I'm a wife and mother of three teenage kids. I've been married to the same wonderful man for twenty years. I've decided that if I can survive raising three kids then I can survive anything!! I haven't uttered the Mama's curse yet, but it could happen any day now. You know the one..."I hope you have a child just like you someday."

I'm an avid reader and lover of all things romance. I've spent my entire adult life waiting to follow my dreams of becoming a writer. One day this past summer, I decided to just do it. No more wishing and hoping. I haven't quit my day job, but that is my ultimate goal...make a living telling stories of love.

I write contemporary gay fiction. I hope you will love reading my books as much as I enjoy writing them.

Bi-phobia: Bi-phobia is an aversion toward bisexuality and bisexual people as a social group or as ... and may be based on negative bisexual stereotypes or irrational fear

This book seems ultra bright with almost cartoonish caricatures of gay men waltzing through its pages.Chase was overtly sensitive & cried buckets at the drop of a hat.His love potential Mr Wright had to overcompensate constantly to soothe any feelings he hurt with dramatic displays of atonement. At times I wondered if Chase was actually a prepubescent female on the cusp of womanhood masquerading as a man or a child in an adult's body when taking into account his reactions to any negative situation.

Since the book is the first in the series every man with a potential future story that Chase catches a glimpse off, much to the dismay of Mr Wright is labelled brutally beautiful, either aloud or according to his inner musings.

And he zings with 90% of these beautiful individuals when he shakes their hand upon meeting them though the largest current surge belongs to Mr Wright.

Chase never did get down to telling his love interest of his absurd fear of bisexual men although he said he was waiting for the right moment for the big reveal. That moment never arrived.

I say his reasoning about bisexuality was absurd because him catching a past boyfriend munching on a woman is hardly scarring material for life & cause for endless nightmares but than we talking about a highly sensitive unrealistically beautiful butterfly aka 'Chase' who everybody gasps when they catch first sight of him because he is yes so beautiful.

The fact that the book abounds with so many beautiful gay men makes it a highly unrealistic read & their struggles thus far are pretty tame. Humor in a book should be used sparingly but here every character is a comedienne & by the 4th chapter every one liner joke uttered somehow began to lost it's appeal due to overuse.

I never imagined you could overdose on sugar but I think I just did while reading this book.

DNF at 50% because I just can't go on!

I can honestly say that I never thought I'd find a more annoying book than "Mystery Man" but here comes a book to not only prove me wrong but to actually make me wish for my most hated book back. I don't get why this book has almost 4.0 rating, I don't get why this author is bestselling, if this book is any indication of what the rest are like I want absolutely nothing to do with her ever again!

I read half the book, and that was out of sheer stubborness but I just couldn't go on. This book is so "sweet" that I almost went into a diabetic coma. And I mean this in the worst way possible! !!!

Chase reads like an overemotional, horny 14year old girl. An aparrently "very beautiful" 14yo girl that everyone wants because of her looks but always fail to see deeper. He has some wonderful hang-ups about bi guys that just made me want to punch him but I wouldn't dare because of the freaking crying! He was constantly crying over everything... and I do mean everything! He probably cried necause the washer "ate his socks" too, or because the bakery was out of chocolate croissants. .. Ah, no. That was me!^.^

And Wright who is supposedly the more "manly" of the two is almost just as bad! What 21st century bussinessman who looks like Clark Kent with a Superman body would believe in shit like soulmates and destined ones. This is not UF or PNR!

I won't even go into the writing bit... Just not!

I've never encountered such a stomach-turning sugar-cheese mix in my reading life and I hope I never do again!

This was a good love story. There wasn't much drama and I appreciated that it was a relationship that grew into love and not one that happened instantly or this would have lost major points for me. Some books can work it out and some not so much. This was one that wouldn't have been able to.

I liked both guys. They were a good match and had great chemistry. Their smexy times were pretty hot. Gram was my favorite side character. She stole every scene she was in. She definitely brought some humor every time she appeared on page.

Of course as things are going so well something always has to happen near the end to disassemble the relationship only for it to brought back for its HEA at the end. The thing is that what brought these two to split for a hot second was just so stupid and I thought, although Chase had a right to be upset at Gray for his dismissal of him, I still believe he overreacted big time. It just felt so dramatic and over the top for something that I found not to be that monumental of a moment. The way Gray went about 'winning' him back was very sweet and I loved it.

If your in the mood for a sweet love story that's low on the drama but definitely filled with some cheesy moments, this one just might be for you. ;]

This would’ve been super adorable as a novella but it wasn’t one. Pity. Until like 30% I enjoyed this audiobook A LOT, despite it all being very convenient plot-wise, it was really cute.

But now, having crossed the half-way mark I really don’t care anymore.

Connor Brown as a narrator was okay, hot voice, but I found his performance underwhelming.

There were a lot of characters introduced here that come to get their own book down the road and maybe I try one of them and see if they work better for me.

I wanted to like this. It started out with a bang and the first chapter had me hooked. But then it went downhill from there.

dramaription

The story is too long. Probably over 100 pages too long. There is a good place to wrap the book up, but then a completely ridiculous misunderstanding happens and it pushes the MCs apart for a time. The situation where the misunderstanding happens is completely unbelievable and it takes away from the previous "HEA". Either you're in love and you've found your "soulmate" (yes, we have soulmates here.) and your relationship is strong and above the minute drama, or you aren't and a minor misunderstanding is enough to split you up. It can't be both ways because one pretty much negates the other. The misunderstanding is Gray's fault, and Chase's runs off with ex fuck buddy JJ to cry his eyes out. (Yes we have lots of crying here.) It's ridiculous because even JJ doesn't fully believe the situation is what it "seems".

There is a level of cheesiness in the writing. Gay men, straight men, purple or blue men, in my reading experience do not speak like this:

I’m really proud of you, Gray. It has never escaped my notice how hard you worked so that I could spend more time with my wife. I know that there were times you resented it and thought it was the reason for the demise of your relationship with Devon, and that may be somewhat true. However, I firmly believe that things would have worked out between you if Devon had been your soulmate. You’ll know it when you meet the one that God created just for you and you will find a balance between work and home.”

I liked the secondary characters. Chase's grandma was a senior citizen vixen and I really wanted to know more about JJ (Chase's friend with benefits). I am actually much more interested in JJ than Cruz. Cruz's story is the next book to be released but honestly there wasn't enough in this book to make me care one way or the other about him.

I have to say there is one aspect of this story that completely offended me. Chase has a dislike of bisexual men because one cheated on him. This situation is brought up more than once and I felt like it was in a "shaming" manner. So a douche cheated. It wasn't because he was bisexual, it was because he was a douche! Obviously bisexuals don't have a corner on the cheating market considering that Devon (Gray's cheating partner) is the whole reason Chase and Gray meet! I did not like the negativity directed at bisexuals in this book. As if bisexual men shouldn't be proud? As if something was wrong with them? Cheaters come in all flavors, honey.

Philip McAllister is the man who caused me more hurt than any other person in my past. When I met him, I foolishly thought he was the one for me. He was educated and funny, as well as sexy and sensitive. My Gram loved him, as did all of my friends. Early on in our relationship, Philip and I discussed relationship deal breakers. His deal breaker was a person who did not want kids. My deal breaker was a bisexual man. Philip didn’t react oddly to my statement, but he did ask why I felt that way. I told him that I did not believe that a bisexual man would ever be completely happy with one sex or the other. As a proud gay man, I only wanted to be with other proud gay men. He accepted my answer without further comment and we never discussed it again.

The editing issues would probably cause some readers to run screaming. The story is written in alternating POV and and one point the chapter is titled one character but it's actually the other character speaking. There are proofreading errors, and also word choice errors. I found some sentences awkward and hard to understand without reading more than once.

I appreciate the effort put forth by the author, I am pretty sure this is self pub, but I can't honestly recommend this one. I'm not sure if I'll pick up the next in the series.

Kraft claims it's the cheesiest. Wisconsin proclaims itself the cheese state and even has special hats. Chester Cheetah often expounds on the "dangerously cheesy" nature of Cheetohs...

None of them can compare to the massive overabundance of cheese in this nauseating missive.

"My throat squeezed tight, tears formed and fell from my eyes, as my heart broke for someone I didn't even know. I looked at Chase and saw tears rolling down his beautiful face. Every protective instinct I had, even ones I didn't know existed, rose to the surface and I went into action."

And that's the "manly" one of the two. The both of them cry and wax poetic about their feels far too often, but Chase is undoubtedly the worst. Bitch leaks water like a hundred year old faucet. Annoying as hell. And can we talk about how unbelievably annoying these two are? "I want him, I can't have him, but I want him, no, I can't have him." On and on and on for page after page after page, but it's fate, soooo....Yeah, they finally, finally get together, but does the drama end there? Of course not because, like so many other irritatingly clichéd characters in romance fic, they have to make things 3,000 times more complicated than they would ever need to be. An issue I see in a lot of fiction now (even lauded fiction like Game of Thrones) is the infuriating habit authors have fallen into of creating problems for their characters that aren't real. Every single problem that Chase and Gray have is made up. By them. They create their own problems, then can't get past them. Then there's melodrama and crying and hissy fits, and it's all so fucking juvenile I'm surprised to discover I haven't been watching an episode of Degrassi.

Should we talk about Chase's irrational dislike of bisexuals? It would be useful to employ this kind of plot point to make a statement regarding the prejudice inherent even within repressed minorities, but that's not what the author does with it. Chase won't date bisexuals because a previous boyfriend cheated on him with a woman.

Did I mention Chase is an irrational twat waffle?

Jesus H.W. Griswold, I really wish shit like this would stop.

There are plenty of reviews that convey my feelings on the major aspects and I am just going to point them out very quickly, so as not to waste your time:

- The story takes place in Glitterland, where everything and everyone is gay and beautiful and sparkly, and even the douchest of the douchbags farts glitter and poops cookie-dough.

- The sex. It goes on and on and on in small bouts and huge chunks. There is no escape from it, even when the MCs are pouting and trying to avoid each other. It simply continues on by moving into the imaginary dimensions of Glitterland in their minds.

- This book not only rained, it golden frigging showered and thunder-stormed all over my BI parade. Because it turned out, we, the BI people, ruin the families, corrupt the innocent and will bring down the society. Or some such twisted, perverted nonsense.

And my personal pet peeve:

- Gram. The one suffering from an acute case of graphomania and verbal diarrhea. To be honest, I stopped reading "Chasing Mr. Write" right after AN Walker cited a few paragraphs from her book. THAT was IT for me.

PS Where did this 3.95 rating come from? O.o

I like Grayson (Gray), and Chase from the start even if their first meeting almost became their last. This story for the most part is a sweet and adorable romance for Chase and Gray. In spite of the unusual way that they met and that it took a little while for them to each get over the circumstances, Gray was determined to make it up to this sweet man and takes his efforts to win Chase very seriously. This is a good one when you’re in the mood for an instant love, low angst, super sweet, perfect match romance.

Amazing M/M romance ! Not a normal way to meet the man who is meant for you, but gosh, it was epic !
Grayson was waiting for the door to open, but didn't expect to see beautiful Chase. Chase had come to his hook-up's home, but immediately knew he should have trusted his instincts about this guy, he is definitely an "idiot."
Idiot Devon drops Chase's pants and the lights go on, because it's a surprise party. Surprise is on Chase and everyone there, but Gray only sees Chase's brown eyes, and Chase only sees Gray's big baby blues. Chase shoves Devon and leaves.
Chase works two jobs and has been extremely unlucky in love. He shows up at his job interview and it's Gray, the blue-eyed man he'd seen across the room at the "idiots" house. They are both shocked, and what is going on in their minds?
After much discussion, truths revealed, and apologies accepted, Gray begins to woo Chase. This is a heartwarming tale of finding your one and only. Of course it's complicated, but the ride is funny, sweet, and loving. Beautifully written, with intense emotion, all consuming desire, and true happiness for these wonderful guys. Loved it !!

Highly recommend, and I'm starting book two, Rhythm of Us right away.
ENJOY !!!

If you enjoy MCs sleeping with other people, soap-opera like drama and a convoluted plot, this book is for you! After reading first chapter, I had no idea what character was the love interest or even who was doing what to whom as the POV was all confusing. This book needs an editor like now. For me, I'll skip the horrible grammar and Dynasty-like drama. YMMV.

I absolutely fell in love with the main characters of this book, Gray and Chase. And that's why I'm rating this book so high. However the whole 80% misunderstanding and what happened after it was silly at best and that did take away quite a lot from my enjoyment of this book.

My rating for this maudlin piece of garbage is closer to -9000 stars; unfortunately that is not one of our options. It was going along fine, just "meh," until this bullshit happened:

"My deal breaker was a bisexual man. Philip didn’t react oddly to my statement, but he did ask why I felt that way. I told him that I did not believe that a bisexual man would ever be completely happy with one sex or the other. As a proud gay man, I only wanted to be with other proud gay men. He accepted my answer without further comment and we never discussed it again."

Of course, the aforementioned Phillip then proceeds to cheat on him.

This disgusting bit of biphobia goes completely unchallenged by both the narrative and the person poor delicate flower Chase is telling his woes to. It really wouldn't have been a problem to portray this type of prejudice in a gay romance, since this is an attitude I've seen before among many groups - the idea that bisexual people cannot be trusted. However, with no pushback whatsoever against this grossness, I'm left with the conclusion that the author herself holds this completely unjustified view and she thinks this is a totally rational position for Chase to hold.

Gross, gross, totally irrational bullshit is what this is. So do yourself a favor and skip this one.

Grey came home --> saw his BF blowing Chase --> Grey and BF broke up --> Chase got a new job --> Ahh, new boss is Grey --> Grey shocked , said couldn’t work with Chase --> Sad Chase calling JJ, fuck with JJ, on page --> meanwhile Grey flirting with cutie and got a BJ.

Fast forward --> in a perfect world of Grey and Chase, everything easily solved --> everyone’s forgivable and sweet --> 70-ish something Grandma still have a wild sex with her neighbor --> sigh (jealous).

Long story short (after some skimming) --> Chase is the most wanted person in a sweet candy town --> Perfect Chase, shouldn’t be abandoned --> Then here comes the perfect world of Chase and Grey --> everything is ‘the best’ (don’t stare at my poker face, please)

-->L was sleepy all the time.
-->L was very tired.

-->L blamed her PMS.
-->L DNF-ed at 50%

Talk about heavy-handed. The reader is repeatedly reminded that fate wants the MCs together no matter how awkward their first meeting is. Very basic characters: Mr. Rich and Mr. Nice. Both are the most attractive men ever seen. Also, everything they do together is just the best ever. The best day ever. The best shower ever. And, of course, the best sex ever where they do things they never have done before. All within the one month that we are shown. The miscommunication doesn't seem realistic. So, why three stars instead of two? Well, I actually read the whole thing and didn't put it down.

Chasing Mr. Wright, by Aimee Nicole Walker, is an emotional, captivating, and exhilarating -- if you are a veteran of m/m reads or new to the genre you can't go wrong with Chasing Mr. Wright. First off, this is a full story -- it is not a cliffhanger. This book is full of feelings including love, betrayal, devotion, lust, and there is quite a bit of angst ... There are also a couple tearful moments ... So be ready!

In the beginning of the story we are introduced to Chase. Chase is an amazing guy who is looking for two things first his elusive Mr. Right and second his dream job -- he has had the boyfriends, the one nighters, the friends with benefits but none of those satisfy him..he wants a man who will love him unconditionally through it all..someone to complete him. Chase is gorgeous, great sense of humor, independent, smart ...and he can cook!! So why is he single? Simple he won't settle and wants someone to connect with on a deeper level than looks -- he wants love. Chase has all but given up on ever finding his prince but he is very excited about landing a dream job...

Greyson Wright-- This is a man who is in a relationship simply because he doesn't have the drive to find something better. He is settling and he is ok with it ....until he catches his partner of 10 years with his pants down. Yeah, that finally gives Greyson the motivation to call it quits. But isn't it true what they say...when one door closes another usually opens...and Oh the shock Greyson gets when his office door is opened and his new Personal Assistant walks in!

Beyond Chase & Greyson, the secondary characters in this story are well written and essential to the story -- Chase's grandmother will leave you laughing and wondering just how Chase ever is anything but a deep shade of red!

This story is a great contemporary romance - Chase and Greyson have a whirlwind romance and they complete each other add in sexual chemistry to make your toes curl and you have "Chasing Mr. Wright" but don't worry this book is so so so much more than just "between the sheets content" -- it's a well rounded complete story. Overall I give the story 5 Stars and cannot wait to read the following stories in the series.

Not only is this grievously under/not edited (swear to GAWD how hard is it to make sure your character names are spelled the same every time), I refuse to continue a book that hates on bisexuals and perpetuates stereotype lies.

This started out sooooo good. Then, it bombed. Total flop on the characters. They sound exactly the same so I had a hard time remembering who was talking. This book was more like chick lit with a few penises thrown in. I mean seriously. What self respecting man "frolics" in the ocean and squeals in surprise?

I was surprised by how much I really liked this one. I'm not sure why I was hesitant, but I'm so glad I read it.

Gray and Chase have such a weird but great story. They meet under really awful/weird circumstances, but they have almost an instant attraction to one another. But as much as they thought they would never see one another again, fate has something else in store for them.

While the attraction may have been pretty fast, it was almost a slow burn. And the ride getting there was really nice. I don't normally like slow burns, but this one worked for me.

I will say that Chase kept talking about something in his past, but yet we never actually find out what that is. He says he'll tell him after California, but that conversation never takes place. I wish it had, because maybe it would've explained his harsh reaction towards the end.

Either way, they have a good ending, however, I wanted more in the epilogue. I wanted to see if they got married. Did they have kids together? etc... Hopefully we see more of them in future boois since it would seem this whole series has players we've already met in this series. Or the majority of them anyway.

This book just flat out annoyed me from the start!
It was just too convenient how they have all these ties to each other yet have somehow never met or heard of each other in what comes across as a small town setting.
There were too many random side characters you're supposed to care about, yet I didn't even know enough to really care about the main characters who were acting like preteens!
Kinda gave up after the 50th reiteration that they like each other but nothing can happen, not to mention the unneeded explanations about how the book industry is struggling - just felt preachy, but dude you're preaching to the wrong audience because *shock* people have chosen to read your book and support the book industry!!!
Honestly this book just annoyed me 😂

The first book I ever read by Aimee Nicole Walker (Curl up and dye) was so horrible I didn't step near anything written by her for years. And I was gob smacked then to find the ground zero-series and the two follow-up Series "Matrimony and Mayhem" and "Sinister in Savannah". The "Zero Hour"-Trilogy was excellent, and the other two very still pretty good. But now I picked up the first volume of the "Fated Hearts"-Series and it is so awful I could vomit. I can't believe it. Is there two totally different people writing under the same name? How can someone who wrote the amazing story of Locke and Key be the same person who wrote these two shallow MCs whose names I can barely remember. There is practically no story.

It’s a small world after all. Grayson Wright is a workaholic that puts his job before his relationship more often than not. He decides to surprise his boyfriend of ten years by having their close friends and family over for a surprise party. Across town, Chase Rivers is on a date with the sexy guy that has been coming on to him for over a month. A small niggle in the back of Chase’s mind has always thought there was a little something off about Devon, but the guy seems to truly like him. Imagine Chase’s surprise when they make it back to Devon’s home and just as Devon heads down south… SURPRISE!

In the strangest twist of fate to possibly ever be written, Chase winds up working for Mr. Wright. It’s positively hysterical. The two men are seriously dumbfounded and speechless when they are around each other, they’ve done nothing but think about each other in the brief time since that fateful first glance and finding out they are about to be co-workers. Each one thinks the other hates him, but they seriously just don’t know how to communicate their true feelings at the start. A valiant effort to keep things professional is made, and quickly dies.

The attraction is instantaneous and the passion they share is volcanic, but the author made up for that sort of insta love aspect by holding off on the full on sex in the story. There is a lot of making out and heavy petting, but the consummation only comes after a steady climb, the anticipation was amazing. And while the core of this story was Chase finding his Mr. Wright, there was a solid storyline underneath all the chemistry.

Chase and Grayson have both been betrayed by an ex, that betrayal left a mark on both men. Then there is the issue of boss and employee dating and not just how the two men handle that situation, but how their co-workers react. Feelings get hurt, words are misunderstood, conclusions made. Chase and Grayson will have to figure out how to be friends, lovers and co-workers without letting the lines blur.

This book grabbed my attention from the start, with that horribly awkward meeting, and held it until the very end. The way Walker wove the stories together, connecting several characters and their lives in such quirky or unique ways was amazing. There was so much content and a lot of pages, but I never felt like the story was dragging, the pace was consistent and the story just flowed well throughout.

If you are a fan of cheesy, romantic, love stories you are really going to love this book! There was a strong storyline wrapped up in a sugary bow with a whole lot of passion and some toe curling sex. It reminded me a bit of Scotty Cade’s series with the co-workers slash lovers that had been in love for years, but never admitted it, and then finally got their chance at a HEA. So if you like Cade, this is a no brainer.

This book was strangely episodic. Issues would arise, get resolved and a new issue would arise, and so on. It felt like the author had a word count goal and would wind up a storyline only to realise she hadn't reached the word count so would start up again.

It also didn't help that this book was setting up a fair number of characters for subsequent books. Every time far too much detail was given about what should have been an ancillary character I thought "ey oh, this dude's getting his own book."

Questions, why did Gray invite so many of his colleagues to Devon's party? Were any of Devon's friends there? Seems not given how everyone filed out to leave Gray and Devon alone. If some of Devon's close friends were there wouldn't they have stayed behind to support him (irrespective of what he'd done).

Why were Cash's colleagues suddenly standoffish, this was never explained.

Gave the book two stars for the above issues and all the super cheesy, corny romance (treasure hunt make up, I'm looking at you). Then dropped a star as I remembered all the grammatical errors. The three most annoying (site when it should have been sight, glutinous when it should have been gluttonous and, my personal hate, drug as the past tense of drag. I feel authors should have some command of the English language and anyone who thinks drug is acceptable as the past tense of drag clearly cannot claim that).

Well, there's a bit more editing errors in this book than I prefer. This is a pet peeve of mine. However, despite these errors, I really enjoyed this book and Chase and Gray. At times, the author falls into too sappy and sugar sweet events. I like a writer to WEAVE a tale not just TELL a story. This story is more of a telling but I know she is new to writing and as a new author she does have some very positive ideas and I just LOVE the unique way she brings Gray and Chase together initially. Some things are a bit repetitive and diary like but a lot of characters are introduced that will make for future interesting stories as well. I think the author has a good grip on unique events and romance and intimate moments that are heartwarming. My only suggestion would be to work on the "weave" to truly develop a gripping and emotional journey for her MC's. She has a good handle on the HEA too. I'm looking forward to more of her work.

So I'd read some reviews before going into this one because... well... don't we all love a good office romance? Especially when it's done well!

But rest assured, I was not disappointed! Chase and Gray were so frigging cute together, more so after the whole 'you almost fucked my boyfriend' mishap..

The only complaint I have for this was that there needed to be a lot more of the wooing that went on towards the end, especially when Gray was trying to get Chase back, writing him love notes and things like that. Gotta keep it cute for softies like me!

Otherwise, this was a great book with a well executed storyline filled with swoon-worthy characters and a well deserved HEA for those characters.
