Wolf Fever"

Having read Catherine's "Jagged Lovers" series I was excited when I saw that she'd added to the boxset. 'Wolf Fever' was everything I have come to expect from Catherine, a fun, erotic short story, although I found it just a tad short...

"A shot at Love"
by Gina Kincade
I have never read anything by Gina before, but I did enjoy this short story about love thought lost.
P.S. I LOVED how both main characters, even though not together still kept an eye on one another. My only problem was the length, I coule have read SO much more.

"The Dragon's Dream Dancer" (Demon Fairy Tales, book II)

I love reading anything by Jami & 'The Dragon's Dream Dancer' was no different. I was quickly transported into the story... I would love to read book 1 of this series though, but you can understand what is happening without reading book 1.

"Hers to Protect"

'Hers to Protect' is my first read by Amy, I really enjoyed it. I found myself gripped into the story, hoping that the main characters could forgive & find love again. I enjoyed the length & will be keeping my eyes open for anything else by Amy in the future.

"The Talented Mr. MacGregor"
by Tasha Black
I LOVE Tasha's "Curse of the Alpha" & "Fate of the Alpha" series & to learn that 'The Talented Mr. MacGregor' pre-dates those wolves at Tarker's Hollow.... made me do the happy dance. I was instantly sucked back into the lives of the Tarkers Hollow wolves & I LOVED it!!

"Exiled: A Lunar Falls Novella"

'Exiled' was my first ever read from Lashell & I thoroughly enjoyed it.... I'll be looking at the "Lunar Falls" series & the rest of her books ASAP... oh & adding them to my TBR. I found myself pulled into this story of 2 lost souls finding one-another & finding love, WOW what an ending!!

"The Wolf in the Neighborhood"
by Phoenix Johnson
WOW, this book kept me gripped until the very end. I couldn't put it down! I'll be checking out anything else written by Phoenix. Steamy sex scenes, fast paced, action packed & what an ending!

"Scent of a Scandal"
by Annie Nicholas
What can I say about this one??? This reminded me of 'Romeo & Juliette', except without the devastating ending. I LOVED IT! Will be checking out Annie's other work ASAP.

"Desert Wolf 2: A Twin Moon Ranch Short Story"

OMG, happy dance.... I LOVE Anna's "Twin Moon Ranch" series! I love the story of Ty & Lana, & getting little looks ino their future, seeing what is happening.... just makes the story that much better.

"Captive Moonlight"
by Sarah Makela
I felt like I was inside an old Western book or movie. Transported back in time... although the first scene wasn't exactly what a betrothed couple are meant to be doing. It helped set the scene & let us, the reader/s, understand the commitment between the lead characters. What a sassy, brave lead female, especially in a time when women leaving their parents home before marriage was frowned upon.


Overall I really enjoyed reading these 10 amazing stories by 10 amazing authors. There where a few that I'd already read books from & was exctied to see what else they'd come up with. Also I found some new authors, & enjoyed the introduction to their work. I will be keeping an eye out on any upcoming books from ALL the authors in this boxset.

Catherine Vale and Jami Brumfield stand out as the leaders in the pack!

I just finished reading Alpha's on the Prowl. I have given it an overall rating of 5 stars as I didn't want to take away from the authors who I feel are the leaders in the pack. Therefore I have also broken my review down as I think there is a little something for everyone. Please keep in mind this is simply my opinion of which may be very different from other readers.


Wolf Fever by Catherine Vale 5 Stars.
Really enjoyed this one, even though the ending was a little abrupt.


A Shot at Love by Gina Kincade 4 Stars
Not my usual reading material, but I still found it to be well written although from a woman’s perspective it was a little on the sweet side.

Dragon’s Dream Dancer by Jami Brumfield 5 Stars
Thoroughly enjoyed this one, it was full of unique twists and turns.


Hers to Protect by Amy Lee Burgess 4 Stars
Unique twist on shifters, I liked it but there were a couple of edit issues that need attention.

The Talented Mr. MacGregor by Tasha Black 3 Stars
This one was probably one of my least favourites, it was quite jumbled in the storyline and I felt that it didn’t flow, it jumped.

Enjoyable short story with some new twists and some old twists on shifters.

On the Run by Bethany Shaw 5 Stars
This one is a good solid plot with well-established characters.

The Wolf In The Neighborhood by Phoenix Johnson 4 Stars
I found the plot to be unique in that it has some old paranormal were-world traditions mixed in with some new ones.

Scent of a Scandal by Annie Nicholas 4 Stars
Unusual spin on the shifter world. Well written and an enjoyable read.

Desert Wolf 2 by Anna Lower 3 Stars
This one struggled to grab my attention. This however is simply my opinion and should not be used to judge this particular short story.

Captive Moonlight by Sarah Mäkelä 4 Stars
This one reads like a Western versus werewolf shifter. I found the plot to be unique, although I usually don’t appreciate the Wild West as other readers probably do.

The proofread could have been a little tidier on a number of the short stories, but it is not enough to detract from the overall storylines.

Novella short and oh so sweet, with some passion and cockiness thrown into the mix.
The storyline is new, different; it takes you along for a ride, and what a ride it ends up being. The characters are original and earthy, and when they finally decide they’ve had enough, wow! Look out for the fireworks! The sparks fly, and it’s not just the fireworks that are Scorching. This is a must read story!

This is my first time reading a story by this author. Great storyline premise by the author and I found the story to be one to hold my attention and keep my attention throughout the entire story. The characters have lots of spirt. Definitely a way to keep things intriguing. I hope to read more from Jami in the future. Well done. Note, there is a book 1 out there but you can read this story without needing to read part 1 to read this story.

OMG, this is a terrific story!!!! Completely enjoyed this story. . This was novella short story full of heat-- delicious, and earthy . It’s so different from what you would read in shifter stories, where the sexy man is human, and his sensual woman is the wolf shifter who gets to protect him. A super read, but just to warn ahead:: keep tissues handy.

The Talented Mr. MacGregor – Tasha Black
Oh good golly molly! This is a terrific introduction to a series. The storyline is extremely well thought out, with a flow of ease that sweeps the reader away for a ride this you do not want to get off. The characters are full of life, almost mystical, and lively. The book took a course that I didn’t see coming; there were some twists that the author put in the readers path. I am not saying this is a bad thing but just surprising.. A definite must read. I need to read this series now that the author has gotten my attention-must read the series.

OMG, here is another story that requires tissues. Not saying this is a bad thing, it is just the authors here have written some really good stories!
This is a GREAT story & I loved this book from first paragraph! I am truly looking forward to reading more in the Lunar falls world & more about the Lunar Falls pack. This is the first book from this author that I have come across and I hope to read more from her soon. The story is outrageously good and the characters are just as fantastic. They all tie in together with some great plot word build ups and the author brings you on a great ride of your life during this story. Another must read!

Here is another new great read with a new story twist. This story, I found, was very well written. Everything was played out with enough twists and turns to keep your attention through it’s whole story. The characters are fair but firm but embraceable at the same time. There are some story twists that I didn’t see coming—like the ending…. Well, definitely not what I was expecting. I am sure you want to know what it is…You just have to get the box set to find out what it is. I can assure you that it will love this story and it is good. Very Worth the Read!!

A world with no humans, you will only find paranormal set. Welcome to the world of Eorthe. What a new concept for a great new series. Annie Nicholas has a great imagination, which she is putting to good use because she has written a terrific new series. The story is very unique and is different from anything I believe I have read currently. The characters are sassy and off the wall, and take you into their world. Fantastically written and recommend reading.

Desert Wolf 2 – Anna Lower
This book is awesome!. This book is of a couple already mated and expecting a baby. The story is fresh, with a new look at what goes thru the minds of fated alpha mates, as they go thru a new journey of welcoming a new baby and starting a new chapter in their life. Even as this is part of a series, I was able to follow the storyline that was already there; this felt more like a stand alone. I’m sure that reading part 1 would have given more history on the couple. Even though I didn’t have part1, if I had part1, it would have shown me how they got together and how they came to be together and arrived to this point. I still loved this story as it is here and cant wait to read more in this series. Fantastic and a MUST READ.

Captive Moonlight – Sarah Makela
Here is a new twist to “the wild wild west” idea by the author. I have read other books by the author and this is just as good by the author. She has a way of getting your attention in her books from the get go and bringing you along for the ride of your life. This story has a fantastic plot that grabs your attention from first paragraph and keeps you hooked until the end. The characters are headstrong, and you can easily see them in your head, and there are twists as you continue reading rooting for the outcome to happen the way you hope for as you continue on reading their journey to their final freedom to finally be together. This story is the final in the box set and a great way to end it , on the perfect note.

I used to avoid anthologies because I didn’t like short stories and I hadn’t really found any authors to to convince of a good story in a limited amount of pages. With there now being so many new authors and anthologies out there, I look at it as a tool to find a great author whose story will have me clawing at their website for more. This anthology was no exception Since this is an anthology, my overall rating is an average of the individual ratings I gave each story.
Wolf Fever by Catherine Vale
Isabella just got a new neighbor and ever since he moved in, she can’t get him out of her mind. Little does she know that Marshall has the same pull, he’s just been resisting. When he sees her at a party one night, resistance is futile. Like all of the stories in this anthology, this was very quick and very steamy. However, the author does a great job with filling the pages with enough that you glimpse into this world and want to read more. Definitely my favorite story in this anthology. 5 stars
A Shot at Lover by Gina Kincade
Micah broke up with Jason several months before, thinking they shouldn’t be together. Now he realizes that they were meant to be, but is it too late? I felt this was a fully fleshed out story within approximately 40 pages. Well written. 4 stars
Dragon’s Dream Dancer by Jami Brumfield
While being sent on a mission to find a dream assassin, Trey finds the girl of his dreams, literally. Unfortunately she’s the sister of his target. This was a very quick and yet full story. Both main characters were fleshed out enough that you got a good feel for their personalities. The author was able to quickly build a full world with a full story and leave it wide open for future stories in this world. 4 stars
Hers to Protect by Amy Lee Burgess
Ryan is a fairly new corporate exec. He regrets letting Hailey get away in college when he wrongfully misjudged her. Now, it looks like Hailey is back in his life after she saves him while working security for his company. He only has to convince her he was wrong and that he changed. I didn’t care for this story. The plot wasn’t actually bad. I didn’t care for either main character. I found Ryan to be a weak-minded individual and Hailey very immature with serious mood swings. 1 star
The Talented Mr. MacGregor by Tasha Black
JD MacGregor has found himself named the interim Alpha. This has increased his inner-wolf to be a bit more outer and have the bulk of the female population out to itch a scratch. I found this to be a cute mystery that had me chuckling. The author did a great job of keeping me entertained and breaking the monotony of stories with the same plots. 5 stars
Exiled by Lashell Collins
Zach was exiled from his wolf pack in Ohio for siding with the wrong man. While in exile, he runs in to Sarah, the daughter of the man he sided with, on her own personal exile, and it seems, his destined mate. Zach isn’t sure he can convince Sarah to be with him due to the circumstance. After he finally does, he might have to face the man he betrayed, all for the love of his mate. I liked this story and the build up around the two characters. I thought the author did a decent job of putting in a full story on limited pages. The only complaint I would have is that, while the meet up was timed very well, I just felt that everything after that was really rushed. Still a good read. 3.5 stars

Krissy is sunbathing on her roof when she’s found out by her new neighbor Derek. From there, sparks fly, until her ex shows up, revealing more about Derek than he intended. This story didn’t really work for me. For one, I didn’t Krissy’s character. Plus with the way her personality was written, she wouldn’t be the type to be targeted by someone with her ex’s personality. I also felt that Derek’s perfection and story just didn’t work for me. 1 star
Scent of a Scandal by Annie Nicholas
Set in a different world, Awe and Isnay are from two warring packs. They meet every time they get a chance. Only problem is neither of their alphas will approve of the mating. This story was quick and decently put together. I’m not a huge fan of other world-type stories though. I also didn’t get a good feel for the two main characters to get their connections. 3 stars
Desert Wolf 2 by Anna Lower
Ty is a fairly new Alpha with a very pregnant mate. All he wants to do is take her away for a few days to allow her to relax and for him to fret about becoming a first time father. Unfortunately, things just don’t always go as planned. I really liked this story. Without knowing the first story that brought these two together, you get a good feel about their personalities and their feelings for each other while also getting a decent story. 4 stars
Captive Moonlight by Sara Makela
After a midnight tryst, Charlotte witnesses her betrothed taken captive by men. When she can’t get anyone, including the town sheriff to help her rescue him, she takes it upon herself. I liked this story. The way the author wrote the circumstances each character was going through rather than just a lot of sex gave the reader not only a full story within 30 pages, but a good look at how both main characters are. 4 stars

Well, I finally finished another anthology. This one took me about nine months to finish and I gotta say I wasn’t really impressed with them that much. Obviously if I took my sweet ass time with them.

One thing that is standing out to me is the fact that there is NO FRICKING TABLE OF CONTENTS!! So if I wanted to…IDK, REVIEW EACH BOOK INDIVIDUALLY, I would have to go through the anthology page by page to find the title and author of each book.

No fucking way am I doing that. Call me lazy, IDC, that’s a whole lot of effort for some books I barely remember.

So I can only go based on my most recent memory of these stories, which is sad to say, mediocre. This will be the shortest review of an anthology ever because of my laziness.

That’s…that’s about it really. They had alphas and they were on the prowl, but none really stuck to me as super awesome.

In this story we have a male shifter who is not sure about his romance with another male shifter. He needs time to think but when he thinks another is taking his place he makes his decision real fast. Very hot and steamy. A good read.

Exiled : A Lunar Falls Novella by Lashell Collins
This was a very sweet wholesome almost kind of story. A family is torn after 2 members betray the pack , the daughter goes off on her own and leaves her family and mother behind. While in another town working at a bar she runs into one of her brothers old friends who is also exiled. What they don't know is they are now family. I really enjoyed this story.


All of these stories have one thing in common. Hot Sexy Protective Alpah's. I have to say I enjoyed reading and will continue to read the others. Alot of these authors are new to me but I will continue to check out their works. Keep in mind these are very short stories but that does not take away from them at all.

This is a collection of Sexy Hot Alpha's books. I have really enjoyed reading the ones I have gotten too and I will continue to read the rest of them. This is a mix of authors that I know and some are my first time reading but I will definitely continue to read their books. Be reminded that these are short novellas but they will capture your attention and your heart.

ARC for an honest review!!

I love supernatural and this book brings in tenfolds. There is little I didn't like about this book. Hell, I even started stalking some authors after I read their story.

I cannot wait to see what other things these authors offer.

What is there more to say besides giving it 5 stars and saying that I loved it.

Besides the words scrotum and fulcrum, which are unsexy and totally not necessary and appeared in only 1 story, everything was amazing.

This boxed set features alpha shifter romances for almost everyone; from werecats, bears and dragons. One of the stories in this set is even a M/M romance. Boxed sets are a great way to find new authors and stories to read. I particularly enjoyed Wolf Fever by Catherine Vale and Exiled by Lashell Collins.

Sarah Makela is one of my favorite paranormal authors so I really liked her story Captive moonlight. Charlotte and Joe's story followed well and enjoyed their adventure. This is a great price for so many stories.

But he runs into a problem when he meets her sister, who seems to be his mate. 4. Here to Protect by Amy Lee Burgess - This is a story about love lost & second chances. Ryan messed up his chance at Love with Hailey. Now he has to prove he's worthy of her of her & a second chance . Gr8 book & gr8 writer. 5. The Talented Mr. MacGregor by Tasha Black - Has ha is one of my favorite writers. So reading this story was a definite great because it's a part of the "Tarker's Hollow" series. Who wouldn't be wet with a hottie without pants at a dinner party. Gr8 story & gr8 writer . 6. Exiled: A Lunar Falls novella by Lashell Collins - Zach is in trouble. He's been exiled from his pack for going against his Alpha, running into the man who has sworn to kill him, & lost souls finding each other. I laughed, but mostly I cried. Gr8 story & a gr8 writer. 7. On the Run by Bethany Shaw - Declan & his sibs are running for their lives because of trouble with their Alpha. He meets a beautiful white wolf, Marcia. The Wolf in the Neighborhood by Phoenix Johnson - This is the first book in the series "Wolf Smitten". This book is filled with secrets. Derek a sexy vet moves next door to Krissy and they click. But Krissy's ex, who abused her when they were together, is trying to get her back. Can Derek keep his secret? Or is Krissy's ex going to mess it all up? Lots of twists in this story & I can't wait to read the next one. Gr8 story and gr8 writer . 9. Scent of a Scandal by Annie Nicholas - Imagine a world that has no humans on it &the only life are paranormals. In this group are werewolves. Two people fall in love, Awe & Isnay. But they are from different packs, & worse, Isnay is the Alphas daughter. They are denied a blessing from their packs for a mating. So now they need to figure out if their love is stronger than the rules. Gr8 story & gr8 writer . 10. Desert Wolf 2 by Anna Lowe - This is a story about undying love, with a "big, bad Alpha", Ty, who's mate, Lana, is pregnant. He decides to take her away for a few days to lighten her load, & get some much needed rest. But there's a possible threat, so Lana tries to be diplomacy to calm things down. Gr8 story & gr8 writer. 11. Captive Moonlight by Sarah Makela - Charlotte, a human, is betrothed to Joe, a werewolf. Joe is captured by bad guys to use him for slave labor because he's a werewolf. Charlotte sees this after he sneaks from her window, after a night of passion. No one will help her, so she goes for him herself, even if she puts herself in danger. Gr8 story & gr8 writer . All in all, I totally enjoyed reading these stories. Definitely worth the read. You won't be sorry.

Completed review. Given to me for an honest review. Loved the books. Left me wanting to read more books from these authors. This set of stories are not suitable for under 18. All of the stories have a good story line and a medium level of erotic language and descriptions. This boxed set has various shifters and supernaturals and they all have problems to work through before the end of the book. Overall I enjoyed every story and even my less liked story was interesting.

Wolf Fever by Catherine Vale ---This story starts off with a bang. Isabella is using her job's restroom to daydream about a guy who has just moved in next door. Daydream is a weak word for what she is trying to do. In her words she needs to get laid. Relief is not going to happen since her boss is knocking on the restroom door checking to see if she is alright. Will she get a chance with the sexy neighbor who does say hello, but looks aloof? Or will she find someone or thing to help with her condition so she doesn't have to carry a couple of extra panties to work?

A Shot at Love by Gina Kincade---This is a gay male shifter erotic romance. This is not a story that I normally will read. I started to read it (about a chapter) and couldn't stay with the story line. I decided I would read the rest in a slightly more than skimming mode. The story is well written. The characters are believable, except for the fainting. A male fainting because he is so relieved and happy about his lover? Since this story is so short (approximately 35 pages on a Kindle tablet). I can't say much more without spoiling the story. If this is your cup of tea, I think you will enjoy the story.

Dragon's Dream Dancer (Demon Fairy Tales book II) by Jamie Brumfield---Kensi doesn't want to go into her family's business so she ends up stripping to pay for college. Tremaine is a hunter and he is looking for a particular woman. He sees Kensi and realizes that she is his mate. Since he can't stand other men seeing her nude, he puts his coat on her and carries her out of the strip joint. Tremaine knows that he is in lots of trouble when he finds out the dream weaver he's looking for is his mate's sister. Good thing he is a dragon shifter who can stay awake for a long time. Dream weavers can kill you in your dreams for real in this world. Relatives of Kensi and Tremaine and the Tribunal make for a rough time.

Hers to Protect by Amy Lee Burgess---Ryan works for a company studying shifters. Shifters had come out about 10 years ago, but he had never seen one shift before. He really was glad he was only seeing this shift on video. He decides to be brave and not ask for an escort to his car. Wrong decision. A big cat attacks him and starts to hurt him when a gray blur attacks the cat. Wolves had been hired to patrol the parking garage. Ryan gets his dropped keys and leaves. Ryan had wanted to date a girl in college, but she revealed to him that she was a wolf shifter. He couldn't get away from her soon enough. What will he do when he finds out that she was the wolf that saved his life?

The Talented Mr. MacGregor by Tasha Black---Mr. MacGregor is a teacher at a high school and a temporary alpha. The previous alpha and his mate died and the pack is waiting for their daughter to come home and choose an alpha for the pack. Mac can't wait. He enjoys being the beta and hates being the alpha. All the female wolves want him and he has to avoid them all. Otherwise he might find himself the permanent alpha. He is invited to a mystery dinner and after dinner his hostess finds her special keys are missing. This is not part of the mystery dinner. Mac reaches for his phone to call the cops and finds the keys. Will he be able to prove he didn't take them?

Exiled: A Lunar Falls Novella by Lashell Collins---Sarah left her pack and is trying to like her new life. Even after 8 months she was still uncomfortable hunting alone and having men's hands on her bottom as she served them drinks. He is a veterinarian and his girlfriend was his assistant. His mother got very sick and he asked his girlfriend to leave England and go to the U.S. with him. She refused. When his mother died, Derek decided to stay in the U.S. Derek and Krissy find that there is a very strong attraction to each other. Derek has a secret and Krissy has a mean exboyfriend. Will they be able to overcome these things? At the last page, a new problem pops up. Their story continues in Once Bitten, Twice Shy. Available now. There will be a part 3.

Scent of a Scandal by Annie Nicholas---This is a story that comes from the Chronicles of Eorthe world. Humans do not exist in this alternate world. This is the story of Awe and Isnay. Some might think of Romeo and Juliette but my choice is the Hatfields and McCoys. He "visits" Isnay when it is wash day in the river that divides his pack's territory from Isnay's. The 2 packs treat the river as a neutral territory as long as everyone stays on their side and don't pass the middle of the river to the other's land. As it always happens between feuding people or animals someone passes over the line and is seen. Awe has an assignment to keep track of a blue light sort of like a wormhole. What happens next might surprise you.

Desert Wolf 2 by Anna Lowe---This is a part of a series with Lana and Ty. This one can be treated as a standalone or you can read Desert Moon and Desert Wolf (is 2 years after Desert Moon), then Desert Wolf 2. Now, the story. Ty is freaking out because Lana is pregnant.

Captive Moonlight by Sarah Makela---This is a short story and doesn't have much substance. But it still kept my interest and I had some surprises that I did not see coming. Charlotte loves Joe but her father does not approve of Joe at all. Her father considers him a beast because Joe is a werewolf. One day Joe is caught and taken to a mine to work. The owner considers werewolves animals and treats them as such. Will Joe be able to escape or will Charlotte find a way to rescue Joe?

I understood both sides in this reunion but I must say, though I liked this I didn’t love it due to the over angst about his behaviour. Yes he was a toad but she really did overreact.

I have read a few of this series in various box sets. Though this was okay it really is not a HEA. Seems to be a precursor to another book.
LASHELL COLLINS - EXILED: A LUNAR FALLS NOVELLA
PHOENIX JOHNSON - THE WOLF IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Another great read with a new twist. Another new author for me to follow. This piece was very well written. It was easy to follow with enough twists and turns to keep your attention throughout it’s entirety. The characters are tough and cuddly at the same time. The ending…. Well, definitely not what I was expecting. What is it? You will have to read it to find out. It’s worth the read.

ANNA LOWE - DESERT WOLF 1.2 - Strangers in the Night
A very short but fantastic read in the Wolves of Twin Moon ranch series.
Ty is worried Lana is overdoing things and plans a short escape break. Lana and Ty need some time alone to de-stress from being the ruling alpha pair. As Lana is 6 months pregnant Ty is worried Lana is working too hard and Lana knows Ty is always Alpha 24/7 and agrees they need some alone time.
Unfortunately, their escape is gate crashed by some very interesting guests.
Do yourself a favour and buy the Desert Wolf complete set for good value for money and to get the bonus A Close Shave story.

I really liked this story but something ruined it for me and i can't figure out

what.Perhaps that this was story 2 and i felt like i had info missing i didn't have

the picture of the whole story from the start.
still i do want to read more of all this and see what is happening!!!

I don't know what it was about this short story but i didn't like it...
was it the repetive wording...or perhaps the all too familiar storyline...
i can't say but i found it boring and not that much intresting...but thats me...
Yet the characters made me smile a couple of times and i'd like to see Zack

struggling more into the bar with his over protectiveness and Sarah fighting

against the bond and torturing him a lil bit more.

So the first time you meet someone you give a full detailed story of your life like

you are all friends and just have missed a few years from each others life?
really???she almost got raped and she felt the need to see to Derek???
and she was almost raped and her concern was if he was going to tell her?
And again HE was shaken by the ordeal and she was just cool with what

happened???
I find it somehow offending The way she asks him all the way how he got this

way !!!!!!!

Also almost raped ,definetely slapped around and still she persuades him to take

a nap and massages him!!!

Oki really don't know how to express how wrong this whole story is to me while

reading it.

Ok i really can't stom from commenting and writing this about....

So...You are almost raped and you are abused by an ex boyfriend...you find out

that your new boyfriend is a werewolf...you massage him and put him to sleep(yea

yea i could laugh here as well) and through all this you are tottall unfazed and you

go on with your plans of making pizza for dinner but instead of the romantic

night you had fantasize you would just keep it to the talk mode of all that

happened during the day...

yea once again i just can't express how wrong this story is!
it actually is mind boggling!

And it just keeps getting better!!!!!

Of course its only natural after almost being raped and abused to go for

shopping,to flirt,to make plans for dinner and to return to the new boyfriend to

have sex!!!!


I know i keep saying i don't really know what to say but i keep writing in this

review but as things progress in the story i get the idea that the characters are a

little confused...i think that Krissy is the man and Derek is the girl .
Krissy with the we need to talk but i don't want to push you behaviour is too

manly man for my taste ...i mean come on she was almost raped and after that

she didn't even have a meltdown...just a shower and she just changed her clothes

and went on with her day that included sex!!!(yeap not gonna live the "after

almost rape behaviour" down anytime soon)

I facepalmed more than once in this story!!!!

Oh my god this story seemed endless!

Isnay and Awe were awesome characters and the plot was really amazing!!!
It was fast paced,funny with enough action to keep my interest!

This is a short short story of the beginning of their story and i would want it to be

the first story and Scent of Scandal to be second as right now it just seemed as a

repeat of what i had already read...
Still the sweet relationship between Awe and Isnay brought a smile to m lips.

this time i am glad i did.
I found this story really sweet and something i would like to read more about!!!
The story was intresting and the writing was easy to read and kept my interest.

Joe tries to protect Charlotte, but cannot stop her from being bitten by one of the werewolves with disastrous results.

Where are these feeling coming from?
When a sexy hot move in next to Isabella she can’t figure out why her lust factor is off the scales. Marshall knows that Isabella is his mate but she human so he hasn't made a move to claim her. Until the costume party do the two even talk to each other and that’s when the steam starts to rise. Well written and very entertaining to read.

A Shot at Love by Gina Kincade 5 Stars
Figuring it out
Micah tell Jason he needs a break from the relationship but thinks he may have waited too long to figure things out. Jason had had another man at his place and Micah doesn't know who or what he is to Jason. Jason has been keeping an eye on Micah since he left but something seems off with him today. Micah find the courage to go to Jason’s house when he knows he alone. This is a very well written love story that is very enjoyable to read.

Dragon’s Dream Dancer by Jami Brumfield 5 Stars
What an interesting mix
This love story has some action and adventure in it, as well as a very interesting cast of characters within the book. I can see a lot of stories coming from within the world created here. Self-contained story that is well written and entertaining to read.

Rediscovering each other
Ryan and Hailey knew each other when in College and would have taken things to the next step had Ryan not been put off by Hailey’s admittance that she was a wolf shifter. Ryan was a jerk about it. Five years later Ryan finds himself being protected by Hailey from cat shifters due to a project he’s on. The sparks are still there between the two but can Ryan put his prejudices aside? Well written and enjoyable to read.

Mystery dinner party goes array
J.D. MacGregor (Mac) is the temporary pack Alpha until the former Alphas daughter comes home and picks a new alpha and mate. In the mean time the Alpha pull to all eligible females keeps Mac hard and on his guard. That is until the dinner party where things get a bit strange with a real life crisis and some missing keys that somehow end up in Mac’s pants pocket. Well written and entertaining to read.

Finding a way back home
This wonderfully well written book has a lot of high running emotions in it. With Sarah having left her pack in shame of what her father and brother had done. And then there is Zach who had gone along with them in their plight against the Alpha. Zach accidently stumbles on Sarah in a bar she works and finds himself imprinting on her as a true mate. But Zach is exiled from the pack and if he and Sarah get together that means she can never go home. Well written and very entertaining to read.

On the Run by Bethany Shaw 5 Stars
Chance meeting
After being on the run from her pack for a few years, Marcia smells another wolf in her city. Friend or Foe? But her wolf likes the smell. A few weeks later in human form she smells him again and they talk. This book has some nice action and adventure and a love story mixed in. Well written and very entertaining to read. Self-contained story this is a very enjoyable read.

Krissy has a new neighbor named Derek and boy is he hot. While bumping into each other they struck up a friendship that turns into more. Krissy’s old flame comes to trample on this and want Krissy back at whatever cost to include almost raping her, that is until Derek steps in. Now the old flame is more out to get them both. Interesting and very enjoyable to read this story.

Awe from the Apisi pack, the pack that has a bad reputation before the new Alpha took over. Isnay is from a rival pack and the only daughter to the Alpha even though she herself is an Omega. The two have eyes for each other and can only see each other across the river borders. Will they ever get to have more? And when The Apisi Alpha asks Awe to go on her pack territory to protect them from the Blue light and portal, will Awe be able to keep away from Isnay without getting caught. Well written and very entertaining to read.

Desert Wolf 2 by Anna Lower 5 Stars
Trying to take a break
The Alphas never get a break but Ty is determined to get him and Lana away for a few days. Then he wants to get her to work less now that she’s 6 months pregnant. Learning to delegate is hard for Ty but Lana’s determined to get him to do just that. Once at the cabin a possible new threat arrives and With Lana’s diplomacy they just might get a new ally. Well written and fun to read this well written short story. Part of a series and yet this story is self-contained.

Captive Moonlight by Sarah Mäkelä 5 Stars
Love know no prejudice
Charlotte is in love with her betrothed Joe, even though he’s a werewolf. After one of their nights of passion he leaves out the window to not get caught by her maid. But as Charlotte watches him leaving he’s attacked and captured by some bad guys. No one including the sheriff wants to do anything because he’s a werewolf. So she goes looking herself and get’s more then she can handle. Well written and very entertaining to read this self-contained story.

First thing I must say I really enjoy this box set about shifters and their mate. I think reading this short stories it's one of the best way to discover new authors. Write a short-story it's more difficult than write a complete novel, you have only a few pages to tell a good story, it's not so easy.
Now I'm going to review the box set.

“Wolf Fever by Catherine Vale
Curvy Isabella is about to discover exactly why she can't stop crushing on the gorgeous, and mysterious Marshall Reede. Can the plus size beauty handle the explosive passion of a sexy and edgy wolf?

Hot story and funny to read thanks to Isabella POV. The story is all about the "mating heat" between Isabella and her neighbor. Short but I enjoyed reading about their encounter during a mascarade.

I really loved this story by Gina Kincade, sweet and so full of feelings, Micah's longing for Jason, the jealousy he feels, his desire to win back his ex-lover. One of my favourite story

This was a surprise. I really liked the world created by Jami Brumfield, intriguing, and a story well written with a good plot, action and amazing characters.

Hers to Protect by Amy Lee Burgess
Hailey Green is the girl who got away. Ryan Campbell needs to prove he’s worth a second chance, but first he must accept the wolf as well as the woman.
Really nice story. Ryan did his worst in the past with Haley breaking her heart, because the truth about her, being a wolf, scared him. But now he wants to make it up to her, and he finds out he is still in love with her. I loved their story, it's beautiful and I really enjoyed reading it.

I read it, but I wasn't very impressed with the story and its characters. I found it a little boring. I'm sorry.

Exiled from his pack for conspiracy to commit treason against his Alpha, fate – and a beautiful woman from home – brings Zach Mason face-to-face with the one man who has vowed to kill him on sight.

I loved this one. Zach is everything Sarah doesn't need and want in her life, but he's her mate. A beautiful story, well written and I really liked them as a couple, their bond, their love for each other, but also their need to return home.

Could a dark secret revealed by a new lover be something you could overlook just to have him?

Nice story. Krissy met her new neighbor Derek and from the beginning the attraction is mutual, but Derek is hot, but also a very good guy, and werewolf. But Krissy's ex fiancè is not so good, and the troubles start for them. The end seems to me a little bit cliffhanger.

This is the kind of story why I'm in love so much with shapeshifters stories. Hot and sweet, and a mate so strong and dominant, but Who cares so much for his mate and their baby. I really enjoyed Desert Wolf.

I really liked the setting of the story and the two characters. Charlotte is very brave, she loves Joe and she's going to do everything she can to rescue him. A story a little dark, but I liked it very much.

They don't see each other again for five years, when Hailey saves Ryan from an attack by by a lion shifter. Great book! I loved the characters.

The only problem is that it isn't the mystery being acted out by the guests. This is a sexy, funny and fantastic book. I loved it!

When Isnay is pushed into the river, Awe jumps in after her and saves Isnay's life. Wonderful love story!

Desert Wolf 2: A Twin Moon Ranch Short Story by Anna Lowe

Ty and Lana are wolf shifter mates, and Lana is pregnant with their first child. Ty is worried that Lana is working too hard and finally convinces her to take a few days off with him. They leave the ranch and go to a cabin in the mountains. After a brief interruption the couple continues their time off. A sweet love story. I enjoyed this book.

I received an ARC of this box set to read and review. I love a good shapeshifter story and this box set introduced me to some new sub-genres in the shifter genre. I highly recommend this box set. Overall rating- 4.7

Wolf Fever by Catherine Vale- Rating- 4.5
I started this story and it was good, especially the funny opening scene. Then, BAM, it got H-O-T! I think I wanted to get laid even more than Isabella by the time I finished the story! Based off the description I thought this was going to be a BBW book where the heroine obsesses over her curves, but it wasn't that way. It was tasteful and not annoying, which gets two thumbs up from me. I only wish some of the spelling mistakes had been fixed. I normally ignore them, but for some reason they bothered me in this story.

Yes. Yes. Yes! I have a ton of M/M books waiting on my Kindle, but I've never read any of them. I am glad I took the plunge with this one. Gina Kincade wrote a detailed story that didn't leave me with questions despite how short it is. This story is achingly sweet and you can feel Micah's remorse so deeply. Absolutely beautiful story.

Now this was an Alpha story! I greatly enjoyed this book. The story was intense and enthralling. There was more plot than just gaining a mate, which made this a fantastic read. This is book 2 in a series so it does leave a slight open ending for the next book. Even though it's book two and part of a series it can be read as a standalone.

I love pack rival stories. Despite how short this was Annie Nicholas was able to create twists in the story. I loved Awe's determination! This is part of a series, but can be read as a standalone and it comes with a bonus scene from when Awe was flirting with Isnay.

I highly advise reading Desert Moon before reading this short little story. It's part continuation of book 1 part bonus scene for everyone who loves Ty and Lana. You can read it as a stand alone, but you'll feel left out and it wont be as satisfying unless you know the characters better.
The story is sweet and full of alpha male wanting to protect his mate at all costs. It's tender, realistic, and beautiful. Great little added bonus to Desert Moon.

Whoa! That's one steamy way to start a book! I loved this story. It was a western wolf book, which was unique for me. It had some action and mystery and lots of determination from Charlotte. The story was fast paced and sweet.
