This was an overall ok short and angsty story, but I had a difficult time understanding why 仲廷玉 would take such complicated measures for his revenge when IMHO wouldn't it be easier just to hire someone to kill the guy he hates and then find a way to escape from the emperor's clutches?

The ending also had me speechless because I felt really bad for 楊桃 = = 我虐點真的很低。。。
