""Forgotten"" takes the Guardian Legacy series in a new direction, as Lil wakes up on Mount Hermon Island after months of unconsciousness only to find that she has no memory of her life before waking up. As she learns about life there, and deals with her father and half-sister, she learns about the rules of society among the Hermonites and champions the cause of the minions, those who were unlucky enough to be born without powers. As she moves forward toward fulfilling her destiny as the one who will unite her people, she has to balance her responsibilities and her love for Bran."

Honestly???? I didn't like it! Not like I did the first 3. It was just meh. In fact, I was getting very irritated in parts where it involved her and her dad. He was evil in all 3 books and now he gets some morals???!!! WTH! I can't stand the guy and now Walters is making him into a nice guy! Gag!!!! Besides her losing her memories, she made some new friends and we learn that there were some nice demons.....well, we already knew that in the first 3 books so why now?? And suddenly, especially towards the end they are "her" people?!? What about the other half of her being a guardian!! Those are her people as well. Anyway, I digress and getting more irritated. Loved the interaction between "green eyes" who we all know who that is. I also liked that the author didn't change her in having an evil persona but she was still the nice, caring girl who thought of other peoples feelings. I missed Kim, Izzy, Remy, Sykes, her grandpa and the other Guardians so much! And the ending?? Now she won't kill evil people because they are "her" people??!! Again...WTH!! Did I say I didn't like the book? I wasn't aware that there was going to be 5 book either so when it was getting close to the end and not coming to a conclusion I thougt, "Argh!!!...another book"!!? I'm sad because again, I loved loved loved the first 3 but disliked the 4th. Guess I'll have to wait to see how it ends. Maybe Walters will put some more intimacy between Bran and Lil too. It was getting boring between them.
This picks up where Hunted left off. Only it is nothing like you’d think. We’re getting the other side of the story. And this is where my anxiety picked up. Lil has no memory of anything with the Guardians. Actually she has no memory of anything, including herself. So she’s having to navigate living with the Hermonites on her own, and find her own way among them.
Here’s the thing. I can’t say I enjoyed the book. I think I read it with so much apprehension that I couldn’t enjoy it. I won’t say it’s bad, it really isn’t, and as with all things there ARE two sides to every story and truly in order for Lil to LISTEN to the other side, she had to let go of the first side, which she wouldn’t have done with her memories. So I UNDERSTAND why Ms. Walters did what she did. But it kept my anxiety so high. I ate an entire ginormous Hershey’s Dark chocolate bar. I am going to reserve my judgement on this book until I read the next one or two or however many it takes to get this part of the storyline figured out. What I did love, OH HOLY the emotion that this book draws out. Because I’m so invested in Lil and Bran and Sykes and Remy and Ares and Janelle and Kim and Izzy and Angelia, it was really hard for me to go through this with Lil KNOWING what I know. And though we got to fall in love with Green Eyes (Bran) all over again, and we got to fall in love with Lil even more because she’s going to be who she is no matter what and she’s growing into such a fantastic woman. I can’t say I’m keen on several people and I will say that some are growing on me slightly.
Where this is headed, I think I know, but who knows anymore because I didn’t think THIS was going to happen.
Ms. Walters has just expanded this world of the Nephilim into an insanely different direction and it was NOTHING like I thought it was going to be, so I’d love to see how she draws it all together and coalesces into one complete world. I won’t say that this book was a disappointment. It truly wasn’t. It was just from so left field I had no idea it was coming. So if there is any disappointment it was simply because of my expectations and not at all from Ms. Walters writing or even where she’s taking the story. Because like I said, I do understand why she did what she did and the reasoning is beyond solid. It just made for some uncomfortable reading for me. So would I recommend...(https://textuallove.wordpress.com/201...) Read the rest of the review behind the link.
I was gifted an ARC copy from the Author in exchange for an honest review.
First thing first: Ednah, love, I love you woman. You are a brilliant writer and thank you for letting me read this book earlier.
And the book....
God! THIS IS JUST AMAZING! I loved the previous books and this one I just simply ADORE! I was so not expecting the twist in this part! It's simply ingenious!
Lil is waking up 7 months after the Tribunal with no memory or whatsoever. There is a big whole in her mind and she can't remember anything or anyone. But she doesn't disappoint me. She is still the same Lil. The Chosen one with a lot of power but still with amazing level of compassion. She still wants to help those who are mistreated and in pain. She helps the minions. The Hermonites with no powers, as a good leader would do. But she is also betrayed and she is not sure, who she can trust. The only person to seem always be there for her is a handsome, green eyed boy :D
Bran....sigh...he is just perfect. Again he is risking everything to just be with Lil. And I love it. He agreed not to interfere with her journey, but helps her as much as he can.
Ednah has shown us a different side of Valafar. And I have to say. I liked it. I really started to love him as a father figure. He was a totally different person in here. You could see that he loves Lil. And he would do almost anything for her. I still don't agree with his actions, but I do like him a bit more.
As always I want to kick Ganyn's and Solnage's butts. They so annoy me!
I miss Lil's Guardian friends and her Grandfather a lot here, but her new friends are also amazing! I hope we will be able to see them much more in the next part!
This is the best part of the whole series! You can see how well the characters are developed and story just flows perfectly.
Amazing 5 stars!!! Just becasue there is no option to give more!
Well I finished this book long time ago but I was so disappointed and angry, that my review would have a lot of spoilers. So I'll try to not ruin everything for some people.
The previous book was with memory lost of 4 months that I felt that was unnecessary, so when I got to the point when she looses her memory again :/ I was like are you kidding me, this again. But ok maybe there is a reason behind it. So I went on with it and so did she (making this book from "are you kidding me" to "the sh**s" to "I am furies and I want my money back"
Next problem - the main charter (yes I forgot her name already and I don't plan to go and look it up) did not grow - mature.....she stay same and "my people" became her slogan, my people this my people that. Well as I remember the gipsy were her people and she was a human. Well soddenly her "my people" are the demons.
Ednah TRY to give us good look at their life style and social structure, but end up missing so many chances to explain what makes them different form the guardians, why they buy humans souls, what makes them turn evil, what drives them go after humans, how that brings money to them. Who are the lords?
Some of the previous evil character are here but they are just like any other normal human. Vampires don't do anything, her Dad doesn't do anything, he acts just like any ordinary human dad. Nothing of the person who orchestrated the fight for leadership, or of the cunning leader or scary demon that her grandfather was trying to protect her from. All just one big miss and waist of my time, very disappointed.
I wish I can give zero stars. One star it's still a star.
Wow, Ednah Walters you have outdone yourself yet again. I really didn't have anything figured out, and I totally bought everything Lil/Princess Lilith did too! This was a fascinating installment in the Guardian Legacy and really showed just how powerful love can be, in many forms. I am so proud of our little red, and Bran of course. As with other books in the series, there's no shortage of twists and turns winding down the passage way of words within its pages, but this one also gave us a great deal of insight into who our heroine truly is. In a way I wasn't at all expecting. Sometimes, even if you don't remember who you are, you just know what you stand for and will fight for it no matter what. Nothing short of immaculate in its conception, this is one of the finest fantasy books I've read this year! 5 stars
I always like Ednah Walters books but this one didn't land the ending. There were too many open-ended stories and the character appears to have ditched friends who were 100% loyal. In all I was disappointed that the story ran out of steam at the end.
This maybe Ednah Walters' best novel yet. The turn this series took in this book is so smart and incredibly interesting. I am dying to read the next book. Also, #branswoon
AHHHHHMAZING!!!!!! I loved loved loved yet another book of Ednah Walters!! It's up there in my favourites!!
I desperately hope that the next one comes out soon bc I'm seriously hooked and NEED more! I'm not kidding!! If you haven't read this series...you SERIOUSLY need to!!!!
That's all I'm going to say...weeeellll apart from this....Thanks Ednah Walters for writing this awesome series, among others. I have loved reading it and look forward to getting my hands on even more of your books. :) your talent in writing is incredible and the world you pull us into is always very unique. No matter how messed up things get in life finding a good book can ALWAYS help if even only to sidetrack you...and you have accomplished that in all the books of yours that I have read. So a big thank you for that!!!
WOW!! What an amazing book. “Forgotten” by Ednah Walters starts with Lil waking up on Mount Hermon Island with zero memories. She gets a fresh new start with her Father Valafar and half-Sister Solange without knowing how she really feels. As she adapts to her new situation she learns more about the world of the Hermonites. Ednah Walters does an amazing job with the character development and growth that occurs in Lil, Bran, and Valafar. I really enjoyed reading and learning about the Hermonites. Oh and the way Bran is included in Lil’s new situations is so heartwarming. I really enjoyed this book and I hope there is more to come in their story.
At the end of "Hunted," Lil had been sentenced to live with her Father for a year in order to even the odds of having lived with the Guardians for a year. Lil intended to take that year one day at a time, but her plans are shot to hell when she wakes up as Princess Lilith after a seven-month-coma with no memory of who she truly is or of the life she lead before waking up. All she is sure of is: It all points back to Guardians, and not in a good light.
Lilith struggles to find herself and piece together the stories of her past (even when at times she would rather her past remain buried in the deep recesses of her mind). She struggles to sort truth from lies and determine who is on her side and who is determined to control her every move.
As if that wasn't enough; a handsome boy with stunning Green Eyes follows her wherever she goes, guiding her along her journey to reach her true potential. Who is he, and why does his very presence bring Lilith such comfort?
As Lilith finds her place among the Hermonites, she finds herself taking up the cause of the SubSixers and all lower Hermonites in a bid for equality among the different levels of hierarchy. Meanwhile, she learns the difference between a Hermonite and a Dark Lord: All Dark Lords (bad demons) are Hermonites, but not all Hermonites are Dark Lords.
Can Lilith convince her people of the differences between them? Can she persuade them that peace is possible between them and the Guardians? What do the Guardians think about all of this? All these questions and more I hope will be answered in the next installment in Ednah Walter's Guardian Legacy series.
Despite all the unfamiliar faces and my initial strong dislike of familiar characters, I grew to adore this new perspective into Lilith's world. Not all Hermonites have to be neutral to be good. Who woulda thunk it? I loved seeing Lilith's progression of character and her determination to be a force of good towards her people. I adored her compassion towards the SubSixers and the leadership attitude she adopted on their behalf. She is growing into an inspirational young woman, so different from the young girl we used to know. There is no doubt that Lilith has drastically changed, but unlike the Guardians I am absolutely positive that it is for the better and that she hasn't changed those aspects that we all have come to know and love about her. Lilith is a sight to see and I cannot wait to see how she continues to change and unite ALL of her people.

Forgotten is the first book that has amped up my anxiety and need to shake my fist at the book gods (or rather, the deliciously evil plot-twisting mind of the amazing Ednah Walters) within the first chapter—no, even before that, by the end of the prologue! Knowing that Lil’s life was going to be difficult now that the Tribunal had thrust her into her father’s world for a year as “Princess Lilith of the Hermonites”, did not at all prepare me for the complications that she faced with the addition of a complete memory wipe! Although frustrating at times (I kept yelling what she was forgetting from the previous books at my Kindle in the hopes she’d hear me), it was fun re-learning the hermonite-guardian world from an unbiased point of view and seeing Lil grow as an individual, without her guardian memories.
Having moved from The Valley as Cardinal Fallon’s Junior Cardinal Psi granddaughter to Mount Hermon Island as Lord Valafar’s Special Princess daughter, Lil love has the chance to expand to all types of nephilim regardless of their status as hermonite, guardian, powerless (minion), or powerful (Special/Nature-Bender/Prime). In fact, with Lil’s new understanding of the hermonite point-of-view, I too was forced to reevaluate how quickly I judged characters based on to whom they were loyal, rather than the fact that they could show loyalty at all. It was relieving to see that, even without her memories, Lil retains her leadership qualities and her drive to make peace among all of her people. I’ll add on a selfish note, that I appreciated the continued presence of Bran’s love, and—viewing him through Lil’s reset mind—the chance to re-meet and fall in love with him all over again. Ednah always manages to keep the romance alive and interesting without it overshadowing the self-discovery and high-energy plot she creates that makes other paranormal books so hard to immerse yourself in.
Forgotten is a fresh and unique storyline that continues to follow the path of the Chosen One as she makes headway in her divine purpose of uniting all nephilim in a common peace-full goal. I hope there is more to come from Lil, Bran and their friends (both hermonite and guardian) as they begin to bridge the schism.

I was so fortunate to have recieved a ARC copy of this book!..
**No Spoilers** I absolutely enjoyed reading this book. It had me feeling all over the place emotional. At times I was annoyed but once I got a bit more into it I started to love it just as much as the previous books. The way Brans love for Lil showed wonders and the fact that he kept strong and never gave up was commendable. What you do for love hehe :) Lil well everything about her character and the path that was set for her was amazing her character is one for the ages. She is truly a heroic character, one of awe :)
The storyline from the first book to this one so far has been one truly captivating journey, I love how all the elements were put into not only the characters but the story really well It made for a great read. You get to see more about the Hermonites in this one and so its not as one sided. Although I still love the Guardians just as much though especially SYKES :D I would love to see more of him with Lil his character completes this story down pat as does Dante his mystery is unparalleled in a good way and I can't help but love him!.. This book feels like the start of something new and exciting to come and I definitely cannot wait for more!!..
All in all an absolute amazing series so far and a awesome book this is with great characters new & old a definite Recommend to anyone. You should jump on this bandwagon and join in on this exciting series. You will not regret it :)
5++++++ stars :D
Thank you again Ednah Walters for writing such awesome stories :D
Mild Potential Spoiler, Though Taken From Book Blurb on amazon
This book stands apart from the other books in this series because it focuses almost solely on Lil. She awakens from a seven-month coma with amnesia. She is reeducated through the lens of the Hermonites, but Lil is always true to herself. She also has Bran watching over her.
It is a really great book. Once I removed my preconceived notion of having the Guardians be the center of Lil’s whole world, I read it as if it were a stand alone book. Through that lens, I much better appreciate the story of Lil within her father’s world. I understand the importance of the journey Lil must make without the Guardians. I do miss Grandpa and the rest of the team, since Ednah has already made me fall in love with them.
By the end of the book, I can see the significance of all that Lilith learns, and see it as a necessary plot point if she truly is to fulfill her destiny. Ednah really outdoes herself with a story full of mystery, intrigue, and many unexpected twists and turns. She has done it again with an extraordinary story sure to please all of her fans.
I have been privileged to download an advance reading copy of this book from NetGalley.
I have come this far to follow this series. I have waited for more than a year to find out the end result of Bran's and Lil's story. Well, the wait is so worth it. Great mind great work is what I say. The story entails Lil's journey while living with her dad (Lord Valafar) and the Hermonites for a year. Bran, on other hand, will do anything just to be with Lil. I adore his love and devotion to his other half, Lil. As living under the rules of monarchy, democracy is not freely implemented. There's a hierarchy. It is an archaic mentality that is hard to beat when people are powerless to make changes. Lil's job--as the Chosen One--is to unite the two factions (Hermonites and Guardians) who are in war for ages while her old memory is gone temporarily. I am grateful to the author for illustrating the truth about Valafar. Since the story is left open in the end, I am hoping for another installment in the future.
I had the honor of receiving an ARC of this copy and couldn't wait to get started. I couldn't put it down!
It was, by far, my favorite of the series yet. Upon starting the book I expected animosity toward her father's people. And from them directed toward her. I expected an understanding between Lil and her father that the things he's done won't go unpunished. And that some form of retaliation would be had for the suffering he had put Lil and her family and team though. I expected it to be hard on Valafar. What I didn't expect, was for Lil to forget it all. Despite having no memory of her life before waking on Mount Hermon Island Lil has her own mind about things. Even after being told the rules and explained how things are ran she will do as she sees fit and fair for her people. Being fed lies or at the very least, half truths about the guardians doesn't help. As her powers slowly begin to emerge and Lil gets to know herself again one strong personality trait begins to come to light. Lil will do anything for justice.

ForgottenI received an ARC for an honest review of this book.
After nearly throwing my Kindle when I finished "Hunted", I hurriedly opened Forgotten to continue my journey with Lil and Bran. What I found instead was immediate twists in the story's direction kept me frantically reading to find out more. I could not put the book down. Often books later in a series become repetitive or boring, not so with this addition. Ednah Walters has found the secret of keeping stories fresh and interesting. Characters have depth and quirky personalities. This book should be on everyone's "MUST READ" list.
Just read through the night to finish Forgotten. Ok - now to vent.
Ednah! What are you doing to me? You know I love you right? You know I've read everything you have written right? So please tell me that there is going to be another book in this series and that you have a tentative idea of when it is going to be released?
I loved it. Really interesting plot twist and I don't think you have taken this series in a different direction- it comes together perfectly. It might be different from what you originally intended but it's the perfect way to bring Lil into her destiny.
Ok so now I've told you that you are awesome- again- as you already know from every review and comment I make on your books - just let me tell you I am grrrrr'ing you right now that I have to wait for more
Having read Ednah's Runes series, I just had to check out this series and boy am I glad I did. Again, it's YA but I didn't let that stop me, this writer has an amazing ability to weave a story that's extremely intricate and exciting, changes and evolves over the series and also throws in a couple of major plot changes that test your allegiance so that you get the full picture instead of just one side's point of view. Nothing is black and white with only one truth and one side but it is shades of grey and they intermingle with each other and somewhere in the middle is the real truth. Couldn't put these books down, can't get enough of this series and also this amazing writer. Enjoy, you will be back to read more!
Ednah made Lil such a fascinating character in this book. Losing her memories made me like Lil more because she was exactly like she was meant to be with or without them. Bran sneaking in made the book even better, I was sad not to have the old characters in this one but I can't complain because she did such a good job adding new ones. These new ones made me feel for them and like them just as Lil would, I couldn't believe that I was able to change my perception of some of the bad people from the last book but I did and I am happy about it! I can not wait to see what Ednah has in store for us next because i am anxious to find out what happens next.
Ednah has out done herself again. Loved this book from beginning to end. I didn't want to put it down. Loved reading this from a point of view. Glad we got to see what it is like where her father lives. Glad she made friends while she was there also even if she lost her memories. Loved how Bran was all mysteries in this book so glad he was in it. Of course we all knew he would find a way to be with Lil somehow someway. he could never leave her alone. Can't wait for the next book!
well......my first question..... when is the next book out ?!?!?!!! OMG ......loved this book, love this series!!! and the twists??? geez, I'm still kind of reeling. I do not like to put any spoilers out there, but this series has become a definite re~read for me ( and trust me, there's a big list and it takes a lotto get on my list.) This book has it all, if you like intrigues , suspense , demons, guardians , romance, heartache, betrayal yup this series is for you.
I was fortunely given this book as a arc reader .ednah Walters did it again .the book does not disappoint. A must read for all who have enjoyed her guardian series . at times it made me sad,mad and joyful . you should read the series from the beginning to get the full impact and to understand the plot . great job ednah thank u for your wonderful talent
i fell in love with Valafar as her father in this book, while i don't agree with the way he did some things to get her he really proved he just had her interests at heart. i also loved that Bran was there to watch over her and the way he went about it. All in all this was a great book to continue on from betrayed and awakened.
I really liked this book. It was written in such a way and I just wanted to keep reading to see what was going to happen. A little conflict here and a discovery there and a suspenseful romance brewing - leaves the reader wanting more and more.
