About the author

This book does what it says on the tin: Ethan Parker has vanished, and there’s ten reasons why.
But it is so much more than that.
Ethan is an incredibly kind person, but with a quiet kindness that he’s not snowy about. He doesn’t help for the gratitude or the praise; he does it because it’s the right thing to do. Unfortunately, he’s surrounded by people who are not like him. Not just because he’s a scholarship student at a university full of the rich and elite, but because he’s a truly good person in a sea of people who worry about wealth, reputation, and status more than kindness. But some of these people have gone too far, and Ethan is willing to settle the score by making their sins public. But in the end it’s not for revenge, it’s actually Ethan trying to do the right thing is his own way.
Interestingly, this story is not told from Ethan’s POV, but through Ezra’s, the rowing team captain and heir to a veritable throne. From the outside, no one thinks there’s any connection between the two boys, but it’s much deeper than anyone would ever know.
Thank you so much to GRR for this arc!

This is the first story I've read by this author and I really could not set it down.

There are many stories with a college bully but this story came from a different perspective. It made me want to see what would implode next.

Ethan’s character is amazing even though his parents and others don't look at him that way. Ezra is the rich kid at college with all the expectations from his family to follow. Then they meet. This starts a road that brings to light a lot of things wrong with college and the problems with family expectations.

This story has a lot of emotion and now and then I found myself having to stop just to breathe. I love the relationship between these two. I liked how the relationship between others and their parents made a big part of who they are. I think most of all I liked thinking that this could really happen in a world where the bullies don't seem to get their karma.

I can't wait to see what comes from this author next.
