Reckoning

Rate this book
Novitas has already survived the Creativity Stone once. It may not survive it again.

Joshua wanted this day to be perfect. After five years of rebuilding, grief, and endurance, Fides has finally begun to heal. The village stands again. Hope has returned. And Joshua is ready to ask the question that will change his and Namid’s lives forever.

But before he can speak the words, everything begins to unravel. The Creativity Stone has been stolen. A guard lies dead. And all signs point to the one man they swore had changed. Dedecus.

As monstrous attacks strike the village and suspicion turns friend against friend, Fides must decide whether to trust the man who once ruined everything, or abandon him before history repeats itself. Because as the village of Fides descends into fear, a familiar enemy is moving from the shadows, one born from the wreckage of Transcendence and driven by a vengeance years in the making.

For Joshua, for Namid, and for Dedecus, the battle ahead will demand more than strength or strategy. Because redemption was never a single moment. It is a path. Downfall broke him. Transcendence nearly consumed him. Now the fate of Novitas hinges on whether Dedecus has come far enough to stand when reckoning comes.

Joshua is ready to FINALLY propose to Namid and then Reckoning comes back. Everyone thought he died. He did not. Now Dedecus is being blamed for everything he does. He feels it is his punishment for creating Reckoning and he must stop him at all costs. But what will it cost Novitas while he is trying to stop him? Book 3 is a great one and spoiler. It leaves you asking for book 4. It doesn't all come together perfectly and tie up all loose ends.
