This is a really enjoyable, quick read! What makes this novella special are the quirky characters. They are a lot of fun. It was also interesting to learn about bayou living and Southern customs. I can't wait to read more of Leslie Langtry's work and also to read more Miss Fortune adventures.

Cute short story. Margaret finds out her dad (who disappeared when she was little) was shot in the swamp. Her twin wants her to prove their mother's innocence (and save her reputation). She ends up hooking up with Fortune, Ida Mae and Gertie who help her discover the truth.

Five million...what?

Enjoyed reading the book. These additional characters to the series are hilarious. Hope more characters and books to come. Wonder if So-So will return or if he finds something out in the marshes..

Super!

I was hesitant to admit a substitute author into the Miss Fortune series, but I adore her writing, and will look at her other books now as well.

Hilariously funny, great story, highly recommend

I love this addition to the Miss Fortune series, all your favorite characters are included, small town mystery with a twist. Love the twin sisters I am sure we can all related to having one or both of these sisters even if you are not a twin. Ida and Gertie are true to form.

Nice, quick read

This book stayed true to the original characters, but I would have liked to have see more of them in the story. I missed the humor of the original stories, as well. Otherwise, it was a nicely crafted novella, well enough written that I will check out the author's other books.

Gam enjoyable read

I love the characters in this book. Gerti and Ida and Fortune are always fun. The book was over to soon though, I was definitely just really getting into the book and it was over so quick. A good short story. Would of loved it to be longer.

Very enjoyable

Great addition to the De Leon Miss Fortune books. I enjoyed getting to see Ida, Gertie and Fortune from Nargaret's point of view.
