Dull, slow, repetitive

I'm sorry, but not overly impressed. I mainly kept reading to learn what she hadn't shared but even that was what I expected except for her staying. Little to no romance. There is a lot of repetition and it really dragged on for ages longer than necessary. There were errors, in one explanation the ex was involved with socialites, in another explanation it was high society s$x workers, so which was it? Probably doesn't matter. I've never seen a divorce take so long and any potential drama is handled behind the scenes or through attorneys. The two main characters are barely together. They start out apart and end apart and there's not much worth rooting for in between, especially when we discover the reason she left to begin with. It wasn't hard to figure out that it was an ongoing thing and would turn out as it did. The only question is why she stayed so long. No, it wasn't better for the kids to see her live out a lie. Mostly we're left with a long drawn out picture of a woman rebuilding her life and career, her friendships, her new apartment, on and on. Although I appreciate a strong female lead who is not a doormat, at least by the end, there is no new love interest so it's all a little dull and anticlimactic. We get little satisfaction regarding the ex and OW. It would have been nice to see an epic fail on their part. Author eludes to there being more to the story in the next book. Nope, if you can't finish the story satisfactorily in this book, why would I read another?

Great read

I loved this story

I loved Robin perspective and relationship with her friends and sons.

My only wish is that in prologue (spoiler ahead)

Karen got her just deserts. I loathed that character.
