Wow!

So I decided to buy the first book, my it would be a simple one and done book. Just some easy reading to pass time with, didn't expect much, maybe like Heinlein's Have Spacesuit Will Travel. Fun, but nothing much more. Easily forgettable fun.

Instead, I get thrown into a giant story with so much detail and multi-galactic world building as detailed as Game of Thrones or Lord of the Rings.

This has been an addictive six book series that I will not forget. My only regret is I'm done with the story. Such a great beginning, such a surprisingly big story, and such a good ending.

Definitely read this, not sure what else to say.

Fight For Yourselves

I can state that the complete series from start to finish has been a revelation. It has taken us the reader on a journey introducing complex characters with ease and at the same time ensuring that we have been enthralled, making easier to keep turning the pages.
Evan and Sara have thankfully ended up together and I am sure young Jake will enjoy both effigies in the future.
Highly recommend reading the complete series without prejudice.

Toy Starship Series

Just finished Zero, the 6th and final book in the series and writing my fist review. Not of this book (which was excellent) but of the complete series. Very well written with excellent character development and never ending excitement. It’s kept me up many nights and stolen my focus many days when I should have focused elsewhere. That’s a testament to how well it was written. Thank you!!

Worth the wait for the sixth…

..book written with an amazing story behind it.
From the ex-soldier in all of us to the amazing hero we never actually were. This book is a trip through it all told with an amazing imagination, capturing every feeling to man, from despondent to sad, scared to brave, young to old,…
Ah living with wisdom that age doesn’t;t give but experience does.
Great series with those who love to read and escape!

From ZERO to INFINITY in a Heartbeat!

The slow steady build up of the first 8/10 of this volume, And there will explosive release of breath and tension, and the resolution of all the tightly wound questions in the last 2/10 are both exhausting and satisfying! Even though some of the answers are both obvious and inevitable.. It is still One Hell of a Ride!

It's obvious and inevitable, Michael's writing keeps you engaged and

what a treat

I’ve read other books by Mr. Forbes and loved them. This series is the finest I’ve ever read by him or any other. I was transfixed and sadly didn’t do anything else the whole time I was reading. No housework, no laundry nothing! I barely fed the cat! I snacked and after finishing this book I was happy and sad. Happy for the characters and sad because it was over for me. Read this series, you won’t regret it. You will be happy you met Evan

Starships, hardly toys

Forbes is a consummate storyteller with a unique idea about how a toy could be the savior of a galaxy a billion light years away. The sixth book brings the story to a satisfying conclusion with an answer that I didn’t see coming. A worthy read for every sci-fi fan.

I found this series amazing.

From the first title I was very skeptical that it would be a series I would like. I didn't just like it, I found it amazing! Once I started reading each new book, I couldn't stop reading. I had to find a good stopping place to start from when I could pick it up again!

Not the pew pew stuff, but reflecting real life

Good yarn by Forbes again, not so much magical and mystery, this time.A good story a bit of typical American exceptional as usual what do you expect! Good few hours of reading, and the ending was to be expected, I saw it coming like life, a lowering of expectations like end of the universe a falling into entropy

Surprise Ending

It's a great conclusion to an Interesting series. Some of the series is just fluff and was disappointing. But on the whole a good read. The science is off, and it really annoyed me that the author used "centrifugal" force which doesn't exist in the series. Anyone with a science background should know that.

That’s a 4.5 from me .. I thoroughly enjoyed the quirky originality of this well written series.
In my 76 years I’ve read a lot of Sci Fi and this is good! A novel concept presented logically (of course you have to suspend belief) and avoiding fantasy, (no wizards or dragons here .. just SCIENCE fiction) it is fast, furious and swashbucklingly epic!

A little bit of closure.

I could never understand how the individual groups who transferred through the Zero found their respective groups. They arrived naked and somehow were sent off to their own fortresses
on earth. How did they get there in the middle of the desert to their bases on earth in different countries??

Great sci fi!

I really enjoyed this read! Would rate it 4 1\2 stars! My only criticism being the military aspects, particularly the ending one, was a bit much detail for me. Still, I fully enjoyed the rest of the entire story!! Written very well, and imaginative !!! Will look back for more from this author!!!

the best sci fi book series ever!!

M R Forbes has written the best series of books I’ve ever read.
I couldn’t wait to read the next book, he did a great job in setting out the characters and storyline.
It’s a shame that he didn’t write more of the series, but I guess it had to end sometime
Thank you again. 😎

Terrific

It's A sign of a great series when each book seems to get better than the last and when the last book is read you feel like everything's been Said that needs to be said.

This is a great series I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys science fiction and even those who don't.

Toy Starship series

This has been an interesting series that combines space opera with special ops action. It starts with a mystery and changes into a hunt by many different factions. The mystery remains throughout the series but events and discoveries made the end clear.

I thoroughly enjoyed this entire series of books. The cast is huge but the major people are well drawn and believable. The action is very well done. As a. bonus, I found no typos.

Awesome series

I loved this series so much it hurts to see it end. The story ark is full with no trailing threads and leaves you satisfied in the storytelling. Great characters and action. I hope to see more from this world that was built.

Exciting, things did not always go as planned

The people seemed real. Their actions were consistent with their true feelings as they grew and changed. They were true to themselves.

great ending

Warps everything up nicely. Lots of non stop action. The mystery finally being solved is very satisfying. How he needs is is also satisfying.

I just started this and 80% reads like it was written by AI, the phrasing and repetative use of sentence structures is a dead giveaway.

The detail involved in describing each motion, item, individual is incredibly complex to my simple mind, but worth every minute of this read.
